Dan Schneider has defended his relationship with a teenage Amanda Bynes and revealed he supported her decision to pursue parental emancipation aged 16.

The producer, 58, who has faced numerous allegations of inappropriate behavior  on the set of children’s TV shows, spoke out in the wake of documentary Quiet On Set: The Dark Side Of Kids TV – which made shock claims about the ‘toxic environment’ at the network.

Schneider, who was disturbingly filmed in a hot tub with a then-16-year-old Bynes in 2002, said he helped Bynes after she ran away from home and was ‘concerned for her safety’ when she decided to leave her parents.

Speaking with former iCarly actor Bobby ‘BooG!e’ Bowman on his own YouTube account, Schneider said of Bynes’ decision: ‘She wanted that for herself. We supported her.

‘Amanda was between the ages of 16 and 17 and she wanted to get emancipated from her parents, which was a fairly common thing with successful young actors — at least at the time.

Dan Schneider has broken his silence following the release of an explosive documentary which made shocking claims about the ‘toxic environment’ at Nickelodeon during his tenure

Schneider, who is 20 years Bynes' senior, defended his friend ship with the child star and said he had only been trying to help her ' regardless of what some people may think '

‘She wanted that for herself, so she turned to her team, which included her lawyer, her agent, her manager, her publicist, me — because she included me as part of her team, thought of me that way.

‘We supported her, she tried to get emancipated and it ended up not working out and she didn’t.’

Schneider claimed matters came to a head one night when Bynes called him following a row with her parents – which led him to call a person he trusted to take her to the police.

He said: ‘One night very late, well after midnight, 1 or 2 in the morning, phone rang, I answered, it was Amanda.

‘She was upset. She was in distress. She had had some conflict with her parents, I think her father, and she called me. I was immediately concerned about her safety.

‘I called someone that I knew was fairly nearby. That person was able to go and pick her up. I knew she was safe, I felt better. She ended up being taken to the police.’

Bynes did pursue legal emancipation from her parents Lynn and Rick – but later withdrew the petition.

The 19-minute video saw Schneider discuss Quiet On Set, released at the weekend, which he said had made him ‘face his past behaviors.’

Schneider admitted that had previously overstepped professional boundaries and conceded he owed ‘some people a pretty strong apology.’

Speaking with former iCarly actor Bobby 'BooG!e' Bowman on his own YouTube account, Schneider said of Bynes' decision: 'She wanted that for herself. We supported her. 'Amanda was between the ages of 16 and 17 and she wanted to get emancipated'

Schneider, who was previously described as ‘Nickelodeon’s golden boy,’ began by addressing the furor head on as he explained: ‘Watching over the past two nights was very difficult.

‘Me facing my past behaviors – some of which are embarrassing and that I regret. I definitely owe some people a pretty strong apology.’

Schneider, who began working at the network in 1993, is said to have ‘launched the careers of child actors who became major stars’ including Miranda Cosgrove, Jamie Lynn Spears and Ariana Grande.

But he was later flooded with allegations before being sued over accusations of gender discrimination, hostile work environment and harassment – many of which were divulged in the new documentary.

It wasted little time in dishing that the period of the 1990s and 2000s ‘marked one of the darkest chapters,’ writer Scaachi Koul said.

Christy Stratton and Jenny Kilgen were hired as co-writers for The Amanda Show and split a single salary – as the network got ‘two writers for the price of one.’

‘It was early on when we first started that Dan said he didn’t think women were funny,’ Christy said.

‘He had fostered this very casual, fun atmosphere but I felt that Dan could be very volatile and could turn any moment. I was scared.’

She said that staff were left feeling ‘paranoid and uncomfortable,’ concluding: ‘Working for Dan was like being in an abusive relationship.’

Jenny also dished on having a similar experience, sharing that he ‘didn’t really value women in the writers’ room.’

But that was not all because, dishing on the depths of the inappropriate behavior at the channel, she claimed: ‘Dan was showing pornography on his computer screen. He asked me several time to massage him in the writers’ room and in the studio…

‘You always felt like disagreeing with Dan or standing up for yourself could result in getting fired.

‘One of the worst, we were in the writers’ room and Christy was talking about high school which is relevant because we are writing for a young girl.

‘And Dan just said: “You know what would be funny? If you leaned over the table and acted like you were being sodomized and told that story about high school.”‘

Jenny said that Christy had initially said no but Dan kept insisting and ‘she couldn’t get out of it.’

‘So she just leaned over the table and did what he asked her to do. It was upsetting to watch because I knew Christy at this point and I didn’t feel at all comfortable complaining to him.’

Schneider left Nickelodeon in 2018

She concluded: ‘It was probably the wrongest thing I have ever seen happen to a woman in a professional environment ever.’

Christy herself declined to talk about the incident but remarked that she felt sorry for her former self as she was just a young woman at the time.

