Salt Creek Silo: Tragic Event Leaves Worker Dead in Farm Accident

A man has died in a tragic incident at work after becoming trapped in a silo.

Emergency services, including paramedics, police and firefighters, rushed to a property at Salt Creek in south-east South Australia at around 4.15pm on Friday.

The city is located approximately 210 km southeast of Adelaide.

“A 63-year-old man from Salt Creek died at the scene,” police said Friday evening.

SafeWork SA is on site and will conduct an investigation.

The police will prepare a report for the coroner.
