The moment Trump’s campaign rally was disrupted by gunfire

This was supposed to be the start of Donald Trump’s big week. After Joe Biden had been in the spotlight while dealing with the biggest crisis of his political life, the rally in Pennsylvania was meant to mark the unofficial start of the Republican convention, when he would officially become the party’s nominee.

That was turned upside down in a split second on Saturday. The crowd is startled as the sound of a gunshot echoes through the fairground. Trump puts his right hand to his head and more shots are heard.

Secret Service agents rush onto the stage to shield the former president with their bodies.

There is another hail of bullets, followed by shouts of “Shooter down!” Then Trump stands up, his face bloodied, and raises his fist in the air before being led away.

A Trump insider told DailyMail.com: “He’s doing fine.”
