Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE will be launched next year, Tipster suggests
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 is expected to launch next year as the successor to the Galaxy Z Flip 6, which debuted in July. However, a supply chain analyst now suggests that this won’t be the only clamshell-style foldable smartphone to see the light of day and will be joined next year by a new model that could be friendlier to the wallet. This alleged device is said to join the South Korean tech conglomerate’s flagship range of foldable smartphones as an affordable alternative to the Galaxy Z Flip series.
Launch of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE
In one after on X (formerly Twitter), Ross Young, analyst and CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC), claimed that Samsung’s new affordable foldable smartphone is known as Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE. It is speculated that this device will be launched in 2025 as part of the next generation of Galaxy foldables.
Those hoping for a Z Flip 7 FE should be excited. It looks like a Samsung FE clamshell will finally arrive in 2025.

The analyst further claims that the alleged clamshell-style foldable handset will likely have a similar display to its flagship but could differ in terms of the camera system and processor.
An earlier report indicated that Samsung’s affordable foldable smartphone could reportedly feature toned-down internals to keep costs as low as possible. During its Q3 2024 Earnings Call, the company emphasized that it was “exploring ways to lower barriers to entry so that more customers can actually experience foldable products.”
While the specifications of the alleged device are yet to be revealed, another report suggested that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE may be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which also powers the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 .
Other new launches
There is also speculation that Samsung will develop two entirely new models in addition to the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE to complement the existing lineups. This includes a Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim that could launch in April 2025 and become part of the flagship Galaxy S25 “before and after” series.
Meanwhile, the company is also working on an additional Galaxy Z Fold 7 model, which is said to be a special edition variant similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 6 SE, which recently debuted exclusively in South Korea. There is speculation that this device will be released simultaneously, which means it could be another smartphone to debut alongside Samsung’s seventh-generation foldable devices.
