NEW DELHI: Mumbai police on Tuesday received yet another threat against Bollywood actor Salman Khan, allegedly from someone claiming to be associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
The caller identified himself as the sibling of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.

Police are conducting investigations to determine if the threat is linked to Lawrence Bishnoi, who is currently in prison for several crimes, including attempted murder and extortion.
“In case of threat to actor Salman Khan, the process of registering the case is underway at Worli police station. The number from which the message came is being traced,” news agency ANI quoted Mumbai Police as saying.
The incident follows the recent arrest of Azam Mohammad Mustafa, 56, from Bandra, who was detained for sending a threatening message to Khan. Worli police registered a case after receiving an anonymous threat demanding Rs 2 crore, with warnings that the actor’s life would be endangered. The threat initially came through the traffic police helpline.
Earlier, authorities had taken a 24-year-old person into custody in connection with a separate menacing case.
Salman has previously faced numerous death threats from Lawrence Bishnoi gang members, who fired shots at his home in Bandra in April. Despite heightened security measures, the situation worsened when his close aide, Baba Siddique, was fatally shot on October 12, reportedly by Bishnoi associates.
