Fans flocked to X to react to the Beyonce news, with some taking her website cover photo as the album cover – something she has not yet confirmed.

Some loved the title, calling it a “#1 in billboard loading” and saying “oh she’s coming.”

Other fans were less than impressed with the simplicity of the saddle and sash – if it is indeed the cover art.

They said the album art “could have been more,” comparing it to promotional material for a Clint Eastwood Western film or for the Yellowstone series.

One wrote, “She doesn’t mean it,” and others said they thought “cowboy would have been better someday.”

Taylor Swift sent the crowd wild when she used an iconic Australian phrase during her second Eras show at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Saturday.

The global megastar, 34, kicked off her Australian tour on Friday and returned to the Melbourne stadium the next day for another epic show.

As well as impressing with her epic three-hour setlist, Taylor also left the 96,000-strong audience in hysterics during one moment of the concert.

The crowd erupted into loud shouts when she stopped her own Australian twist on her big hit We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.

The Grammy award-winning artist personalized her show for her Melbourne audience with the help of her backup dancer in the funny moment.

Taylor Swift sent the crowd wild when she used an iconic Australian phrase during her second Eras show at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Saturday

As she sang the song's normal lyrics into the microphone, she said, “This is exhausting, you know?” For example, we will never get together again.'

But Taylor then passed the microphone to a dancer, who pronounced the lyrics “no” as “naur” in a strikingly Australian twist, sending the crowd wild.

The crowd could be heard erupting into deafening screams as they were excited by the hilarious touch, as Taylor went straight into the song's chorus.

Taylor's support act Sabrina Carpenter also got into the Australian spirit when she too changed the lyrics of her song for the Melbourne audience.

The American singer, 24, started the performance at 6.30pm, ahead of Taylor's big debut, and performed some of her best-loved songs during her set.

The audience erupted into loud screams as she put her own Australian spin on her smash hit We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together with the help of her backup dancer.

And while performing her smash hit Nonsense, Sabrina surprised the audience by tweaking her lyrics to give them a special Australian twist.

In her best Aussie accent, she hilariously sang: 'I don't say “hello” I say “g'day mate” / I don't make a bevvy, I'm a lightweight / Melbourne, I just came, I saw, and I ate .'

On Saturday, Taylor once again attracted around 96,000 people to the MCG for her second show, after performing to the biggest crowd of her career on the opening night of her Australian tour.

Despite having already performed in major sports stadiums in the US, the opening night of her Australian tour broke records, as she has never performed in front of an audience of more than 74,000 people.

On Saturday, Taylor attracted another 96,000 people to the MCG for her second show, after performing to the biggest crowd of her career on the first night of her Australian tour.

Commenting on her performance at her biggest show yet, Taylor told the 96,000-strong crowd on Friday: 'This is the biggest show we've done on this tour, or any tour I've ever done!

“That's the version you're getting from me tonight, the version that's totally blown away by the fact that so many of you wanted to hang out with us in Melbourne on Saturday night!”

As well as the huge crowds in the venue, enthusiastic fans who were unable to get their hands on the sought-after tickets gathered outside the MCG – after organizers raised concerns about the 15,000 extra fans expected to attend her shows.

Ahead of its shows in Sydney, Venues NSW has warned ticketless fanatics to stay away from Accor Stadium to avoid crowd management issues, The Daily Telegraph reported.

A spokesperson said fans who missed out on tickets should not try to “soak up the atmosphere” outside as they likely won't hear any songs anyway.

Meanwhile, Transport NSW coordinator general Howard Collins said the city was “preparing for the inevitable”.

“What we found at other popular music venues where people can't get tickets, people just show up to soak up the atmosphere, and you can't stop them except to manage the crowds,” he said.

“We are not encouraging ticketless fans to attend, but part of our contingency plan takes into account additional people who may be traveling and do not have tickets.”

But despite warnings from the NSW government, businesses are said to be rolling out the welcome mat to all Taylor fans, regardless of whether they have tickets.

PLAYSTATION fans are coming out with one of the best games of the year later this month.

Better yet, they can get a taste of it three weeks early, and it's completely free.

Cloud and the gang will soon venture into the open world

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth was named the most anticipated game of 2024 at The Game Awards in December.

The demo is now available for anyone who owns a PlayStation 5 to download completely free.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth will be a PS5 exclusive and follows the story of 2020's Final Fantasy 7 Remake.

