Secrets of Tess Daly’s ‘Barbie’ transformation and the £5 beauty purchase she swears by
TV’s Tess Daly is looking better than ever in this season of Strictly Come Dancing.
The 55-year-old host has undergone a Barbie-esque transformation, with fuller hair, flattering fits and an inexpensive anti-aging beauty purchase.
Tess returned to screens in late September when the show’s 22nd season aired.
Formerly a model, Tess looked more glamorous than ever with her shoulder-length blonde locks styled in wavy curls.

And her locks aren’t the only thing she’s been working on transforming with her new stylist Laurie Smithshe has created a look that flatters her toned physique.
Fashion and beauty editor Amber Graafland spoke exclusively to Fabulous about Tess’ transformation.
“When it comes to style, Tess Daly hasn’t put a foot wrong while hosting our favorite Saturday night dance show for the past 20 years,” she said.
“However, the mother of two has shown off some truly stunning looks in the latest series.”
INJECTION OF MEGA-WATT HOLLYWOOD GLAMOUR
Amber described Tess as someone who has always looked “very polished,” but added that she “seems to have undergone a dramatic transformation lately, which has not gone unnoticed by her fans.”
“Her new blonde locks look shinier and bouncier, the color is deeper and richer and even her teeth look whiter,” said Amber.
The beauty expert praised the work of Tess’ regular glam crew, which includes make-up artist Aimee Adams and hairdresser Alex Price.
She pointed out that the “only recent change” is the addition of British costume designer Laury Smith to the team.
“The creative consultant and fashion stylist, based in LA, is known for his work on American Idol and has a celebrity roster that includes Alesha Dixon and Nicole Scherzinger,” she explained.
According to Amber, Laury has “injected a new sense of megawatt Hollywood glamour, the kind most mere mortals can only dream of.”

“There’s an incredibly fine line when it comes to making celebrities look TV and red carpet ready, and Laury has a knack for not overdoing it,” she said.
“Although the results are always incredible, she knows exactly how far to go and doesn’t go too far.”

Tess has hosted every season of Strictly Come Dancing since it aired in 2004.
She co-hosted with Bruce Forsyth until he left the show in 2013. Since 2014 she has been accompanied by Claudia Winkleman.
Tess missed the first half of the second season due to the birth of her daughter. She was briefly replaced by season one winner Natasha Kaplinsky.
Amber explained why Tess’ glow is perfectly tailored to the 55-year-old.
“Interestingly, Tess’ new look was achieved by bringing back the makeup, making the hair bigger and wearing more high-end designers,” she explained.
‘Rebecca Vallance’s black dress that she wore during the NTAs is a good example of this.
“Tess has worn several dresses from the Australian designer, including a pink off-the-shoulder dress and a beautiful black embellished dress with puff sleeves.”
Laury Smith also spoke to Fabulous about the new looks she created with Tess.
“Tess has a great eye and it was always great to work together,” she said.
“In terms of style, this season we’re focusing on modern, chic looks with sleek silhouettes.
“From asymmetrical shapes to fresh tailoring, sculptural clothing takes center stage, matching Tess’ strong personality.”
She explained that Tess’s skin tone is also well suited to wearing bright colors.
“We mix brands and price points, from labels from Reiss and Mint Velvet to Lavish Alice, Rebecca Vallance and McQueen,” Laury explains.
“Dozens of viewers wanted to find the blue Nooke sequin jumpsuit that Tess wore last weekend, and the silver asymmetrical Lavish Alice dress from the launch show sold out within days.
“It was the most beautiful dress and only cost £138 so I wasn’t surprised. But we’re having a lot of fun and there are some great looks coming up.”

She pointed out how Laury’s styling helped show off Tess’ figure.
“She’s ditched the frills and focused more on flattering cuts that accentuate Tess’s incredible physique, in contemporary silhouettes and expensive fabrics and bold shades.”
Amber added: “Tess is in the best shape of her life at 55.”
“From the blue jumpsuit she wore over the weekend to her bubblegum pink shoulder, the Andamanese dress and the red McQueen custom all-in-one she wore for the first live show, we can’t wait to see what else she has more in store. shop.”
Tess has spoken out about her fitness journey, posting snippets alongside her personal trainer Sam Shaw.
The pair also collaborated on Tess’ wellness book 4 steps to a happier, healthier you.
She describes the passion project as an “inspirational guide to food and fitness,” which includes more than 40 healthy recipes.
In the book, the presenter emphasizes the importance of eating, breathing, moving and sleeping.
Tess previously spoke to Good Housekeeping about the steps she’s taking to look as fresh as she did when she first started presenting Strictly 20 years ago.
“I’m sleep-deprived most of the time, so I look for products that cheat sleep and make my skin look a little more dewy and radiant than it actually is,” she explained.
