MAKE A SPLASH

The beauty fanatic wrote this in response to a user’s question about how best to protect her thinning hair from swimming pool chemicals.

“I have a very extra, but effective routine to protect my hair from swimming,” she said, writing under the name Substantial_Lion_752.

“I learned to swim a few months ago and went to the pool two to three times a week.

“I wet my hair with clean water, applied a thick conditioner, then shea butter, followed by two shower caps.

“After swimming, I rinsed my hair immediately and used a moisturizing shampoo and a hair mask. I left it in my hair on the ride home and rinsed it out when I got home.”

She revealed an extra step in her routine to keep her hair healthy.

“Once a week I used a clarifying shampoo made specifically for swimmers, and I also started using Olaplex at least once a week,” she said.