Ultimately, after quitting her role at the network, Jenny decided to sue Dan because she ‘didn’t want it to happen to other women in the future.’

‘I hired a lawyer and started blowing whistles. My lawyer filed complaints against the production company for gender discrimination, hostile work environment, harassment – and in response they did an internal investigation and they settled.

‘But it had a lasting impact on my career… To learn that it didn’t stop and that it was all for nothing.’

Former assistant Amy Berg also took to X, formerly Twitter, in recent days to slam Schneider as a ‘f***ing a**hole.’

She branded him as a ‘psychological tormenter’ and a ‘manipulator’ before claiming his treatment caused her to suffer panic attacks, anxiety, and develop a ‘heart arrhythmia.’

Addressing the widespread reports of inappropriate behavior in the writers’ room, Schneider said: ‘Let me just say no writer should ever feel uncomfortable in any writers’ room. Ever. Period. The End. No excuses.

‘Most TV writers comedy writers have been in writer rooms and they are aware that a lot of times there a re inappropriate jokes made and inappropriate topics come up.

‘But the fact that I participated in that e specially when I was leading the room embarrasses me. I shouldn’t have d one it.’

He continued: ‘I can tell you why it hurts really bad for me. I remember very clearly my first experiences in the entertainment business.

‘I was green, I was scared, I was excited – it meant the world to me that I was getting those opportunities and I went in and I got lucky because they were great.

‘My first couple of experiences were fantastic and t he fact that I didn’t pay that forward to every employee that walked through my door it hurts my heart because I should have. I wish I could go back and fix that.’

Schneider conceded: ‘In the writers’ room there’s no doubt that sometimes those jokes went beyond t he pale and I said things that went too far or made practical jokes that went too far.

‘That was wrong and that was because I was an inexperienced producer. I was immature – it wouldn’t happen today but I’m just really sorry it happened.’

Elsewhere, he also apologized for his frequent requests for massages from female members of staff while in the studio.

‘It was wrong. It was wrong that I ever put anyone in that position. It was wrong to do. I’d never do it today. I’m embarrassed that I did it then. I apologize to anybody that I ever put in that situation,’ Schneider said.

‘Additionally, I apologize to the people who were walking around because there were lots of people who witnessed it who also may have felt uncomfortable so I owe them an apology as well.’

BooG!E urged Schneider to directly address the people who did not have a good experience working for him as he dished: I hate that anybody worked for me and didn’t have a good time… I would let the pressure of doing 40 or even more episodes per year get to me – which a good boss should never, ever do…

‘I would snap at people sometimes, I would be snarky when I could have given them a nicer answer, I would not give people the time that they needed, I would be in too big a hurry to get on to the next thing I had to do.

‘Watching [Quiet On Set], there were so many times I wanted to pick up a phone and call some of those people and say “I’m so sorry and let’s talk about it and I wish you had a better time and I wish I could have shown you a better experience.”‘

The documentary had also explained that Nickelodeon had raised eyebrows under Schneider’s leadership with some of its shows that were ‘full of uncomfortable sketches.’

Among them were ‘disturbing’ scenes that ‘sexualized’ child stars – including Ariana Grande who featured in scenes sticking her hand down her throat, putting her toes in her mouth, and talking about being ‘soaking wet’ at the age of 16.

‘It was clear that there was a permissibility around these sexualized jokes with children,’ commentators in the documentary shared.

Responding to the criticism, Schneider said: ‘All these jokes that you’re speaking of… every one of those jokes was written for a kid audience because kids thought they were funny – and only funny.

‘Now we have some adults looking back at them 20 years later through their lens and they’re looking at them and they’re saying “oh you know I don’t think that’s appropriate for for a kid show.”

‘I have no problem with that if that’s how anyone feels then let’s cut those jokes out of the show.

I want my shows to be popular… so if there’s anything in a show that needs to be cut because it’s upsetting somebody let’s cut it.

‘The last thing I want to ever do is put any content in a show that’s going to upset my audience and make them want to turn off the TV. Why would I ever want to do that?  That makes no sense.’

Schneider also insisted that there were ‘many, many levels of scrutiny’ at every stage to get a joke approved and also denied that he had ever been banned from his own set – branding it as a ‘false rumor.’

In recent days, a resurfaced clip being circulated online shows Schneider in a hot tub with an underage Amanda Bynes during a Nickelodeon sketch.

The scene in question – which is understood to have been filmed in 2002, when Bynes was around the age of 16 – shows Schneider sitting next to a bikini-clad Bynes for the skit, which he wrote himself, with commentators branding it as ‘very uncomfortable.’

But Schneider, who is 20 years Bynes’ senior, defended his friendship with the child star and said he had only been trying to help her ‘regardless of what some people may think.’

