Festival goers at Vivid Sydney were outraged by the ‘ridiculous’ price charged for a simple sausage.

The event, known for its dazzling light shows, returned to Sydney on May 24. However, many attendees were stunned when a food vendor charged $8.50 for a sausage with onions in bread.

One frustrated visitor shared a photo of the supplier’s price list Redditcommenting: ‘I’ve seen everyone talking about the crowds and not being able to see the drone show this year, but can we please talk about the price of a sausage in bread.

“I don’t care what the reason is; $8.50 is disgusting.”

“Food stalls are almost never worth buying,” said a third.

“For that price you can buy your own sausage, bread and sauce and eat several sausage rolls,” adds a fourth.
