Stacey Solomon Shows Off Epic Halloween Front Door With Skeletons And Fall Tree
Every year, Stacey Solomon amazes with her Halloween-themed front door, and this year is no different.
Although it’s already September, the 34-year-old Loose Women star has already posted her creation online. Luckily, the end result was inexpensive and could be replicated at home.
The incredible spectacle functions countless golden skeletons, red roses and an autumnal tree above the front door of Stacey’s £1.2million Pickle Cottage.
The TV star shared a video of her homemade decorations, writing: “The Halloween door.
“One of my favorite traditions. My favorite thing is seeing the kids come home from school and get so excited.”
Stacey shared how she is “literally so proud” of this year’s door, especially as she received some of the parts for free.
She explained: “Made from sticks I found on the side of the road, a cauldron I made from a bucket, skeletons I’ve collected over the years (except for Shazza on the door she’s new) and some pumpkins from our neighbour, Farmer Scott!
“And the best friend at the front door ever @emlouflowers who is just as crazy as me and my partner is in crime to help me bring what’s in my head to life.”
DIY Halloween door
Stacey showed her 6 million followers in her Instagram Stories how she had spray-painted the branches purple.
Her skeletons appear to have been spray painted gold and she also repurposed fake roses from Rose’s birthday earlier this year.
She added: “All the flowers, the skeleton hands and Phil, the skeleton that’s half in the ground, are stuck into holes in the mortar so they stay there.”
Stacey, married to TV presenter Joe Swash and mother of Zachary (16), Leighton (12), Rex (5), Rose (2) and one-year-old Belle, admitted she knew the door was closed long before Halloween.
She wrote: “I know it’s still really early this year, but I really had to get this done before our Halloween event here on Thursday.
“I don’t need an excuse to start early, I’m so glad it can last a little longer and that I have a real excuse!”
Stacey previously showed off an incredible Halloween door, featuring plastic skeletons of people and animals as a nod to Joe’s former EastEnders career, where he played the cheeky Mickey Miller.
Fabulous’ Commissioning Editor Martha Cliff Weighs in on Spooky Season
While some may be waiting for Mariah Carey to slowly thaw, I couldn’t care less that Christmas is less than 100 days away.
Have we all forgotten that there are only 50 more nights of sleep until the most beautiful holiday of the year?
I have long preferred Halloween to Christmas and spend most of the year mourning the loss of the spooky season.
Not that I don’t find ways to incorporate it into my year.
In April I marked the halfway point of the best day of the year with a ‘half-o-ween’ picnic in a cemetery (where else?). In July I had to satisfy my need again and organised a ‘Summerween’ barbecue complete with watermelon carving and Piña Ghoul-adas.
Christmas fanatics often hate it when I turn them down during the Christmas season, but for me, December is mainly a time of stress and overspending.
I don’t know about you, but for me it’s not a fun idea to rack my brain for better and bigger gift ideas and spend four times as much time and money at the grocery store.
There is no expectation to spend money on Halloween. Homemade costumes are often much more expensive than store-bought ones, and when it comes to decorations, what could be better than a carved pumpkin that only costs a few cents to make?
In January, the children return to school and brag about what Santa brought them this year, hoping to outdo each other. But on November 1st, it’s a different story.
Trick or treating is completely fair. Unless you bribe the neighbors, all the kids get the same, and for free, so you have no right to brag on the playground.
I especially love the chaos of curation when it comes to Halloween. There’s no obligation to strive for perfection, in fact, the rule is the crazier the better. It’s all the nostalgia of Christmas, but without the pressure.
So spare me the Christmas spirit, I’d rather choose a full-fledged spirit.
Stacey’s Halloween range
This comes as shoppers go wild and rush to their nearest Asda store to get their hands on Stacey’s new Halloween collection.
Bargain hunters are thrilled with Asda’s new Halloween homewares, starting from just £3.50.
Stacey, mother of five, presenter of Sort Your Life Out and queen of cosy, homely atmosphere, has teamed up with the beloved supermarket to create an exclusive range of homewares. The collection includes everything from bedding and cushions to cosy throws and decorative pieces.
A customer was left speechless when she saw Stacey Solomon’s new purchases at her local Asda store.
Inside Stacey Solomon’s Pickle Cottage
STACEY Solomon spent a whopping £1.2million on Pickle Cottage, with Joe Swash matching his own.
She had only scraped together the money for their Tudor-style home in Essex, which is set in six acres of grounds and has an outdoor pool.
The former X Factor star and Joe live there with Zachary, Leighton, Rex, Rose and Belle.
It is unknown why Stacey went it alone, as former EastEnders actor Joe is reportedly worth over £1million but has also gone bankrupt twice, in 2009 and 2013.
The wily Stacey has proven herself adept at successfully running a wide range of businesses including television, books, clothing and homewares.
Her main company Key Map Entertainments is worth almost £3 million, and she is also active in cosmetics.
The former X Factor contestant founded the company Belle & Rose Ltd, named after her two youngest daughters.
