Roku has unveiled the latest feature coming to its own and third-party TVs: a photo frame mode the company is calling Backdrops.

This feature, which appears similar to the Samsung Frame and the Fire TV Ambient Experience, allows users to display art on their TV, including their own photos.

The feature includes a range of preset artworks, including famous paintings, abstract works and photographs. Users can dig deeper into each artwork to learn more if they wish.

Backdrops will roll out to all Roku TVs in the coming weeks, with Roku streaming players and streaming bars getting it later this fall.