You can pick up the demo via the PlayStation Store via your console.

Navigate to the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth page on the PlayStation Store and choose to download the demo.

The demo covers a significant portion of the game, allowing players to follow Cloud's journey in his flashback through Nibelheim.

This includes working with Sepiroth, when Cloud first meets Tifa, and the events leading up to the disaster at Nibelheim.

If you complete this chapter, it will be ported over to the full game when it releases, so you don't have to go back to normal.

There will also be an update about it February 21st that will add a new section to play through.

However, because this area is smaller than in the full game, this data will not carry over when you play the full release.

It still gives people a better feel for the full release so they can make a more informed decision.

If you want to get your hands on more Final Fantasy games, see how you can grab Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade for free.

The online co-op game set in the Batman universe had to be taken offline less than an hour after release after some players experienced a game-breaking bug.

The official release date of Suicide Squad has been announced February 2, 2024when everyone who bought the game should be able to play.

However, players who purchase the more expensive Deluxe Edition can enter up to 72 hours early.

The game launches for early access on consoles at midnight local time on January 30, 2024.

New Zealand was one of the first countries to get Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, as NZ Time is 12 hours ahead of Britain.

Thanks to the so-called “New Zealand time zone trick”, many Xbox console players from other areas were also able to get into the game earlier.

When Suicide Squad started rolling out, a number of players quickly noticed a game-breaking bug that automatically completed the game's story when they logged in for the first time.

Less than an hour after launch, developers Rocksteady acknowledged the problem in an post on Twitter/Xand took the game offline for maintenance.

The developers expect the downtime to last several hours, without mentioning a specific time when the game will be available again.

Players are advised to follow posts on the game's official Twitter/X account for more updates.

If the situation is resolved quickly, UK and US players may not notice the issue by the time Suicide Squad launches in their respective time zones.

The issue is especially frustrating for Deluxe Edition owners of the game, as they spent extra money to play sooner.

The Digital Deluxe Edition of Suicide Squad costs an additional £30/$30 on top of the base game's £70/$70 price tag.

Players in New Zealand and Australia who purchased the Deluxe Edition should have already played, so they are already missing out on an important benefit they paid for.

As early access rolls out in more time zones, more players will be affected if the issue isn't resolved soon.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League launches for consoles on January 30 at midnight local time.

PC gamers via Steam can start playing at 6pm UK time / 10am PT on the same date.

Crown viewers have shared their heartbreak after watching the last ever episodes of the royal Netflix drama.

The final episodes of the show debuted on the streaming platform on December 14, weeks after the first half of series six was released last month.

As the infamous royal family drama came to an end, viewers quickly admitted on social media that they were “heartbroken.”

They shared their dismay that The Crown was finally coming to an end after six series and told how the final scenes were ‘so sad’.

On X – formerly known as Twitter – someone wrote: “I just finished season 6 of The Crown, part 2. Oh my God. Wow.’

A second said: ‘Okay this is really sad,’ while a third said: ‘The Crown final is so sad.’

A third tweeted: ‘The last episodes are out.. [broken heart emoji]’, and another wrote: ‘The Ritz episode. Heartbreaking. And absolutely beautiful.’

Another added: ‘This show was absolutely stunning and so well done. I will miss it so much. Thank you Peter Morgan.”

Viewers also praised the show for briefly bringing back former stars Claire Foy and Olivia Colman, who played Queen Elizabeth II in the earlier series.

The moving scene saw the two actresses appear on the shoulder of Imelda Staunton, the last actress to take on the role, in the drama’s closing moments.

However, the second half of series six received a very mixed response from reviewers, with the introduction of Kate (Meg Bellamy) and William (Ed McVey) in St. Andrews receiving a lukewarm reception.

Some were also critical of that the image of Carole Middleton‘s desperate attempts to make a match for her daughter.

However, critics also praised the scenes with Princess Margaret (Lesley Manville), seeing her role as a way to hark back to the more historical elements of the earlier seasons.

The independentKatie Rosseinsky gave the show only two stars and was among those who saw the ending as far removed from its successful beginning.

She wrote, “When it comes to The Crown and What If?, the biggest question is this: What if this juggernaut of a show hadn’t wasted its once-golden potential?

“As the final six episodes arrive on Netflix, bringing a half-century saga to a close, Morgan’s drama is haunted by the ghost of faded glory.”

