Thanks to images shared by a known tipster, we now have more details on the likely design of the Galaxy Watch Ultra. This new model resembles the Apple Watch Ultra with a square-shaped enclosure and an extra button. It comes in two color variants.
Prominent tipster Ice Universe has leaked the renders of the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra on Weibo. The renders show the wearable in dark gray and silver color options. Both color variants have an orange button on the side, matching the Apple Watch Ultra. Samsung will likely call this digital crown the Quick Button. The purpose of this button is unclear, but it could be designed to quickly perform specific tasks.
The alleged renders of the Galaxy Watch Ultra show a round watch face with a square frame around the display. It comes in black and white band options. The new renders are in line with previous leaks.
Samsung is believed to unveil the Galaxy Watch Ultra during the company’s rumored Galaxy Unpacked event in July, alongside the upcoming Galaxy Z lineup of foldable phones and the Galaxy Watch 7 series. The Galaxy Ring and Galaxy Buds are also expected to debut during the big launch event.
Samsung’s Galaxy Watch Ultra is said to be a direct competitor to the Apple Watch Ultra. A recent leak revealed that the wearable could be priced somewhere between $699 (roughly Rs. 58,400) and $710 (roughly Rs. 59,200).
The Galaxy Watch Ultra is expected to come in a 47mm form factor and is likely to be powered by the Exynos W940 chipset. It could come with a 590mAh battery and a sapphire crystal glass display with a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. It could come with an IP68-rated build for dust and water resistance.
