Shoppers in Poundland are loving their Halloween range – and prices start from 50p
OCTOBER is officially here, which only means one thing: Halloween is just around the corner.
With prices skyrocketing, many cash-strapped parents are looking for handbag-friendly ways to celebrate the spooky occasion with their little ones — or maybe throw a party.
With snacks, decorations (and, of course, costumes) to consider, Halloween can quickly become a rather pricey holiday to look forward to.
Luckily, with the celebration just weeks away, major discount retailer Poundland has come to the rescue with a range of affordable bargains.
From spooky outfits the kids will love, to sweet treats and adorable kitchenware, the popular store has all the essentials you need.
And with prices starting under a pound, there’s a reason why the total thefts have already become a big hit on social media.
Fans of the retailer are enthusiastic about it Poundland Appreciation Society on Facebook to show off just a few of their top picks — and the options are virtually endless, with all the must-haves covered.
Foodies are spoiled for choice: there’s an abundance of sweet candies and even Halloween chocolates for all the little trick-or-treaters out hunting in the local neighborhood.
While some sweets are sold for as little as 50p, the majority of treats spotted in the aisle cost £1, or £2 for the most expensive pumpkin-shaped treats.
No trick-or-treating is complete without Halloween costumes – and Poundland hasn’t forgotten either.
Money-conscious shoppers can pick up face paint for just £2 for a pack of assorted zombie-appropriate colours, a pumpkin bag to hold all the goodies for £1.50, and a fiery red dragon mask for £1.
According to one customer, Stacey Ann Hutchins, Halloween superfans can also buy a creepy clown mask for £2, a black wig for £2.50 – and more.
If you’re throwing a party (for your friends or your kids) there are also plenty of supplies ranging from paper plates and trays with spooky designs for 80 cents.
Other decorations you can buy next time you visit the store include a hanging 3D paper chandelier for £1.25, black balloons covered in spider webs and spooky shapes that you can put up in your window for a pound.
Are you a fan of gonks, but want to give the little creatures a creepy twist? Then best race to Poundland as they offer Halloween themed mini gonks for £2 to £3 each.
Meanwhile, in the crockery section, customers can find cute ghost mugs to enjoy their brew for £4, as well as glass cups featuring a skull for £3.
The discount retailer has also sent shoppers into a frenzy with their extremely cute creepy night pajamas in orange.
Priced at £2 for the top and £3 for the bottoms, the nightwear essentials are too good to sleep in – and will keep your toddler nice and warm at bedtime.
Another shopper, Margaret Rouzet, shared photos of the bargains she spotted on the shelves, saying: ‘Now I’m not really into Halloween, but oh how cute are the Ghost/Witch jars and cups?
“I’m definitely going to buy some.”
