Bra fitting tips
Measure for the right size
Determine Band Size: Wrap a soft measuring tape around your rib cage, just below your bust. The measuring tape should be snug, but not too tight.
Round to the nearest whole number. If the number is even, add 4 inches; if it is odd, add 5 inches. This will give you your tire size.
Calculate Cup Size: Measure around the fullest part of your bust. Subtract your band size from this measurement. Each inch difference equals one cup size (e.g. 1 inch = A, 2 inches = B, 3 inches = C, etc.).
Fitting the bra
Band Fit: Make sure the band fits snugly and evenly around your body without riding up. The band provides the most support, so it should be firm.
Adjusting the Straps: Adjust the straps so they stay in place without digging into your shoulders. They should provide extra lift, but not carry the bulk of your breasts.
Cup Fit: Your breasts should fill the cups completely without overflowing or leaving gaps. The center panel (gore) between the cups should lie flat against your chest.
Underwire Position: The underwire should fully enclose your breasts without pinching or sitting on breast tissue. It should rest flat against your rib cage.
Addressing common fit issues
Band rides up: If the band rides up on your back, it may be too loose. Consider a smaller band size.
Straps slip: If your straps slip down often, you may need to tighten them. You may also need a style where the straps sit closer together.
Cup Overflow: If your breasts bulge over the top or sides, your cup size is probably too small. Try a larger cup size.
Cup Gaps: If there is a gap between your breasts and the cup, the cup size may be too large. Opt for a smaller cup size.
