Supplemental Security Income is a program administered by the Social Security Administration. It is intended for eligible recipients with limited income and resources, and for those with qualifying disabilities. Children who are blind or have a disability may also qualify for SSI.

SSI Payment Schedule
Below you can find out when you can expect your SSI payments for the rest of the year.
- Friday August 30 (before September)
- Tuesday, October 1
- Friday November 1st
- Friday November 29 (before December)
September 1, 2024 fell on a Sunday, so SSI recipients received their payments early this month, on August 30. This will also happen in November of this year.
If I receive other social security benefits, will I also receive them sooner?
No. Generally, each Social Security benefit has a simple schedule, with only a few instances where it may deviate from the typical schedule. For reference, the September Social Security payment schedule is below.
