Now that’s taking wetting your baby’s head a step further…
A bachelor party company is offering expectant fathers the chance to book an alternative version of a bachelor party, called a ‘dad do’, where the expectant father and his friends can go on holiday for ‘one last getaway’ before the baby is born.
Expectant fathers can book the pre-baby celebrations StagWeb.co.uk to get the ‘boys’ together for one big weekend before their child arrives.
According to the bachelor party, the terms “dadchelor party” and “baby deer” came to prominence in the United States around 2010.
Now StagWeb wants to fuel this trend in the UK.
Dads-to-be can now book a pre-baby party with StagWeb.co.uk to get the ‘lads’ together for one more big weekend before their child’s arrival. It surveyed hundreds of men aged 25-40 to find out how many would be interested in a dad do and while more than 50 per cent said no, 43 per cent said absolutely (stock photo)
According to StagWeb’s FAQs on ‘fatherhood’, the fatherhood party can be anything you want, but it should be held at least a few months before the due date, in case ‘the little one shows up early’.
Fatherhood is a way to honor this huge milestone and offers the dad and his buddies a chance to bond.

Fathers and their group of friends are encouraged to organize games, such as diaper relays and baby food tasting competitions, to give the ‘groom’ a taste of what the big day has to offer.
The stag party website also lists bubble football and go-karting, plus a wrestling school, brewery tours, beer bikes and spas.
Those willing to risk their partner’s wrath may even choose to be seen by ‘sexy French maids’ or ‘oil wrestling’ ladies.

The company StagWeb surveyed hundreds of men between the ages of 25 and 40 to find out how many of them would be interested in a fatherhood party.
While more than 50 percent said no, 43 percent said absolutely.
Jon Stainer, Creative Director at StagWeb, explained: ‘Fatherhood is a game changer. It’s a transformative journey and we felt it deserved its own unique celebration, just as a stag does when men get married.
‘The dad-do is a way to honor this huge milestone and gives dads and their friends a chance to bond, reflect, and look forward to the exciting ride of parenthood.
“The older you get, the harder it is to get all your friends together. That’s why we think Father’s Day is a great opportunity for men to come together and celebrate.”
