Sir Rod Stewart canceled his Las Vegas Concert on Sunday ‘due to illness’ – only a few weeks before he will play Glastonbury‘s Pyramid Stage.
The Maggie May Hitmaker – who was recently put on vocal rest in the midst of his Mammoet a last time tour – was forced to move his residence in the Colosseum in Caesars Palace, with a new date for June 10.
He said in a statement of social media: ‘I am sorry to inform you that I am not feeling well and my show will be moved in the Colosseum in Caesars Palace tonight until June 10. Your tickets are valid for the new date. “
In just 25 days, the 80-year-old rock star plays the Sunday afternoon Legends lock at the world-famous music festival in Somerset, Southwest England.
Last month Rod was seen with a plate on his neck and inquired everyone with whom he came in contact that he could not speak after his concert at the Unipol forum of Milan.

Rod himself shared the news during an interview on the Peter Crouch podcast, after he was asked if he kept in touch with the Roll Stones or sir Elton John.
He answered: “Not really, but Woody and I do it a lot recently because we are going to do Glastonbury together. ‘
When asked why they lost contact, Rod said it was because Ronnie and Elton had stopped alcohol and said: ‘I think they stay away from me. ‘
Rod was tight lips when he was asked if faces drummer Kenney Jones will join the stage.
However, the music legend confirmed in November that he was reunited with his faces bandmates for a new album.

Rod and Ronnie are friends since 1969 when they were both members of Rock Group Faces.
Although the band broke up in 1975, the couple kept in touch, with Rod as the best man for Ronnie’s wedding for Sally in 2012.
The Faces – which was formed in 1969 – released their last album Ooh La La in 1973 and they were recorded in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2012.
The five -part band formed in 1969 and also included bass player Ronnie Lane, who died in 1997 after fought with multiple sclerosis, and keyboardist Ian Mclagan, who died last December after a stroke.
Famous for huge hits such as Stay With Me in 1971 and OOH LA LA in 1973, the long-haired rockers also received a reputation for their off-phase antics with alcohol, groupies and destroyed hotel rooms.
But with Ronnie, who left the band in 1975 to become a full -time member of the Rolling Stones, Rod eventually resolved the group officially at the end of that year.

Kenney added: ‘The years of the faces were some of the best of my life and I am so proud that I was part of the band.
The original members would reunite for their 2012 induction in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, but Rod was forced to pull out of the performance when he came down with the flu.
