MUMBAI: Days after leader of opposition Rahul Gandhi announced five guarantees in Maharashtra, Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) on Sunday released its manifesto for the November 20 assembly elections, promising a caste-based census and a monthly allowance of Rs 3,000 to women under the 20th century. Mahalaxmi scheme and free travel on buses, free cervical cancer vaccines for all girls in the age group of 9 to 16 years, and up to Rs 3 lakh debt waiver for farmers.
The 49-page manifesto titled Mission 2030 was released by AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge in the presence of Shiv Sena’s (UBT) Sanjay Raut and Arvind Sawant, NCP’s (SP) Supriya Sule and Vandana Chavan, AICC general secretaries KC Venugopal and Ramesh Chennithala, Congress legislature party leader Balasaheb Thorat, MPCC chairman Nana Patole and Vice President Charan Singh Sapra.
For women, MVA has assured six cooking gas cylinders of Rs 500 each annually, shaping the Nirbhay Maharashtra policy and enforcement of the Shakti Act for the safety of women and children, two optional leaves for women employees during menstruation, the establishment of a separate department for self-determination. relief groups, setting up a special child welfare ministry and Rs 1 lakh for girls who attain the age of 18 years.

MVA is committed to ensuring minimum support prices for farmers and simplifying the crop insurance scheme.
For youth, MVA has assured a subsidy of Rs 4,000 per month to unemployed graduates, recruitment for 2.5 lakh government positions, setting up a youth committee for the welfare of youth, providing scholarships through Bharti and doubling the Mahajyoti and Sarathi programmes. The MPSC exam schedule will be announced and the results will be declared within 45 days. A uniform smart card will be provided, through which candidates can pay the exam fee once and take all government exams under the MPSC throughout the year.
