Samsung Galaxy M55s 5G with Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC launched in India
Samsung Galaxy M55s 5G was launched in India on Monday. The smartphone comes with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, a 50-megapixel triple rear camera unit, a 50-megapixel selfie shooter and a 5,000mAh battery with 45W wired fast charging support. The handset features a fusion design with the rear panel appearing to have a dual-texture finish. Notably, the phone bears similarities with the Samsung Galaxy M55 5G and Samsung Galaxy F55 5G that are already on sale in the country.

The Samsung Galaxy M55s 5G price in India starts at Rs. 19,999 for the 8GB + 128GB option while the 8GB + 256GB variant is marked at Rs. 22,999. It will be available for purchase in India via Amazon, Samsung India website and select offline stores from September 26. Customers can avail a bank discount of Rs. 2,000 to get the phone at a lower effective price. The handset will be available in two colours – Coral Green and Thunder Black.

The Samsung Galaxy M55s 5G features a 6.7-inch full-HD+ sAMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1000nits peak brightness. The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC. It supports up to 16GB of RAM including 8GB of virtual RAM, and up to 256GB of onboard storage.
For optics, the Samsung Galaxy M55s 5G features a triple camera unit at the back, including a 50-megapixel primary sensor with support for optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8-megapixel sensor paired with an ultra-wide lens and a 2-megapixel macro shooter. The front camera also has a 50-megapixel sensor. The phone supports dual recording, allowing users to record using the front and rear cameras simultaneously.
Samsung has packed a 5,000mAh battery inside the Galaxy M55s 5G with support for 45W wired fast charging. It comes with Samsung’s Knox Vault security and an in-display fingerprint sensor. The handset is 7.8mm thick.
