‘Stop oppression, free Chinmoy Krishna Das’: RSS condemns persecution of Hindus in Bangladesh
The crisis in Bangladesh, characterized by violence and persecution of religious minorities, has raised serious concerns worldwide. Hindus and other minorities face attacks, killings and systemic oppression, often targeting women, driven by Islamic extremists. A disturbing case is the arrest of Chinmoy Krishna Das, a respected ISKCON sanyasi who peacefully advocates for minority rights, focusing on the suppression of dissent and the silencing of justice seekers.
Demanding an immediate stop to atrocities against Hindus and release of Das, Hosabale said, “Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) strongly condemns these acts. Instead of taking appropriate measures to stop these incidents, the current government of Bangladesh and other concerned agencies have remained a silent spectator. Out of helplessness, when Bengali Hindus resorted to raising their voices democratically for self-protection, to suppress their voices, a new phase of injustice and oppression has visibly emerged,” adding that the arrest was unfair, and a appealed to “the government of Bangladesh. to immediately put an end to the atrocities being committed against Hindus and to release Pujya Shri Chinmoy Krishna Das ji from jail.”
The RSS reminded the Indian government of its role as a neighbor and as a global community and called for diplomatic efforts and intervention by international institutions to ensure accountability and promote peace.
Hosabale said, “RSS also urges the Bharat government to continue all possible efforts to prevent the continued atrocities against Hindus and other religious minorities in Bangladesh and take necessary steps to mobilize international support in this regard acquire. At this critical juncture, Bharat, the world community and international institutions must stand with the victims of Bangladesh and express their solidarity. It is necessary to demand the respective governments to make possible efforts in this regard for global peace and brotherhood.”
