SHOPPERS are rushing to their nearest Aldi, hoping to get their hands on a new product that will make their home smell wonderful.
So if you want to make sure your guests are impressed when they visit your property, but you are on a tight budget due to the cost of living crisis, don’t worry. You have come to the right place.
We all love Aldi, right? Not just for the cheap groceries and beauty buys, but also for the amazing finds in the aisle.
And the latest Specialbuys have left bargain hunters open-mouthed.
This came after the much-loved chain took to social media to show off their new £2.79 plug-in diffusers.
Alongside the post, the supermarket wrote: “Our Plug In diffusers are the perfect way to freshen up any room!
“Are you going to get lime, basil and mandarin or pomegranate?”
The chain confirmed that the new Hotel Collection diffusers, which release a fresh scent for up to 75 days, will cost just £2.79 each.
There are two popular scents available, both of which are imitations of Jo Malone’s iconic fragrances: Pomegranate Noir and Lime, Basil & Mandarin.
So if the thought of spending £74 on a Jo Malone diffuser gives you the shivers, then you need to run to your local Aldi.
All you need to do is plug these inexpensive products into the wall and your home will instantly smell wonderful, without having to spend a lot of money on an expensive Jo Malone diffuser or candle.
And even better, you don’t have to worry about blowing out your expensive candle because these diffusers can be plugged in and left on all the time.
The Instagram post, which was shared on the official @aldispecialbuysuk page, has clearly left many people completely baffled, as it has garnered over 2,300 likes in a short period of time.
Aldi fans were eager to get their hands on the cheap plug-in atomizers, and many responded en masse to the comments.

What is the best time to shop at Aldi?
IF you’re going to shop at Aldi, the best time to do so depends on what you want to buy.
For discounted items – when stores are open
Products with the red sticker are rare in Aldi’s 830 stores in the UK, but the supermarket says it doesn’t waste food, so there are a few out there if you’re quick.
A spokesperson for the supermarket said: “All items are discounted to 50 per cent of the recommended retail price before opening time and on the best-before date.”
This means that you have the best chance of finding discounted groceries if you visit the store as soon as it opens.
Opening hours vary by store, but most are open from 7am or 8am. You can find the opening hours of your nearest store by visiting the online store locator.
For Specialbuys – Thursdays and Sundays
Specialbuys are Aldi’s weekly collection of items that the company doesn’t normally sell. These items can range from pizza ovens to power tools.
New stock arrives in stores every Thursday and Sunday, so these are of course the best days to come for the best, unique offers.
For an even greater chance of scoring the best items, visit your local store during opening hours.
But you don’t have to go to the store to get a Specialbuy.
They are also sold online, usually at midnight on Thursdays and Sundays, and you can order them up to a week in advance.
As long as you spend a minimum of £25, items will be shipped for free.
Remember, once they’re gone, they’re gone. So if there’s something you really want, go see it as early as possible.
While a second chimed in: “I bought one today and it smells wonderful. Very strong. I’m happy with mine.”
However, not everyone was equally enthusiastic about the finds you could find in the shopping street.
Someone reacted angrily: “It’s annoying that you can’t get refills, that will be disposable plastic!”
Meanwhile, someone else posted: “Nonsense!!! Don’t waste your money!”