It was also revealed in the Quiet On Set expose that three members of Nickelodeon staff were charged over child sex abuse to varying degrees – as Drake Bell spoke for the first time about being abused by dialogue coach Brian Peck who was described as ‘very much one of the cogs in the Dan Schneider machine.’

But, in his new interview, Schneider was quick to distance himself from the predators and stated that he had not been responsible for hiring Peck.

He added: ‘When Drake and I talked and he told me what had happened I was more devastated by that than anything that ever happened to me in my career thus far.

‘I told him “I’m here for you, what do you need” which Drake mentioned in the show.’

Schneider went one step further by slamming the famous faces who had continued to show their support to Peck even after the charges came to light – sitting on his side in court and writing letters of support during sentencing.

He fleetingly broke down in tears as he said that Drake’s mom, who he is still in contact with now, had gone to him for advice in writing her speech for the judge at the time.

‘That was probably the darkest part of my career,’ he said.

Schneider shared: ‘When Drake and I talked and he told me what h ad happened I was more devastated by t hat than anything that ever happened to m e in my career thus far’

Schneider began wrapping up by admitting that there are ‘definitely’ things that he would do differently.

‘One that I think would be really, really important is when you’re hiring young actors – minors – to work in television I would suggest that we have a licensed therapist there to oversee that process for the specific reason of making sure that those kids really wanted to do this job – that they really wanted to be on television.

‘Maybe they should even be informed about what that means – what’s it going to mean if you’re famous, what’s that going to mean on social media, what’s it going to mean within your family. Let them find out.

‘That way if a kid doesn’t want to be on a TV show they can opt out.’

He continued: ‘Additionally, the main thing that I would change is how I treat people. I definitely at times didn’t give people the best of me.

‘I didn’t show enough patience. I could be cocky and definitely overambitious and sometimes just straight up rude and obnoxious. I am so sorry that I ever was.’

He concluded: ‘When I watched the show I could see the hurt in some people’s eyes and it made me feel awful and regretful and sorry.

‘I wish I could go back – especially to those earlier years of my career and bring the growth and the experience that I have now and just do a better job and never, ever feel like it was okay to be an a**hole to anyone ever.

I wanted to make funny TV shows for kids and we definitely did that but if I could go back I would get it done in different ways. I would just be nicer as often as possible and listen more to the people on my team.

‘I would do everything that I could to make sure that everyone had a good experience.’

Schneider left Nickelodeon in 2018 and said at the time he was parting ways to pursue ‘other opportunities and projects.

Giovanni Pernice’s new BBC show aired on Monday night as the broadcaster continues to throw its support behind the embattled Strictly star.

Anton & Giovanni’s Adventures in Spain sees the Italian dancer team up with his Strictly co-star Anton Du Beke for a lighthearted jaunt around Spanish towns and cities.

At one point during the opening episode, which some viewers labelled ‘a cringe-fest’, Giovanni and Anton broke into song, belting out a duet of the Bette Midler classic Together, Wherever We Go.

Giovanni crooning to the lyrics ‘No fits, no fights, no feuds and no egos’ felt like a pointed inclusion in the edit as the Italian’s fiery feud with his Strictly dance partners threatens to overshadow his new prime time series.

Giovanni is at the centre of a Strictly dispute which has seen his 2023 dance partner Amanda Abbington accuse him of difficult behaviour during training.

On Saturday Giovanni was hit by a fresh crisis, after it was claimed that three of his former celebrity partners met to discuss their difficult experiences working with him.

Sources claim Amanda, Ranvir Singh and Laura Whitmore had an ’emotional summit’ where they ‘compared notes’ about their time working with the Italian dancer on the BBC show.

But just hours after the claims emerged, the BBC showed its support for their Strictly star by plugging his new travel series on social media.

Giovanni and Anton were also invited onto The One Show sofa on Monday night to promote the series in a clear sign of solidarity.

During Monday’s episode Giovanni touched on his work ethic as he told close friend Anton that he is ‘a workaholic.’

‘Obviously there is the fear that everything is going to finish at some point. That’s the truth.’

‘I support me, I support my family back in Sicily financially so I always have a fear that if I stop, everything and everyone else stops because of me.’

Amanda Abbington has reportedly lined up top lawyer Persephone Bridgman Baker to demand rehearsal footage as her fight against Strictly and Giovanni, 33, continues.

The Sherlock actress, 52, quit Strictly back in October due to ‘personal reasons’ amid claims of a feud between her and Giovanni.

Reports then emerged she demanded footage of their rehearsals after the experience in the competition left her with PTSD.

The Sun now claims that Amanda is working with experienced lawyer Persephone as she helps her prepare a legal letter to the BBC to aid her obtaining the rehearsal footage.

A source told the publication: ‘Amanda is lining up a well-known lawyer to help her gain access to the rehearsal tapes of her and Giovanni with the aim of reviewing them.’

On the website of her lawyer firm Carter-Ruck it says: ‘Persephone specialises in media and reputation management work, encompassing defamation, privacy and harassment, together with data protection and intellectual property litigation.’

