Samsung’s One UI 7 may offer an Apple-like AI notification overview feature
Samsung has previewed One UI 7 – the latest operating system (OS) for smartphones and other devices, based on Google’s Android 15 update last month. A tipster is now suggesting that it may offer new artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities, including a feature that can summarize notifications. This is said to work similarly to notification summaries in iOS 18, but it could include support for a wider range of languages compared to Apple’s feature.

As the name suggests, One UI 7’s rumored feature called AI Notification could use AI to automatically summarize notifications received from apps. At the moment it is claimed supporting multiple languages including English, Vietnamese, Chinese, Thai and Japanese. By comparison, Apple’s notification summaries in iOS 18 only support English, albeit in different languages.
The tipster suggests that older models won’t be able to take advantage of the AI Notification feature in One UI 7, suggesting that only Samsung smartphones that support the full-fledged Galaxy AI suite will get it.
Other expected AI features
Samsung too tipped to introduce AI writing tools in 2025, powered by Galaxy AI. Another recently suggested feature is the ability to manually disable thermal throttling on Samsung smartphones. The feature, part of the upcoming One UI 7, was discovered hidden in the developer options. It is speculated that it will improve gaming performance with higher frames per second (fps) and less lag.
While a release date for the Android 15-based update remains unknown, Samsung has confirmed that the One UI 7 beta will be available to all users and not just registered developers when it rolls out.
