Former Prime Minister Scott Morrison is finally packing up his family’s belongings and leaving Australia’s official residence, Kirribilli House, nearly two weeks after losing the election.
On Friday morning, two bright orange Allied removal vans arrived to return the ex-Prime Minister’s belongings to their childhood home in Port Hacking in southern Sydney.
Morrison was named Squat Morrison after he stubbornly remained in Kirribilli House with his wife Jenny and daughters Abbey and Lily, despite winning the Labor election on May 21.

On Friday morning, two bright orange Allied removal vans finally arrived to return the ex-Prime Minister’s belongings to their childhood home in Port Hacking in southern Sydney.
New Prime Minister Anthony Albanese had to meet government officials at his own home in Marrickville while he waited for Morrison to move out of the house.
Yesterday, The Chaser satirical TV comedians posted a fake eviction notice on the gates of the dockside house in an attempt to kick Mr Morrison out.
And on Friday morning, moving trucks finally rolled into the driveway to load up the Morrison’s family belongings.
Packers were seen loading boxes of personal belongings, including the table tennis table where the former prime minister was pitted against Nine’s Karl Stefanovic.
Other boxes contained shelves of books on their way to Mr Morrison’s electoral office, while tasteful wicker garden furniture was also loaded aboard the trucks.
A delivery schedule in the window of one of the trucks revealed that much of the cargo would be dropped off at a storage facility in Caringbah.
His departure 13 days after the election means John Howard is still the ex-Prime Minister to stay in Kirribilli House longest after losing an election. He lasted 16 days after Kevin Rudd came to power in 2007.

The former Liberal leader – now replaced by Peter Dutton as head of the coalition – is said to have waited for the full renovation of the home in Sutherland Shire before leaving Kirribilli.
His impending return to Port Hacking was announced Thursday when the dumped prime minister was caught on camera dragging a filing cabinet into his old home while Jenny was carrying shopping bags of goods.
The couple said goodbye to a painter who began renovating the three-bedroom house on Wednesday, dragging boxes of supplies and stacking more in their garage.

Morrison’s press contact said the former prime minister was entitled to two weeks of transition time to pack up and leave Kirribilli House, despite no one but Howard ever needing half that time.
They added: “[Mr Morrison is] busy moving. There are two weeks that you have to move, that’s protocol. So there is no delay.’