The largely scathing review added that some of William and Harry’s lines appear to have been written by an ‘AI bot’, and while praising The Queen’s (Imelda Staunton) final scenes, she added that they were ‘not enough and arrived too late.

Anita Singh from The Telegraph agreed, arguing that a “once beautiful drama dispenses with a wretched whimper.”

The times seemed more positive, offering three stars, calling it a “mediocre ending to a royal epic,” adding that it was “pretty boring” and felt like it “ran out of power like a Duracell ad.”

The me And Radio times however, were much more complementary to the new season, giving it four stars each.

The i’s Francesca Steele called it a “near-perfect ending against all odds”: “If you missed what you used to think about The crown – that elegant, strangely nostalgic (even for things you don’t remember) exploration of changing national identity – good news. It’s back!

‘After 54 episodes and 143 awards since its premiere in 2017, and with six episodes to go after a sloppy first part of the last series, creator Peter Morgan has gone back to basics. It’s a pleasure.’

While James Hibbs of Radio Times sees Ed McVey as the main success of the last series.

Hibbs writes: ‘It may not be the series at its best, but this final batch of episodes manages to bring things back to basics.”

‘A Mediocre Ending’: Reviews of The Crown Series Six Part Two

The independent: **

“But when it comes to The Crown and What If?, the biggest question is this: What if this massive show hadn’t wasted its once-golden potential?

“As the final six episodes arrive on Netflix, bringing a half-century saga to a close, Morgan’s drama is haunted by the ghost of faded glory.”

The Telegraph: **

‘Farewell then to The Crown (Netflix), a show that started as a sublime period drama – interesting history, fantastic dresses, a luminous Claire Foy – and ends up as a Hallmark Channel movie in which the Queen has a nightmare about Tony and Cherie becomes Blair crowned in Westminster Abbey with the new anthem Things Can Only Get Better, and William and Kate’s dreamy first kiss is interrupted by a royal protection officer announcing the death of the Queen Mother.’

The times: ***

While moving at points, the second part of season six of the Netflix phenomenon is an occasionally silly coda to a bloated drama

“I suppose it was inevitable that The Crown would collapse in energy immediately after the seismic event of Princess Diana’s death, but I didn’t expect that watching it would make me feel like I was slogging through porridge.

‘The devastating aftermath for William and Harry, and their resentment towards their father, should be hugely dramatic. But strangely enough it’s been made quite boring.’

Evening standard: ****

‘If you liked the previous series of The Crown, chances are you’ll like this one too. And if this sounds like faint praise, this is the best I can do.

“This is intended to be the final season of The Crown, and I would urge Peter Morgan to stick to this point. Anything beyond that would feature royals who are a poor substitute for the great characters of the twentieth century. Leave it at this…please? You’ve made us happy enough.’

Radio times: ****

“It may not represent The Crown at the height of its power – that moment is long gone and it was always going to be that way as the timeline approached recent memory.

‘However, it still means a return to form by going back to basics, but at the same time always keeping an eye on the future.’

The me:****

If you missed what you used to think about The crown – that elegant, strangely nostalgic (even for things you don’t remember) exploration of changing national identity – good news. It’s back!

In each episode, we see Dex and Em, a year older, on this one specific date, as they grow and change, together and apart, experiencing joy and heartbreak.

The cast also includes Poldark’s Eleanor Tomlinson, who will play Dex’s wife Sylvie.

The cast is completed by Essie Davis (Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries), Tim McInnerny (Blackadder), Toby Stephens (Die Another Day) and Joely Richardson (Lady Chatterley).

The decades-long love story is based on David Nicholls’ 2009 novel, which has sold more than five million copies worldwide.

It is not the first time that the story of Emma and Dexter has appeared on the cinema. A film starring Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess was released in 2011, but received mixed reviews.

Jan Moir, writing for the Daily Mail at the time, described the film as “as fake as Anne Hathaway’s accent.”

While Nicholls wrote the screenplay for the 2011 film, Scottish screenwriter Nicole Taylor led the writing team for the Netflix adaptation.

Taylor won a BAFTA for Best Writer for her 2017 BBC series Three Girls, about the Rochdale grooming scandal.

Nicholls is on board as executive producer.

Lead star Ambika told this earlier RadioTimes.com that the series can spend “more time” on the decades-spanning book, with each episode dedicated to each year of the friends’ lives.

‘I really enjoyed the film, but I think a lot of people felt – and I agree – that an hour and a half film is usually not enough to dedicate to this epic novel that spans twenty years.’ explained.

