Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 colors: all the hue rumors so far
Despite being Samsung’s most expensive smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 doesn’t come in many colors. Once you’ve decided you’re going to splash out on a flagship foldable, you’re going to be pretty limited in your color choices. So far, it looks like the same will be true for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6.
The Fold 6 seems very likely to make an official launch this Wednesday, July 10, at the next Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event. If you’re looking to watch the next Unpacked live, check out our guide on how to watch Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2024.
In the meantime, we’ve seen a few leaks about the potential color options, including one that claims there will only be three Galaxy Z Fold 6 shades. So read on for what you need to know about the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 colors.
Navy
Our main sources of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 color information so far have been Ross Young (a leaker with a decent track record), who named five shades the phone will apparently sell in, and the same set of Galaxy Z Fold 6 colors have also been leaked by Evan Blass, who also has a great track record. Anyway, one of those shades – which also appeared in another Galaxy Z Fold 6 leak (this time from SmartPrix) – is Navy.
We don’t have images of this one, but it could look similar to the blue Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 pictured above, though given the name it may be a little darker. This is likely a smart shade, but one that will stand out a little more than other smart shades like black. There’s no word yet on whether there will be a color-matched frame, too.
Pink or light pink
Ross Young also mentioned a light pink shade, while Evan Blass and SmartPrix simply described this color as “pink.” Either way, we don’t have a photo of this one and it hasn’t appeared as a color choice on existing Galaxy Z Fold devices yet, meaning this could be a genuinely new option.
That said, we have seen Samsung use pink on other phones, including the Galaxy Z Flip 3, which you can see above in a pink hue. So it’s possible that the rumored pink or light pink tint of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 will be similar.
Silver Shadow
Another color that Ross Young, Evan Blass, and SmartPrix have been gossiping about is Silver Shadow. Silver is a classy, conventional, and enduringly popular shade, but it’s one that Samsung hasn’t offered with the Z Fold line since the Phantom Silver Galaxy Z Fold 3, pictured above.
However, the ‘Shadow’ part of the name suggests the color will likely be darker, perhaps more gray than the gray Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 you see above.
Made Black
Ross Young and Evan Blass claim that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will come in a Crafted Black color. However, according to them, this is likely a Samsung store exclusive color.
What this could look like is evident from leaked renders of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 from Smart Price and @OnLeaks (a leaker with an excellent track record) show the phone in a black color, as you can see above.
Black is an obvious choice, as it is a popular color for smartphones. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 is also available in this color.
White
Finally, Young and Blass claim there will be a White option, though this could reportedly also be a Samsung.com exclusive.
White is a very popular smartphone color, so it’s sure to do well. We’re not sure what shade of white this is, but it could look something like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 in beige, pictured above.
Other possible colours
Given that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 comes in five colors, and five more have leaked for the Z Fold 6, there may not be any other shades. But it’s possible there will be more this year, or that some of these colors are incorrect.
In that case, it’s possible that this phone will borrow some of the Z Fold 5’s color options, which for reference include Icy Blue, Phantom Black, Cream, Gray, and Blue. Right now, Phantom Black is already being speculated, as is Dark Blue, so we don’t expect a standard Blue to be offered either. Gray could also be a little too close to the rumored Silver Shadow, and Cream could be a close cousin to White.
So that just leaves Icy Blue as an option. Of course, there’s a good chance we’ll see a completely different fifth color, or that there won’t be five colors this year. We’ll likely know for sure come July, when the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 is rumored to launch.