The BBC and Amanda have been contacted by MailOnline for comment.

Ranvir complained about Giovanni to producers back in 2020, during their time on the show, while Laura said she ‘cried every day’ and felt ‘uncomfortable’ while dancing with him in 2016.

Sources claimed that while ‘tears were shed,’ the trio also discussed the prospect of ‘formally’ complaining to the BBC about Giovanni’s behaviour.

An insider told The Sun: ‘There is every possibility all three could take it further and formally complain to the BBC, but for now they’re comforting each other.’

During Monday's episode Giovanni touched on his work ethic as he told close friend Anton that he is 'a workaholic'

‘Only a handful of people will understand what it’s like to be trained by Giovanni and in the industry he is regarded as a ”perfectionist”.

They added: ‘There is some shock that the BBC appears to be doing nothing. Like Amanda, Ranvir also flagged an issue during training with Giovanni and said she was unhappy.’

However, a source close to Giovanni told the publication: ‘Gio finds some of these allegations deeply unfair and offensive. He believes he’s done nothing wrong, and simply wants to get the best out of his partners.’

A representative for the BBC declined to comment to The Sun. MailOnline has contacted representatives for the BBC, Giovanni Pernice, Laura Whitmore, Ranvir Singh and Amanda Abbington for comment.

The BBC said earlier this year that they would not be investigating Giovanni’s behaviour with Amanda, with a spokesperson saying: ‘There is a constant dialogue between the senior production team and contestants to ensure any concerns are addressed swiftly.’

In 2016, former Love Island host Laura Whitmore said she ‘cried every day’ and felt ‘uncomfortable’ while training with him.

She later wrote for HuffPost UK in 2018: ‘I’m still not ready to talk in depth about my experience on the show.

‘I was placed with a dance partner I was extremely uncomfortable with and in the end I felt broken, I cried every day. And I really was broken, both mentally and physically, by the end.’

It’s also thought that Giovanni clashed with his 2018 celebrity partner Faye Tozer, while his 2022 partner Richie Anderson has unfollowed him on Instagram.

'Obviously there is the fear that everything is going to finish at some point. That's the truth. I support me, I support my family back in Sicily financially so I always have a fear that if I stop, everything and everyone else stops because of me' he said

‘Obviously there is the fear that everything is going to finish at some point. That’s the truth. I support me, I support my family back in Sicily financially so I always have a fear that if I stop, everything and everyone else stops because of me’ he said

Giovanni, who is currently on tour with his stage show, hinted last month he’d return to Strictly later this year for the last time.

However a Strictly spokesman said they would make an announcement in ‘due course.’

Over the weekend Giovanni broke his silence on Amanda’s explosive exit from the BBC show.

Speaking on The Mirror’s Invite Only podcast alongside fellow dancer Anton Du Beke he said: ‘It’s a shame because, in my opinion, [Amanda] could have gone all the way.’

While judge Anton added: ‘I thought you and Amanda were marvellous. I thought you were terrific’ and compared the Sherlock actress’ talents to 2019 winner Kelvin Fletcher.

Following accusations of his ‘militant’ teaching style Giovanni admitted that was a ‘perfectionist’ but said it came from a ‘perspective of caring’ and that he believed all other professional dancers were the same.

Saying: ‘In every single part of the world, if you’re a professional dancer on one of these [Strictly] shows, you have to get these people looking the best they can on Saturday night’.

‘And if we have good scores at the end, I do look back and say, ‘I’ve done a great job’. But we all care about our partners and we want that for them every single week; to look great on a Saturday’.

He continued: ‘There’s no specific way that you are, or have to be with your celebrity. You make the most of their strengths so the only thing that’s constant is the fact that you have to do a show on Saturday night.’

Earlier this year MailOnline exclusively revealed that Amanda had dropped her complaint to the BBC and had not contacted the Corporation on the matter further.

Sources at the BBC said that the ‘matter is now closed’ and they have ‘moved on’ after she asked to review the recordings of their off-screen dancing after she left the series, citing ‘personal reasons.’

Amanda was also seeking legal advice over Giovanni’s alleged behaviour towards her, believing video footage could ‘back up’ her claims.

It is understood that the first BBC chiefs knew about her PTSD late last year when they received a request for the tapes.

One show insider told the Mail: ‘The whole thing was baffling but when Amanda contacted the BBC, she wanted some answers.

‘But she hasn’t followed it through and the matter is now closed. Amanda said she left for a medical reason at the time, but that was not PTSD.

‘Her complaint was of course looked at but they were adamant that Giovanni had done nothing wrong. The BBC were ready to fight her, Amanda’s reason for quitting Strictly was an entirely different one to her PTSD.

‘She told production of a totally different medical condition and they [were] hugely supportive of her and did all they could to help.’

