Ronnie Coleman’s family shared a new update about the condition of the legendary Bodybuilder after being admitted to the hospital earlier this week.
On Monday, Coleman’s family announced that the 61-year-old ‘was admitted to the hospital’ before he later revealed that he had an ‘infection in his bloodstream’.
Now the family went to Instagram again to offer the last update to its followers and revealed that Coleman, 61, is now ‘awake’ and ‘fully conscious’.
In a message on Friday they wrote: ‘Ronnie is currently under close medical care, and although his condition remains delicate, we are encouraged to share that he is awake, consciously and fully aware.
‘The medical team continues to work diligently to identify the source of the infection, and Ronnie undergoes two advanced diagnostic procedures while we write this to determine the cause.
‘This is a critical period in his recovery, and more than ever Ronnie needs our collective strength, positivity and prayers.

Coleman, 61, is largely considered one of Bodybuilding’s biggest competitors ever and has the joint record for most Mr. Olympia titles at eight.
He also previously won 26 International Fitness and Bodybuilding Federation (IFBB) titles and retired in 2007 after his reign when Mr. Olympia finished.
There was worries about his health after being forced to postpone a planned trip to the UK this week.
In an Instagram message On Sunday, Coleman wrote: ‘Hey guys, I hate to break it up, but I can’t come to the UK this week as I had planned. Unfortunately I had a medical emergency and I had to stay here in the US for treatment.
‘But don’t worry … I am in good hands, get the best care, and I will keep everything through. I am back and better than ever, and I can’t wait to go there and see you all quickly! ‘
