Shoppers queue for hours for Le Creuset sale with discounts from £69 to £20
Shoppers rushed to Le Creuset’s sale to get their hands on the luxury kitchen items that had their prices slashed.
Kitchen fans flocked to the company’s Andover warehouse sale, where deals of up to half price were offered on casseroles, cups, baking pans and tableware.
The sale, which customers said was ‘chaos’, saw people queuing for four hours while sharing updates on their TikTok page.
The chic kitchen brand had pre-announced the sale as its “largest in-person event,” which will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
Le Creuset told customers: “Visitors can purchase a selection of premium cookware, including limited edition colors, rare shapes and other unique styles at special prices.”
Shoppers rushed to share their bargains on TikTok as Le Creuset’s sample sale trended, while the hashtag #dutchovens has more than 320 million views on the social media platform.
The Dutch Oven is one of the brand’s best-known thick-walled cooking pots, which can cost up to €580 new.
Ellie, known as @ellieatsinlondonon TikTok shared her huge booty.
Speaking to the camera, she says: “So I just got back from the Le Creuset sample sale and honestly I have the best loot that I couldn’t even imagine, like the stuff I got for the prizes.
“So really, really happy.”
Her haul included a spatula for £4, reduced from £10.50, and a baking dish as part of their stoneware collection for £20, reduced from £60.
Ellie also got a pack of four cups for £20, reduced from £69, and a frying pan for £39, reduced from £115.
She also got their famous 24cm round baking dish in black onyx for £122, which was reduced from £300.
Ellie says: “So this is over 50 percent off, and I will use this all the time. Very, very exciting.
“The total was £347, but my calculations are that I actually received around £1,000 worth of items. It’s 100 percent worth it, and if you get the chance to go, definitely do it.”
The event was so popular that Hampshire Police were alerted as hundreds of shoppers rushed to snap up luxury items on the cheap.
Hampshire police told police this Telegraph: “We visited London Road and the A3093 in Andover on Saturday morning after reports of heavy traffic jams in the area.
“We received reports at 9.45am and were present to assist with traffic control.
“Traffic had subsided around 11.15am and we left the area shortly afterwards.”
