Sony Has revealed its very first wireless Vechtstick, Codenaam Project Defiant, and it will be released in 2026.
Project Defiant was announced during PlayStation’s June State of Play, is designed for different fighting games and can be used wirelessly or wired for the PlayStation 5 and pc.
“This slim new controller will give players more flexibility to play their favorite fighting games, or that is now wireless with the innovative PlayStation link technology that Ultra-Lage Latency offers, or via a wired connection on PS5 or PC,” said Edwin Foo, vice-president, product development, sie, in one PlayStation Blog after.
Project Defiant has a high -quality digital stick that is tailor -made by Sony, Toker, Guardally Beaver -Create Pates (Square, Circle and Achthoek) for the stick, buttons with mechanical switches and a touchpad as they found Dualsense Wireless controller.

The controller also has a sturdy, ergonomic design for long gaming sessions, has a storage compartment for Restrictor Gates for convenience and a PS Link USB adapter.
Just like the Dualsense Wireless Controller, Project Defiant also supports the possibility of waking up the PS5 of the user wirelessly by pressing and holding on the PS button on the top of the device.
As mentioned earlier, the input timing is refined thanks to Sony’s PS Link Wireless Technology, but there is also an option for players to connect to play using a wired USB-C connection.
Sony has also confirmed that the Vechtstick will be packed with a SlingerCarry case, including a lever gorge to keep the digital stick safe, so that players can take the hardware along the way.
Since Project Defiant is just a code name, we will probably learn the name of the Vechtstick that is closer to the launch.
