Shopper Shares Helpful Way She Found a Dupe of Jac Jossa’s NTA Dress on SHEIN
A woman has been lauded for her “genius” tip after she revealed on Shein how she found a knockoff of Jacqueline Jossa’s National Television Awards dress.
Vic explained that she had seen the stylish and sexy red dress that EastEnders star Jacqueline wore to the celebrity event and wanted to see if the fast fashion website had any cheaper versions available.
So she used a clever trick to do the search for her and divided the process into a video on her TikTok page.
“I saw this picture of Jack Jossa in a beautiful dress from the NTAs,” Vic began.
“So I took a screenshot. You open up your Shein app and in the search bar there’s a little camera icon.
“If you click on that, you can select your screenshot. It will be scanned and then you will see the results that resemble the dress or clothing that you like!”
As she showed, the Shein app showed a bunch of long red dresses with slits after scanning Jac’s photo.
“I think it’s a really useful tool and everyone should be aware of it because I think it’s a really good tool,” Vic emphasized.
“The SHEIN tool helps you find similar items if you’re looking for something specific,” she captioned the video.
And the comments were immediately flooded with compliments to Vic for sharing the tip.
“OMG how did I not know this?! I just tried it!” one person wrote.
“That’s absolutely brilliant! All apps should do this,” said another.
“How useful to know! Thank you!” added a third.
“Thank you, this is definitely a game changer and a useful tip,” someone else praised.
“Oh my god, thank you!” said another.
“I do this all the time on Google. I didn’t know you could do this on SHEIN!” someone else asked in surprise.
“No way!!!! OMG… thanks girl!” shouted another.
As someone else admitted, “so many people don’t know this.”
How does Shein work and are there other brands on their website?
Shein is known for its cheap clothing. The brand sells its own products and also acts as a marketplace for third-party sellers.
They do not sell designer brands and have been accused of counterfeiting and copyright infringement in the past.
Brands such as Ralph Lauren and Oakley have previously sued the fashion giant for violating their intellectual property rights.
“I’ve been doing it for years, it’s so much easier,” they added.
Jacqueline’s NTA dress was actually designed by Suzanne Neville. Dresses by this designer typically cost thousands of euros.
For comparison, the dresses Vic picked out during her search at Shein fell in the £20 price range.
The most expensive copy was a ‘premium’ issue which sold for £53.
