Socialite’s fashion model son, 18, dies in sudden tragedy in Bali as grim details emerge about what happened

The sudden death of the son of a socialite from Sydney’s eastern suburbs remains shrouded in mystery after he was discovered face down in a Balinese swimming pool.

Aston Viewer, an 18-year-old fashion model from Sydney was found dead in a swimming pool on August 22, prompting police to investigate when they were informed of his death.

His distraught mother, interior designer Amanda Lennon, told friends she only learned about her son’s death – and his funeral – through a text message from her former husband, Saxon Looker.

“Her ex cremated him before she arrived in Bali,” said a friend.

“She received a text from Saxon saying: ‘Aston cremated’.”

Close friends said Ms Lennon, also a former model, is distraught over the loss of her eldest child but broke cover last week to join Sydney’s elite for a glamor lunch.

“As you can imagine, she is beside herself with grief,” said a friend.

“There is still a deep mystery surrounding his death that she continues to struggle with.”

Saxon Looker runs a number of surfboard companies in Bali, where he has been based since 2005.

It is not suggested that he had any involvement in his son’s death.

Aston was a former student at St Josephs College in Hunters Hill on Sydney’s North Shore and was remembered at a memorial service in the school’s chapel on September 6.

Ms Lennon has posted a series of touching tributes on social media, recently opened up about her profound loss.

“My supermodel son is in heaven,” she wrote.

‘We love you forever. We love your sassy personality and great looks, but most of all we love your humor.

“Your mother will never forget you, my favorite person in the universe.”

She added: “Aston, you are gone too soon and you will mourn your death which was too soon.”

Ms Lennon is part of an exclusive clique in the eastern suburbs that includes Real Housewives of Sydney star Victoria Montano, Kate Champion – the wife of Laser Clinics Australia co-founder – and Linda Rogan who made headlines this year for her affair with WiseTech -billionaire Richard White.

She was spotted last Thursday at the A-List lunch, hosted by White’s newlywed wife Zena Nasser, at Mimi’s restaurant at Coogee Pavilion in the eastern suburbs.

Reality TV star Victoria Montano paid tribute to Aston, her godson, in a candid social media post after his funeral.

‘Today we celebrated the life of Aston Looker. People with vulnerable hearts are the bravest and most beautiful miracles. Aston was my friend besides his amazing mother,” her post began.

It was his vulnerability that drew you in. His sensitivity. His creative mind that was undoubtedly working a million miles an hour all day long. He wore his heart on his sleeve.”

She added, “When we had time for a deeper conversation, I always noticed that he could express himself differently than any other man I knew.

‘Asty – a life taken too soon. A wasted life of a wonderful young man. We will all miss you. I love you very much, Asty Mou – Vic.’

Bali police told Daily Mail Australia they had not been informed of Aston’s tragic death by his parents.

“We have not received any reports of it,” said police spokesman Jansen Avitus Panjaitan.

‘The victim’s family did not report the matter to the police.

“The incident was only discovered later by the Mengwi police. They immediately started an investigation.

‘Based on the results of the investigation conducted, detectives concluded that no criminal offense was involved in Aston’s death.’
