‘Ridiculous’ smoke from shoppers after Halloween decorations spotted in The Range months early

SHOPPERS are frustrated after spotting the Halloween merchandise in The Range, with many claiming it will “spoil the kids’ fun” if the items hit the shelves three months early.

Crafty mum Lorna Cooper from Paisley was shocked to see a selection of new autumn products in preparation for the spooky season.

And it sparked outrage among other customers who found it “ridiculous” that they were already in stores during the summer holidays.

Post message on Feed your family on around £20 a weeka public Facebook group with 678,000 followers, Lorna shared snaps of the packed shelves at The Range.

The photos showed a number of orange, green and white pumpkins in various sizes.

There was also a bright orange pillow with “Hey Pumpkin” written on the front and white and black skull candles.

Pumpkin mugs, dark candles and orange glasses were for sale, and kitchen jars with the words “Spooky Season” and “Pumpkin Season” lined the shelves.

Other fall products included large squirrel-shaped doorstops, acorn statues, and hedgehog-shaped garden decorations.

Alongside the post she wrote: “Damn!

“We haven’t even had a summer yet and the Range already has Halloween decorations up.”

Her discovery caused a stir on social media, with many people reacting strongly to the store for selling the Halloween decorations so early.

Someone said: “Isn’t it ridiculous? It used to never start until September… It spoils the fun when it all starts so early.”

Another added: “I wish they wouldn’t do this.”

Someone else wrote: “Ridiculous!!!!!”

While a fourth replied: “I hate Halloween”.

However, not everyone was annoyed by the new items, with many saying they couldn’t wait to get their hands on the creepy decoration.

One Halloween enthusiast wrote, “I’m excited, I love it.”

A second responded enthusiastically: “This makes me so happy.”

Meanwhile, a third commented: “Well, normally Halloween gets forgotten.”

A fourth noted: “It’s not really a surprise that with autumn just a month away they’re already selling a lot more Christmas and Easter stuff than they would a month in advance.”

And someone else wrote: “For those who love Halloween like me, we’re super excited that more stores have followed TK Maxx’s lead… Halloween is a very short-lived holiday in the UK.”
