‘Saudi crucial for stability in the Middle East’: Jaishankar holds talks with colleague | India News – Times of India
“We recognize that Saudi Arabia is a very important factor for stability in the region. The situation in West Asia is of great concern to us, especially the conflict in Gaza. India’s position in this regard has been principled and consistent. we condemn acts of terrorism and hostage taking, we are deeply pained by the continued deaths of innocent civilians,” Jaishankar said.
“Our partnership is based on progress and looks to the future. Today I am pleased to welcome you and your delegation to the second meeting of the Committee on Political Security, Social and Cultural Cooperation in the framework of our Strategic Partnership Council. We have a good pace of high-level engagement and coordination within the multilateral forum,” he added.
Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud emphasized the importance of coordination between the two nations, noting that they would “continue to align our positions on issues of shared interest, especially as they relate to international peace, security and economic development.”