Amanda left the show during week five in October. It has reportedly taken months for her to recover from her time on the programme and she has apparently needed therapy following the ‘behaviour she was exposed to.’

Speaking about her condition, Amanda told The Sun: ‘I was diagnosed with mild PTSD after Strictly for several reasons and I told a few people about that, in the utmost confidence, among other things that were happening in my life at the time both professionally and personally.’

A BBC spokesman declined to comment at the time.

Amanda was praised by the judges for her performances during her time on the show but it was claimed she was struggling behind the scenes.

An inside source told The Telegraph: ‘It could be that she didn’t know what she let herself in for.

‘He [Giovanni] was quite tough and she found that difficult. If she wasn’t very well, that wouldn’t have helped.

‘She was with a partner that had a certain training style that she couldn’t cope with. Whether that came to a head or whether there’s something else going on I don’t know.’

Giovanni’s parents said the dancer ‘was just doing his job’ following Amanda’s shock departure from Strictly.

Addressing the news at the time, Giovanni’s father Piero and mother Rosalda admitted that their son ‘trained for long hours but was just doing his job’.

Twinkle-toed star Giovanni was reportedly only given the news of Amanda’s exit a few hours before the official statement was released.

A source told the Daily Star: ‘Amanda didn’t tell Giovanni she had decided to quit the show. The first he heard was a call from a producer.

‘This has really annoyed him. He’s barely heard from her for 10 days. She hasn’t been replying to messages or telling him what’s happening.

‘He’s been complaining about it to friends. He’s frustrated. He is worried the drama will be damaging for his career and make him look bad.’

Amanda snubbed the show’s December final which saw the stars of the year’s series that had previously been eliminated came together to do a group dance and celebrate with the winner.

A source told The Mirror of why she wouldn’t be there: ‘They wanted to position her as still very much part of the Strictly family, but Amanda’s response to the invitation was she’d not be back.

‘It’s a shame, because her exit has been a sour note to the series this year.’

The Strictly insider added her snub has been ‘difficult’ and upsetting for Giovanni as he doesn’t want people to see it ‘as a reflection on him.’

They added whilst the pair sometimes ‘clashed’ Giovanni wishes her all the best.

The BBC has thrown their support behind Giovanni Pernice by plugging his new prime time show – as the Strictly dancer is hit by a fresh crisis.

The broadcaster promoted his latest Bromance series with Anton Du Beke just a day after three of his ex dance partners reportedly met to discuss their difficult experiences working with him.

It also comes as his former Strictly partner Amanda Abbington has reportedly lined up top lawyer Persephone Bridgman Baker to demand rehearsal footage as her fight against Strictly and Giovanni, 33, continues.

The Sherlock actress, 52, quit Strictly back in October due to ‘personal reasons’ amid claims of a feud between her and Giovanni.

Reports then emerged she demanded footage of their rehearsals after the experience in the competition left her with PTSD.

But showing support for Giovanni on Sunday the BBC advertised Anton & Giovanni’s Adventures in Spain on Instagram just hours after the fresh claims were revealed.

Sharing a video of the dancing duo talking about their upcoming programme, the caption read: ‘Dancing, singing, Anton and Giovanni know how to perform! But what happened in Benidorm… stays in Benidorm.

‘Head to @bbcpressoffice link in bio and hit Interviews to get all the behind the scenes stories – and find out which star joined them on their Adventures in Spain!

It comes as The Sun now claims that Amanda is working with experienced lawyer Persephone as she helps her prepare a legal letter to the BBC to aid her obtaining the rehearsal footage.

Giovanni, who is currently on tour with his stage show and is set to star with Anton Du Beke in a travel series on Monday, hinted last month he’d return to Strictly later this year for the last time.

However a Strictly spokesman said they would make an announcement in ‘due course.’

This comes just hours after Giovanni broke his silence on Amanda’s explosive exit from the BBC show.

After a week in which the Princess of Wales was mercilessly and monstrously attacked for her Mother’s Day Photoshop mishap – accused of deceit, dishonesty and deliberate deception – we are entering uncharted territory.

Because her critics certainly run the risk of pushing Kate to avoid public life altogether. And honestly, who can blame her if she chooses to go underground?

After being so viciously attacked, there is every possibility that a ‘shell-shocked’ Kate could choose to back out of her future royal duties once she recovers from her surgery. If people keep treating her so badly, why on earth would she want to appear on call for them?

Let us not forget that it is entirely within its power, except when it comes to certain formal obligations such as state affairs, to do just that. She is the mistress of her diary and her attendance at many events is entirely at her discretion.

Imagine where our already exhausted and painfully bleak monarchy would be left without its shining star. An ailing king, an elderly queen, William, Princess Anne and the Edinburghs.

We only have to remember how disappointingly boring Prince William looked on the red carpet at the Baftas last month without Kate glittering by his side. Without her constant presence, the light would go out of the royal family.

