Sydney Bandidos bike club president Peter Martin dies in horrific motorcycle crash after his Harley Davidson collides with a Mazda – while his mate fights for his life
A senior Bandidos motorcycle club president has died in a motorcycle crash, prompting an outpouring of tributes from family and friends.
Peter Martin and another motorcyclist were riding their Harley Davidson when the motorcycles collided with a Mazda sedan on the Great Western Highway at Prospect, in Sydney’s west, at around 12.30pm on Tuesday.
Mr Martin, who was also nicknamed George, could not be resuscitated and died at the scene.
According to friends, the other rider is fighting for his life in hospital.
Mr Martin was the president of the local Bandidos chapter in western Sydney, the Daily Telegraph reported.
His heartbroken sister paid tribute by sharing a photo of Mr Martin in Bandidos gear.
“Rest in paradise, my brother,” she wrote.
‘I know we’ve always disagreed, but that doesn’t change the fact that you’re my brother and I love you.

“He didn’t just wear a patch, he was a brother, a father, a song, a friend and uncle, his sister.”
Rhyan Allan also paid tribute by uploading a photo of the pair in Bandidos gear.
“In shock… can’t believe you’re going bro… what the f***,” he wrote.
“I wouldn’t be who I am today if I hadn’t met you, my brother… FTW.”
A comrade noted, “My condolences, brother. He loved you as if you were his son.”
Family friend Reg Beaver also paid tribute, nicknamed Mr Martin.
“Four years and seven months to the day, almost to the hour, within a mile of where we lost our son Jarrod… today my eldest son’s close friend lost his life in a tragic motorcycle accident,” Mr Beaver wrote.
‘George was a comrade to all who knew him… Rest in peace George.’
The most recent post on Mr Martin’s Instagram page was five days ago and featured photos of Sydney Harbour from his workplace.
“Not bad today,” he captioned the photos.
Mr Martin’s posts portray him as a devoted family man who doted on his two young daughters.

Mr Martin and another man were riding their motorcycle when they were involved in a crash with a Mazda sedan on the Great Western Highway, at Prospect, in Sydney’s west.
Mr. Martin also showed the meat platter he won on Father’s Day.
“Happy Father’s Day to me, winner, winner, I won dinner,” he captioned the post.

The driver of the sedan was also injured and taken to hospital.
Firefighters reportedly had to free the driver from the wreckage while a tent was erected to protect Mr Martin’s body from the public.
All westbound lanes and two eastbound lanes of the Great Western Highway were closed following the crash, which occurred near the Prospect Hotel.
