Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6 launched: see price, availability
Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 launched on Wednesday as the South Korean tech conglomerate’s latest book- and clamshell-style foldable phones. During its Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung announced that the two foldable phones will support the company’s Galaxy AI features, as well as Google’s Circle search feature and Gemini AI chatbot. They come powered by a custom Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform for Galaxy. According to Samsung, both the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 will get seven years of Android OS and security updates.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 pricing starts at $1,899 (roughly Rs. 1,58,600) for the base model with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of inbuilt storage, while customers can also buy variants with 512GB and 1TB storage for $2,019 (roughly Rs. 1,68,600) and $2,259 (roughly Rs. 1,88,700), respectively.
On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 is available in a 12GB + 256GB RAM and storage configuration for a price of $1,099 (approximately Rs. 91,800). Another variant with 512GB storage costs 1,219 (approximately Rs. 1,01,800).
The company says the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 will come in Navy, Pink, and Silver Shadow colors, while the Galaxy Z Flip 6 will be available in Blue, Mint, Silver Shadow, and Yellow. Customers who pre-order the devices from Samsung’s online store will get access to the Crafted Black and White custom Galaxy Z Fold 6 colors, while the Galaxy Z Flip 6 will also be sold in the online-exclusive Crafted Black, White, and Peach colors.
Pre-orders for both the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 are now open, and the company says the devices will be available from July 24.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Specifications
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 is a dual-SIM (Nano or Nano+eSIM) device running Android 14 with Samsung’s One UI 6.1. 1 skin on top. It features a custom Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Qualcomm’s Galaxy Mobile Platform, paired with 12GB of RAM.
The Galaxy Z Fold 6’s outer screen is a 6.3-inch HD+ (968×2,376 pixels) Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a pixel density of 410ppi. On the inside, it has a 7.6-inch QXGA+ (1,856×2,160 pixels) Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity Flex display with a pixel density of 374ppi. Both panels have an adaptive refresh rate that varies between 1Hz and 120Hz.
Samsung has equipped the Galaxy Z Fold 6 with a triple camera setup on the outside, including a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera with dual pixel autofocus, optical image stabilization (OIS) and an f/1.8 aperture, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture and a 123-degree field of view, and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera. There’s also a 10-megapixel selfie camera on the cover display with an f/2.2 aperture and a 4-megapixel camera under the inner display, with an f/2.8 aperture.
The handset comes with up to 1TB of storage on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the handset offers 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and NFC connectivity. The foldable phone features an accelerometer, barometer, gyroscope, e-compass, hall sensor, proximity sensor, and an ambient light sensor.
The Galaxy Z Fold 6 has a 4,400mAh battery that can be charged at 25W with Samsung’s wired charger, which is sold separately. It also supports Fast Wireless Charging 2.0 and Wireless PowerShare for charging accessories.
Samsung says the Galaxy Z Fold 6 has an IP48 rating for dust and water resistance. The smartphone also has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication. It measures 153.5 x 68.1 x 12.1mm when folded, 153.5 x 132.6 x 5.6mm when unfolded, and weighs 239g.

Like its bigger sibling, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 runs on the same versions of Android and One UI. It also offers dual-SIM connectivity and is powered by the same Snapdragon chipset, along with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage.
Under the cover display of the Galaxy Z Flip 6 is a 3.4-inch (720×748 pixels) Super AMOLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate and a pixel density of 306 ppi. On the inside, there’s a 6.7-inch Full-HD+ (1,080×2,640 pixels) Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity Flex display with a refresh rate that varies between 1Hz and 120Hz.

The handset has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and is IP48-rated for dust and water resistance. It measures 85.1 x 71.9 x 14.9mm when folded, 165.1 x 71.9 x 6.9mm when unfolded, and weighs 187g, according to the company.
