Skin doctor reveals the anti-aging tip that really ‘turns back time’
A SKIN doctor has revealed an anti-aging tip that will truly ‘turn back time’ and the Boots buy is ‘Botox in a bottle’.
Dr. Raj Arora, who specializes in women’s health and skin, has explained the hack for those who want to slow down the aging process when it comes to wrinkles.
She shared a video about her TikTok page and since then it has become a favorite of more than 22,000 people.
Dr. Arora explained that beauty enthusiasts should use Argireline in their skin care.
The dermatologist has The Ordinary Argireline Solution in hand, which you can buy from Boots and costs £9.20.
Holding the bottle, she says, “This is actually a peptide that acts a bit like a neurotransmitter.
“Like Botox, it helps relax the muscles and is therefore excellent for specific areas of the face.
“For example, the upper forehead where you are prone to dynamic fine lines and wrinkles.
“This can really help reduce these and give anti-aging skin.
“Now let’s be honest.
“Nothing will work as quickly and effectively as a little bit of Botox on the forehead or on your fine lines and wrinkles and I’ll certainly be the first to admit that.
“However, if you are someone who doesn’t like injectables or someone who wants to boost the effects of their Botox, this is a great addition to your skincare routine.
“So essentially it’s going to help goal those fine lines and wrinkles.
“Many people have said how it has helped their 11-year-olds: the lines through the eyebrows and also the lines on the forehead.
“It works very well in a skin care routine that focuses on anti-aging.
“For example, using it with a Retinol and using it with a Vitamin C serum, or even using it with another peptide serum, can really boost Argeiline’s anti-aging properties.
“So if you’re looking for an anti-aging agent, I might try something like Argireline in your skincare routine to see what kind of results you get.”
Boots’ website explains that the product is “clinically proven to improve the appearance of the skin.”
It targets the “dynamic folds, especially around the eyes and forehead.”
You can do this by adding a few drops to the forehead and around the eyes before your heavier treatments as part of your daily routine.
The importance of sunscreen in your skin care routine
Dermatologist and skincare enthusiast Andrea Suarez – known as Dr Dray – revealed why you should wear sunscreen.
The one thing you can do that will make the biggest difference – and this is important for all ages – is protect your skin from the sun, Andrea emphasizes.
“The vast majority of external aging is due to ultraviolet exposure,” she continued, and not because you “don’t use a jazzy serum or put ninety different things on your face every day.”
“If you’re not doing it in your twenties, start doing it now.”
But she said using sunscreen alone doesn’t go far enough. Andrea urged that you also wear sun-protective clothing, such as wide-brimmed hats and long sleeves, and that you don’t stay out in the sun for too long.
If you do this throughout your life — and all year round, not just in the summer or on sunny days — “you will reduce the visible signs of photoaging,” Andrea said.
These are wrinkles, messy pigmentation and sagging skin.
