SSDI July 2024: This is when you will get your money
The final Social Security Disability Insurance payments for July will be mailed out soon. If you are expecting to receive a check this week or are unsure of which week to expect your payment, we’ll explain below. If you still haven’t received your June SSDI check, here’s what to do.
Each month has four scheduled Social Security payment dates. The day your payment arrives depends on when you began receiving SSDI, and your date of birth. If you don’t receive a payment by the end of the month, you may need to contact the Social Security Administration.
Below we have listed the dates your SSDI money could arrive. Please note: SSDI is paid on the same day as Social security payments.

Payment Schedule if You Received SSDI Since 1997 or Earlier
If you have been an SSDI recipient since May 1997 or earlier, you will receive your payment on the third day of each month.
There are exceptions. If the third day of the month falls on a weekend or holiday, you will receive your payment on the nearest business day. For example, March 3 fell on a weekend, so some SSDI recipients received their payments two days early, on March 1.
Everyone’s schedule depends on their birthday
Payments for those who have not received SSDI since 1997 or earlier follow the same schedule as Social Security. Here’s how it works:
- If your birthday falls between the 1st and 10th of the month, your payment will be sent on the second Wednesday of the month.
- If your birthday falls between the 11th and the 20th of the month, your payment will be sent on the third Wednesday of the month.
- If your birthday falls between the 21st and the 31st of the month, your payment will be sent on the fourth Wednesday of the month.
