- Ryan Mason has been appointed as West Brom head coach for a three-year-old deal
- This will be the first permanent position of 33-year-old Mason in Senior Management
- Mason has previously had two spells as an interim manager at Tottenham Hotspur
Ryan Mason has left Tottenham To launch his management career at West Bromwich AlbionSigning a three -year contract with the Hawthorns.
Mason spent seven years with coaching at Spurs after a gaming career with the honor of England, was terminated prematurely due to a serious head injury while playing for Hull City.
He quickly impressed and graduated from the coaching roles in the academy to the first team and worked closely with Jose Mourinho” Antonio Conte and then Ange Postecoglou.
Mason stepped in twice to lead Tottenham as an interim head coach – in 2021 and 2023 – but at the age of 33 he left to fulfill his management ambitions.
“Albion is the perfect place for me to be and I can’t wait to get started,” said Mason.
“This is a huge club with a fantastic infrastructure and an incredible fan base and I am enthusiastic about what we can achieve together.”

West Brom finished the ninth in the championship last season, two points under the play -offs
Former Spurs coaches Nigel Gibbs and Sam Pooley will join Mason to West Brom, who finished ninth in the championship last season and boss Tony Mowbray fired in April.

‘We have performed a thoughtful and extensive search and Ryan always struck us under an incredibly strong group of candidates.
‘We are delighted to have someone whose skills means that he has the construction to help us determine elite standards in both preparation and player development for the first team and in all our team programs.
“His experiences and both a first team player and coach under some of the most respected spirits of the game, together with his time leading academic parties, will play an important role because we form a clear philosophy and a uniform identity at all levels on the Albion.”
In the meantime, Spurs chairman said: ‘Ryan has been an integral part of Tottenham Hotspur for a number of years, both as a player and a coach.
“I want to take this opportunity to thank Ryan for all his dedication and hard work over the years, and we wish him every success for the future.”

Mason follows the path of Scott Parker and Kieran McKenna, who also moved to management after coaching in the Spurs Academy.
It still marks an important output of the Tottenham camp in what will be a summer of great change.
The Noord-London club announced on Monday that after many years, executive director Donna-Marie Cullen would resign from the board to work closely with chairman Levy after many years.
Scott Munn will be dropped off as Chief Football Officer after two years. And Postecoglou is also increasingly firmly fired despite winning the Europa League, with more clarity expected this week.