As we hadn’t seen her since Christmas Day at Sandringham (pictured), she also innocently tried to reassure us that she and her young children were doing just fine.

Why would she be accused like that if she was just doing what millions of mothers do: photoshopping their family snaps to keep everyone happy and releasing them for Mother's Day?

Why would she be accused like that if she was just doing what millions of mothers do: photoshopping their family snaps to keep everyone happy and releasing them for Mother’s Day?

And why would she be so hounded if she was just doing what millions of mothers have done: Photoshopping family snaps to keep everyone happy?

Insiders say she “just wanted to publish a nice photo of her family.” Who not?

As we hadn’t seen her since Christmas Day at Sandringham, she also tried to reassure us that she and her young children were doing just fine and that the ugly rumors on social media about her health were nonsense.

Kate was watching us and all she got was mud in her eye.

It doesn’t take a doctor to conclude that the past week would have caused her immeasurable pain, adding to her stress and, it is feared, prolonging her recovery.

She is one of the most famous and photographed women in the world, with all the pressure that entails. Surely we shouldn’t be saying, “Where the hell are you?” but she sent her wishes for a speedy recovery.

She sacrificed so much of her own privacy to become William’s wife, to carry the heavy burden of becoming the future queen and to raise an heir and spares, George, Charlotte and Louis – and to give them all a little to make it look like the normal, happy family life William never had – the least we can do is respect her privacy while she recovers.

Since her engagement to Prince William in 2010, Kate hasn’t put a foot wrong. For more than a decade, she has only improved the image of the royal family, with her decency, integrity and, yes, glamour.

And all with a natural grace, like Diana’s, and the ability to seem as at home with ordinary people as with kings and queens.

The work she has done in early learning, addiction and with homeless charities is not only tireless but also highly respected. She is also an advocate for mental health issues, which is ironic considering that those who attack her now pay so little attention to her own mental health.

Honestly, I don’t know how she does it. And more and more often I wonder why it bothers her.

After being so viciously attacked, there is every possibility that a 'shell-shocked' Kate could choose to back out of her future royal duties

After being so viciously attacked, there is every possibility that a ‘shell-shocked’ Kate could choose to back out of her future royal duties

She has already had to put up with the Sussexes’ departure to California, which has made life so much harder for her and William, with double the workload and double the worry of keeping the shaky old Firm afloat.

She has suffered in dignified silence through the terrible things her once-beloved brother-in-law Harry said about her in his book Spare, and Meghan’s sly comments in her 2021 Oprah interview.

And more recently, she was named by Meghan’s mouthpiece Omid Scobie in his book as one of the so-called ‘racist’ royals who questioned the skin color of her unborn son Archie.

She has never complained, never explained, because she respects the dictum of the Queen’s royal dignity. While we’ve heard some of how the Sussexes’ slings and arrows have enraged William, especially the attacks on his beloved wife, there have been no whispers from Kate. There is no ugly ‘Kate Camp’ leaking beastly stories. But how they must have hurt her.

Because no story about Kate and William goes by without a nasty story being leaked by friends of Harry and Meghan. An unnamed member of ‘the Sussex camp’ reportedly blasted the photoshopped photo, claiming: ‘This is not a mistake Meghan would ever make.’

A day later, the Sussexes issued an official statement through a spokesperson denying that a source close to the couple had made the comment.

Very good, but the damage had already been done. And let’s not forget that, when it comes to touching up photos, There are those air-brushed images of Harry and Meghan in glossy American magazines – one of which ridiculously gave Harry a full head of red hair. The couple’s 2021 Time Magazine cover was even ridiculed by one US expert for being ‘the most airbrushed photo I’ve ever seen’.

Does anyone seriously think that a recovering Kate has plotted to deceive the public into having William take a photo of the family in the backyard so that she can spend hours adding a skinny tree to it herself, misalign the window sill and adjust the cuff? on Charlotte’s vest?

It was a photo for Mother’s Day, for crying out loud, a day when we should all be celebrating mothers, instead of pouring bile on them because they may have made mistakes in their attempts to do the right thing.

Let’s all give Kate a break. Because if we don’t, she could very well take a break from us.

Amanda Holden paid an emotional tribute to her late son Theo in a moving Mother’s Day post on Sunday.

The presenter, 52, also posted several Instagram snaps with her two look-alike daughters, Lexi, 18, and Hollie, 12, calling motherhood ‘the greatest privilege’.

Throughout her series of photos, Amanda remembered her stillborn son with a black and white photo of his footprints and acknowledged the sadness of the day for many.

Theo was tragically stillborn in 2011 when he was seven months old, and Amanda has previously spoken about her experiences in an attempt to help other parents who may be struggling.

In 2011, Amanda was seven months pregnant with Theo when a routine scan revealed that his heart had stopped.

