Shoppers are rushing to The Range for a dupe of the Urban Outfitters smiley lamp for just £20
The Urban Outfitters lamp is iconic: people save for months to be able to buy one.
It’s no surprise then that consumers are flocking to The Range after the retailer launched an almost identical lamp for £110 less.

The store in Croydon took over TikTok to take a look at some of their new lighting offerings, as they wrote: “Check out our new lighting range available in store now!!!”
“Perfect for any new student room.”
The video showed the colorful shelves filled with the new lamps, making it easy for people to quickly recognize the epic knockoff.
The battery-operated light has a round, yellow smiling face with two black eyes and a broad grin on the front.
It costs just £19.99, while the Urban Outfitters version will set you back a whopping £129.99.
A feature that you only get with the Mr Maria X Smiley lamp is the dimming function. You can choose from six different brightness levels.
However, in the comments of the TikTok video, impressed buyers said they had to rush to their local supermarket to get their hands on one of the cheap lamps.
“I’m seeing this after years of trying to justify the original Urban Outfitters Smiley Lamp,” one person wrote.
“I need that big smiley OMG,” added another.
“When I say I ran to Croydon… there was only one left when I left!!!” commented a third.
“Oh boy, I’m going this weekend!” said someone else.
However, others demanded that the lamp be added to The Range’s website. One person wrote: “Why isn’t the smiley lamp on the website?
“I’m going to end my existence!”
“Me too!” wailed another.

While the yellow smiley lamp isn’t listed on The Range’s website, there are a few other fun options, including a neon smiley mirror for £14.99 and a smiley board for £11.99.
If you want something different, there are cute little pink and orange striped lamps for £11.99, a light up dice for £19.99 and a large lamp with a blue base and striped white and black shade for £24.99.
