Stormzy arrives at Cambridge University when Grime Star receives an honorary doctorate – seven years after launching his own trade fair program

British rapper Stormzy Arrived at the University of Cambridge To get an honorary doctorate on Wednesday.

London -based Grime artist, real name Michael Owuo Junior, receives a doctorate in the law during a special congregation on Senate House.

Stormzy, with four number one singles in the British charts, Launched his own trade fair program at the prestigious university in 2018.

The financing originally covered two black British students every year for their tuition fees and maintenance costs before they expand to another ten.

Fifty -five students were supported by the Stormzy Scholarship and have born the ‘Stormzy Effect’ – an increase in applications to Cambridge of black students.

Stormzy’s doctorate in the law is recognition for his philanthropic work, including in education, music, sports and literature.

The rapper is one of Sir Simon Russell Beale, professor Angela Davis, Lady Arden from Heswall, lady Katherine Grainger, Sir Oliver Hart, professor Maria Leptin and Sir John Rutter received Awards.

The doctorate comes when Stormzy is preparing for a new National Theater Diversity Drive after he has registered for a ‘top secret’ project at the iconic location in London.

The Grime artist born in Croydon was scouted by the new national theater boss Indhu Rubasingham while modernizing and diversifying from his creative output.

As the first female and ethnic minority of the South Bank location, Rubasingham has announced plans to organize rap captures of the classical Greek tragedy, although Stormzy’s involvement still has to be clarified.

The subversive movement is part of a broader goal of building an international audience via the online streaming platform of the National Theater, National Theater at home.