The TV star and her husband Chris Hughes, who married in 2008, then made the devastating decision to have a caesarean section following Theo’s death.

Amanda not only shared a photo of Leo’s footprints when he was a baby, but also praised her own mother Judith with a gushing wink.

She wrote: “Being a mom is the greatest privilege of my life. It’s great that I still have my mother.

“I know today can be difficult for so many. Behind every family there is always a story of love and loss…

“Today I’m going to make the most of it and hopefully get breakfast in bed.”

In September 2022, Amanda revealed she felt like a “game show contestant” when a doctor told her she was “going home empty-handed” after her stillbirth.

The presenter teamed up with baby loss charity Aching Arms and raised money for them as part of her 3 Peaks Challenge fundraising.

Speaking to Ross Sullivan – an Aching Arms user – on her Heart Breakfast show, Amanda spoke about her ‘terrible’ experience and shared her hope that the charity would help people ‘avoid’ the kind of language used by her was used.

‘We lost our baby Theo at 28 weeks, and they very sensitively moved me to another room so I could deliver him without having to hear the sweet babies screaming in a normal ward.

‘People often don’t think about that, they are such small things. I remember that afterwards, when we started talking, the lady also said: ‘I know you’re going home empty-handed,’ she said to me.

“So I felt like a contestant on a game show, so it’s all that language that I know this charity will help people avoid and teach them how best to deal with something so awful. It’s just terrible.’

Amanda also previously discussed the loss of Theo on her radio program during Nurses’ Day, saying: ‘Personally I would like to thank the nurses.

“I know I talk about this a lot. And I never know if I talk about it too much. But when we lost our son Theo to a stillbirth, the hospital where I was cared for was of course incredible.

‘Jacki Nash helped me through so much, Pippa Nightingale and Natalie Carter.’

She completed her look with a matching silver crown as she posed for photos at the Heart Radio studio.

Meanwhile, Ashley donned a lion jumpsuit and became the furry hero Aslan, teaming it with cute matching ears and heels.

Jamie went for a much more pared-back ensemble and emerged as the legendary Wardrobe by dressing in little more than a single plank of wood.

Jacqueline Jossa’s daughters Ella, seven, and Mia, four, were dressed in very different costumes, with Ella as the Dr. Seuss icon Thing 1 and Mia as Tinker Bell.

Spencer Matthews also shared a photo of his son Theodore and daughter Gigi dressed as Harry Potter and Paddington Bear for the book-themed celebration.

Kerry Katona’s daughter DJ, nine, was also inspired by another classic Dahl character, this time the famous bookworm Matilda.

AMANDA SERRANO fans were left devastated as the star was forced to pull out of a highly anticipated fight just minutes before the fight was due to start.

The boxer, who became the first fighter signed to Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions in 2021, was scheduled to face Nina Meinke on Saturday, March 2, in her hometown of Puerto Rico.

Why did Amanda Serrano NOT fight on the Jake Paul card?

According to USA today Serrano was ruled out of the Meinke fight due to an eye injury caused by a chemical used during a hair appointment.

The announcement that the fight had been canceled was made just minutes before it was set to take place at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico Jose Miguel Agrelot in San Juan.

Thank you a million times Puerto Rico, this is why I always brag and represent you.

Boxer and social media star Paul delivered the news to the crowd from the ring in the indoor arena.

He said the £1.1 million generated from the sale of the fight would be refunded to customers.

Paul was on the same card as Serrano and had recently defeated Ryan Bourland.

Serrano stood nearby as Paul addressed the crowd and was seen crying as she left the venue.

Nakisa Bidarian, Paul’s business partner, later revealed more details about why Serrano had to drop out.

During a press conference, he said: “What happened there was on Thursday night, Amanda Serrano was getting her hair done.

“On Friday, while she was running, a chemical came into her eye.

“That’s why she was wearing glasses at the weigh-in (Friday), we were trying to determine what happened.”

EXCLUSIVE: Amanda Serrano urges female boxing stars to ‘fight for what they believe in’ with major rule change

Bidarian added that Serrano had sought medical advice on Friday evening and that she and her team had spent all of Saturday trying to get her eye on “a place where she was comfortable fighting.”

The businessman, co-founder of he and Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions, said: “She came to the arena to fight and when the committee doctors examined her they said she was unfit to fight.

“The committee did not allow her to enter the ring and do what she wanted to do most, which was fight for her fans on this island.”

Serrano later took to social media to address her fans, promising those who paid for a ticket a refund.

On required and to my beautiful island Each person will receive a full refund.

“We are grateful to everyone who showed up. I’ve broken records for traffic and sales and that’s more than a simple woman can ask for.

“Thank you a million times Puerto Rico, this is why I always brag and represent you.”

Who is Amanda Serrano?

Serrano is a professional boxer, wrestler and mixed martial artist.

She was born on October 9, 1988 in Carolina, Puerto Rico.

