Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Pro may get a design similar to the AirPods Pro

Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Pro may feature a stem, suggesting a design similar to Apple’s AirPods Pro, according to a leak. The TWS earbuds will reportedly debut alongside the toned-down Galaxy Buds 3 at Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event, likely to take place in July. The Galaxy Buds 3 Pro are also speculated to support a range of artificial intelligence (AI) features, in line with Samsung’s vision for Galaxy AI. This new design change is expected to offer an advantage in terms of call quality, the claim claims.

Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Pro design change

According to seasoned tipster Evan Blass, the new Galaxy Buds 3 Pro could feature a major design change. It could feature stems — a design element that Samsung has so far omitted from its flagship TWS earbuds.

A pixelated image shared by the tipster suggests a short stem similar to the AirPods Pro, and a more compact top part of the earbud. While details are still unclear, it also suggests the presence of a mesh at the back of the earbud, which could potentially help equalize pressure in the ear. This could be useful, especially when Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) is turned on.

There is still speculation that it will be an in-ear design with silicone earbuds, as evident from the leaked image.

Other possibilities

The Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Pro is expected to be released in July as a successor to the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro that was launched in 2022. According to an Android Headlines reportBoth the Galaxy Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro will have “Ultra High-Quality Sound” at 24-bit/96kHz. However, what will reportedly make the Buds 3 Pro stand out is its two-way speaker design. It is also said to get Adaptive Noise Control, ANC, and an ambient sound feature.

The flagship Samsung TWS is also getting a feature called Blade Lights, though how that might work is not yet known. The Buds 3 Pro are also said to support 360 Audio and SmartThings Find – Samsung’s app that helps users locate lost or stolen items.

Both TWS earbuds could come with an IP57 rating for dust and water protection and support Bluetooth 5.4. While the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro is expected to offer a battery life of seven hours with ANC enabled, the standard version can offer up to six hours of playback on a single charge.
