Robert Lewandowski refuses to play again for Poland until the manager is fired

The legend Robert Lewandowski has sensationally stopped playing for Poland – “until” the manager is fired.

The Barcelona striker blamed Michał Probierz a “loss of trust” after the national coach had stripped him from the Captainincy.

Lewandowski, 36, has achieved 85 goals in 158 internationals.

He posted on social media: “Given the circumstances and loss of trust in the coach of the Polish national team, I decided to join playing in the Polish national team until he is the coach.

“I hope I can play for the best fans in the world.”

Despite his iconic status in his home country, Polish fans have criticized Lewandowski for missing recent competitions.

Probierz then replaced him as a skipper with Inter Milan -midfielder Piotr Zielinski.

But his harsh announcement to retire from the international match has shocked the football world.

Lewandowski has been the striking player of Poland for two decades, after making his debut in 2008.

In terms of club, the former Lech Poznan Starlet de Bundesliga won twice with Borussia Dortmund, then eight times with Bayern Munich, where he also tasted Champions League Glory in 2020.
