Shopify, one of the Best website -buildershas just announced the summer ’25 edition, a collection of large, small and medium -sized upgrades on its platform. The company promises easier and more efficient activities, improved shopping experiences and more store adjustment as a result.
With the launch of Horizons, the new design foundation of Shopify, themes are central. This includes the addition of 10 new storage templates and an AI-driven block editor to make them for it. Alternatively you can use the new AI Store Theme Builder to make a theme from a simple description of your brand – although you can only generate up to 3 personalized themes for free.
The e -commerce platforms Assistant, sidekick, has seen an important update to offer improved reasoning options. According to Shopify, users can ask things like “Why did the sale fall last month?” And get thorough analyzes with data from stock levels, marketing campaigns and seasonal trends.
Sidekick now also supports 20 languages, can be speech -driven and can be used to generate images.
‘Multiplier of human ambition’
Other updates include the launch of AI retailers (connecting products with conversation platforms such as Perplexity), Shopify Checkout in Roblox (so that your customers can view physical products in the digital world of Roblox), and the Shopify Knowledge Base app, which automatically generates AI-readable FAQs.
Shopify has also introduced Storefront MCP, a function with which developers can build AI agents who can make product recommendations based on the intention of a shopper. They can answer questions, make carts and guide shoppers to the cash register.
“At Shopify we believe that AI is a great multiplier of human ambition, making something possible when entrepreneurs dream big,” the company said in his blog post. “That is why we weave powerful and intuitive AI tools in every part of our platform, so that building your company feels just as natural as chatting about your dreams about coffee.”
