Security forces kill one terrorist in Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir; meeting in progress
NEW DELHI: Security forces killed a terrorist on Tuesday after an encounter broke out in Dachigam forest in Jammu and Kashmir.

According to officials, the area where suspected terrorists are hiding has been cordoned off. All roads leading to the meeting place have been closed by the police.
“These firefights started during a CASO (Cordon and search operation) launched by the security forces following specific inputs about the presence of terrorists in the area,” an official said.
“The cordon around the area where terrorists are suspected to be hiding has been tightened. The operation resumed at first light on Tuesday morning,” he added.
Security forces have in recent times intensified their operations against the terrorists following several attacks by the terrorists.