Serrano was awarded the Female Boxer of the Year award in 2016 and 2018.

Her older sister Cindy is also a professional boxer and in 2016 the pair became the first sisters to simultaneously hold world titles from major sanctioning bodies.

Who is Jake Paul?

Paul is a professional boxer and online personality.

He was born on January 17, 1997 in Cleveland, Ohio.

Paul rose to fame on the now-defunct video-sharing site Vine and became a prolific vlogger on YouTube.

He is the brother of influencer and boxer Logan Paul.

Paul founded Most Valuable Productions in 2021 and the company hosted its first boxing event in May 2023.

The star has been in a relationship with the Dutch athlete Jutta Leerdam since March 2024.

Has Jake Paul fought Amanda Serrano before?

Paul and Serrano have not yet faced off in the ring, but Serrano has been signed to the star’s promotional company.

Serrano first met Paul in 2020 when she was already world champion in seven different divisions.

Since signing with Paul and Bidarian’s Most Valuable Promotions, she has become a millionaire and boxing household name.

In March 2024, Serrano told SunSport that her cousins are big fans of Paul.

She added that despite her past success, they were not impressed with her career until she was linked to the star.

Serrano said, “I heard his blogs in the room or his ‘Everyday Bro’ and I was like, ‘Who is Everyday Bro?’

“So I started watching the YouTube videos too and that’s how I met Jake and Logan.

“And when they told me he was going to fight, I tuned in. I thought that was cool, let’s see how this goes.”

When ex-Spice girl Geri Halliwell first met multi-millionaire Formula 1 boss Christian Horner almost a decade ago, she described him as ‘her prince, her knight in shining armor’.

With his £41 million fortune and an annual salary of £8 million, he catapulted the washed-up single mother of one pop star into a world of unimaginable riches.

Two sprawling estates, another lavish home in North London and flights around the world so she could always be by his side in the billionaire playground of the F1 circuit.

Her fairytale lifestyle as Mrs. Geri Horner was pure gold; it became the personification of the Spice Girls’ hit Viva Forever: ‘Forever I will wait, forever, like the sun.’

Well, the sun may be setting on their romance now.

Former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell first got together with multi-millionaire Formula 1 boss Christian Horner almost ten years ago

Because just 24 hours after Horner was acquitted this week of ‘coercive conduct’ at work, WhatsApp messages of a sexual nature, allegedly between him and an unknown colleague, were leaked anonymously to his F1 bosses.

Should Geri really be surprised? After all, let’s not forget that when she started her relationship with Christian, he had just dumped another poor woman, even though she had given birth to their child just six months earlier.

His parents were so disgusted by their son’s betrayal that they refused to attend his lavish wedding to Geri.

Meanwhile, Geri created a gilded image of their life – sharing their country homes with their children – in the glossy celebrity magazine Hello!. It turned out to be the happiest family.

These WhatsApp ‘sexts’ seem to tell a different story.

Geri should have been wise enough to realize that Christian would always be someone who would get tired of her and look for other attractions. If a man leaves his partner six months after the birth of their child, why would you think he would remain faithful to you? Maybe, in her arrogance, she thought this could never happen to her.

But a leopard never changes its spot. Now her husband appears to have cheated on Geri.

And the golden life he thought he had given her could be irreparably damaged.

Hairy biker Dave Myers’ last photo before his death from cancer was of him and his best friend Si King on the couch watching TV. Their crazy cooking and cycling adventures captured the hearts of millions of people for decades, but in the end we loved their friendship most of all. That led to Si’s perfect epitaph: “My best friend is on a journey that I can’t follow for a while.”

BBC needs to say sorry to us

The then 17-year-old’s family paid £35,000 from Huw Edwards for sexual photos and say they were ‘torn apart’ and the Beeb has apologised. We’re told Huw is too ill to respond to a BBC investigation and has been suspended on full wages of £435,000 since July. Auntie should also apologize to the license fee payers for still lining his pockets.

Oprah Winfrey admitted she was taking weight-loss drugs. Coincidentally, she is leaving the board of WeightWatchers, which promotes natural weight loss through calorie counting.

It’s not a good prospect that Oprah has cheated, although there is some justice that her £34 million stake in the company will have been hit by an 18 percent share price fall.

Westminster Wars

Angela Rayner is accused of not being transparent about whether she actually lived in a council house she sold, making a profit of £48,500. All very complicated, but providing false information about the electoral register is an offense. Keir Starmer said he had ‘absolute confidence in the answers her team had provided’. Hardly a resounding endorsement.

After losing his legal battle over taxpayer-funded police security, Prince Harry vows to appeal the decision. Baffling, considering Ken Wharfe, his mother’s former bodyguard, says he will always be protected here as he is still a prince of the realm.

But given his destruction of the royal family, Harry may need extra protection from those of us who can’t stand what he’s doing to King and Country.
