Steelers vs. Raiders Livestream: Watch NFL Week 6 online today
The Steelers enter Week 6 having lost two close games. In week 4 they fell to the Colts; on Sunday Night Football in Week 5, a late Cowboys touchdown was the difference. Pittsburgh will look to snap their three-game skid on Sunday when they head to Las Vegas to take on the Raiders.
The Raiders will enter this game similarly on the back of a loss after being eliminated by the Broncos in Week 5. Aidan O’Connell will now be the starting quarterbackreplacing Gardner Minshew under centre.
The kick-off is scheduled in Vegas 1:05 PM PT (4:05 PM ET) on CBS. This way you can watch even if the game isn’t available on your local CBS channel.
The game will be shown on TV in the Pittsburgh and Las Vegas areas (according to 506 Sports) and beyond live tv streaming services, but there may be cases where you are blocked due to an internet location issue. There’s an option that doesn’t require you to subscribe to something like NFL Sunday Ticket or NFL Plus or search the Internet for some sketchy website: you can use a virtual private network.

How to watch the Steelers vs. Raiders game online from anywhere using a VPN
If you find that you can’t watch the game locally due to improperly applied blackout restrictionsyou may need another way to watch the game and that’s where using a VPN can come in handy. A VPN is also the best way to prevent your ISP from slowing down your speed on game day by encrypting your traffic. Plus, it’s a great idea if you’re traveling and find yourself connected to a Wi-Fi network, and want to add an extra layer of privacy for your devices and logins.
With a VPN you can virtually change your location on your phone, tablet or laptop to access the game. So if your ISP or mobile carrier has given you an IP address that incorrectly reflects your location in a blackout zone, a VPN can correct that problem by giving you an IP address in your correct, non-blackout area. Most VPNs, like ours Editors’ Choice, ExpressVPNmake it very easy to do this.
Using a VPN to watch or stream sports is legal in every country where VPNs are legal, including the US and Canada, as long as you have a legitimate subscription to the service you’re streaming. You’ll want to make sure your VPN is set up correctly to prevent leaks: even if VPNs are legal, the streaming service can terminate the account of anyone it deems to be circumventing properly applied blackout restrictions.

How to watch the Steelers vs. Raiders game in the US
This week’s Steelers-Raiders game is on CBS, so in addition to a VPN, you’ll need a live TV streaming service which has a local CBS affiliate broadcasting the game. The good news for football fans is that CBS is available on most major streaming services. The least expensive option is Paramount Plus.
Those looking for CBS’ Sunday games can stream them on Paramount Plus with the $8 per month Essentials tier. You can check for yourself if your region has live CBS streaming here.
Read our Paramount Plus review.
Numerous other live TV streaming services also offer local CBS stations, namely YouTube TV, Hulu Plus Live TV, DirecTV Stream, and Fubo. They all cost a lot more than Paramount Plus, but they also offer many live channels, including football channels like Fox and ESPN. Check out our guide to live TV streaming services for more information.
If you live in an area where the game is broadcast, a wireless antenna connected to your TV provides another option for CBS. The best thing about antennas is that there are no streaming or monthly fees required, although you do need to make sure you have good reception.
Quick Tips for Streaming the Steelers vs. Game Raiders with a VPN
- With four variables at play (your ISP, browser, video streaming provider, and VPN), experience and success may vary.
- If you don’t see the location you want as the default option for ExpressVPN, try using the “search for city or country” option.
- If you’re having trouble downloading the game after turning on your VPN and setting it to the correct viewing area, you can try two things to quickly resolve this. First, log into your streaming service subscription account and make sure the address registered for the account is one in the correct display area. If not, you may need to change the physical address registered to your account. Second, some smart TVs (like Roku) don’t have VPN apps that you can install directly on the device itself. Instead, you’ll need to install the VPN on your router or the mobile hotspot you use (like your phone) so that every device on the Wi-Fi network now appears in the correct viewing location.
- All of the VPN providers we recommend have helpful instructions on their main site for quickly installing the VPN on your router. In some cases, with Smart TV services, after you install a cable network’s sports app, you may be asked to verify a numeric code or click a link sent to your registered email address for your Smart TV. This is where having a VPN on your router will also help as both devices appear to be in the right location.
- And don’t forget that browsers can often give away location despite using a VPN, so make sure you’re using a privacy-first browser to log into your services. We normally recommend Brave.
