Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra expected to get more RAM than Galaxy S24 Ultra
Samsung’s Galaxy S25 series, which includes three entries — the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Ultra — is expected to go official in or around January next year. Leaks so far indicate that the flagship phones will feature very few upgrades over their predecessors. A prominent tipster recently claimed that the Galaxy S5 Ultra will feature more RAM than the outgoing model. This year, Samsung stuck with the 12GB of RAM configuration for the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra specifications (rumors)
Tipster Ice Universe on X Posted “16GB yes!” suggesting the Galaxy S25 Ultra could feature 16GB of RAM. The tipster didn’t specify the phone’s name in the post, but the comments make it clear they’re referring to the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
If true, that would amount to an additional 4GB of RAM on the Galaxy S25 Ultra compared to the Galaxy S24 Ultra. The extra RAM could improve gaming and multitasking experience, and enable new AI-based features. All storage variants of the Galaxy S24 Ultra — 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB — come with 12GB of RAM, based on which we can expect the upcoming top-end model to get 16GB of RAM.
According to previous leaks, the Galaxy S25 Ultra will feature an asymmetrical design on the front and back, with a narrower “visual bezel” compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy S24 Ultra. It is also expected to come with a slimmer mid-bezel. The handset is also rumored to sport a quad-camera setup on the back, retaining the 200-megapixel primary camera and 50-megapixel sensor with 5x optical zoom of its predecessor. The ultra-wide and telephoto sensors could also get upgrades.
Samsung is expected to pack the same 5,000mAh battery capacity into the Galaxy S25 Ultra as its predecessor.
