Sena says CM’s name should not be left out of Ladki Bahin plan amid credit war | India News – Times of India
The credit war in the Mahayuti about the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana The situation intensified on Friday when Shiv Sena minister Shambhuraj Desai said the plan should be called by its full official name as CM Eknath Shinde had mooted it.
While the NCP continues to predict that the finance department headed by Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has made special provision for the scheme, Desai said people were aware of the facts and had started calling the scheme by its official name. The Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana provides Rs 1,500 per month to eligible women between the ages of 21 and 65.
“It was a new scheme, so many times it was unintentionally called just Ladki Bahin Yojana. But now all parties in the Mahayuti are referring to this scheme as ‘Mukhya Mantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana’. When women are asked who conceived this scheme, they clearly say that Eknath Shinde conceived it,” Desai said.