“So hopefully in our series we can cover more ground and dig into the story with more detail.”

“I really like the way our writers are going about it, and hopefully people can just see more of the book in the series.”

Capitalism is the core of our society; companies and businesses produce consumer goods. This system breeds innovation. However, with a competitive free market, a company cannot create just one product in the same way and remain successful indefinitely. As time passes, products need to be innovated, upgraded and improved.

Sometimes audiences like a new version of an old favorite. Other times, not only do people not like it, but the product sells out to the point where stores can’t give it away. Often a company spends millions on advertising campaigns and marketing, whether it’s a new twist on an old favorite or an entirely new item. When a well-known company does this and still can’t move the product, it’s considered a “dud.” These are the ten biggest duds of all time.

10 Crystal Pepsi, 1992

In 1992, Pepsi tried, not for the first time, to introduce a new version of its classic cola. Crystal Pepsi was sold for two years in the US, Australia and Europe. The product failed due to branding issues, corporate sabotage by archrival Coca-Cola, and general consumer dissatisfaction with the product’s taste.

These factors culminated in one of the most famous product flops in history. The YUM! Corporation took over Pepsi Crystal’s operations and received many complaints that the product did not taste enough like Pepsi; they didn’t do anything about it. Despite an attempted reboot in 2016, the product never justified the millions spent on ad campaigns and is still considered an epic failure.[1]

9 Apple Newton, 1993

The Newton is a series of personal digital assistants (PDAs) developed by Apple Inc. It was technologically innovative, but had early problems with its handwriting recognition software, and combined with ridiculous prices, the product ultimately failed. Apple originally began developing the Newton in 1987. The device hit shelves in August 1993 and production ended in February 1998.

According to former Apple CEO John Sculley, the company invested approximately $100 million in developing the device, and the term “Personal Digital Assistant” was first coined in reference to the Newton. Although Apple benefited from the Newton, other companies developed their own cheaper PDAs, increasing sales. The product was discontinued after five years and is still considered a monumental flop.[2]

8 RJ Reynolds’ Smokeless Cigarettes, 1989

RJ Reynolds is the manufacturer of cigarette brands such as Newport and Camel. The company has been active in the tobacco field for over a hundred years. Under pressure from anti-smoking campaigns in the 1980s, Reynolds poured more than $300 million into a new product, “The Smokeless Cigarette.” The plan was as laughable as it sounds. This product allowed the tobacco to be heated but not ignited; the taste and smell produced were not the same as that of a lit cigarette.

The smokeless cigarette was only tested in a handful of cities in Arizona and Missouri. In addition to the flavor being sub-par, the cigarette was difficult to light and did not fulfill the task of creating a carcinogenic cigarette. After just five months, the product was removed from the shelves. According to a March 1, 1989 issue of the New York TimesReynolds gave up cigarettes because consumers had firmly rejected them.[3]

7 McDonald’s Arch Deluxe, 1996

McDonald’s has been expanding its menu for decades, and in 1996 the fast food giant introduced the Arch Deluxe. It targeted an advanced demographic and was just as successful as you might think. After spending more than $150 million on marketing campaigns, the burger was removed from the menu before the end of the decade. Despite hiring chef Andrew Selvaggio to create the sandwich, sophisticated suburbanites weren’t interested. It consisted of a quarter pound of beef on a sesame seed potato roll with split top, topped with a round piece of peppery bacon, leaf lettuce, tomato, American cheese, onions, ketchup and Dijonnaise sauce.

The Arch Deluxe was the biggest failure in McDonald’s marketing history. Problems with advertising agencies, a disinterested demographic, and a lack of franchisee support have made this product known as “A Great Burger and a Great Flop.” Prior to launch, the Arch was expected to generate $1 billion for McDonald’s; Needless to say, it wasn’t right. In 2018, the company attempted to reboot the product with the Arch Burger, a similar sandwich with a similar result, which compounded McDonald’s most epic failure.[4]

6 Cosmopolitan yoghurt, 1999

Cosmopolitan magazine has been around since the 1880s and is widely considered the standard in fashion and family magazines. For unknown reasons, the company produced a yogurt line in 1999. The late 1990s and early 2000s saw an oversaturated yogurt market, and the product was discontinued after just 18 months. The tasty snack was overpriced at over a dollar per unit. Combining sex and dairy was a gamble, and “Cosmo” readers were not impressed.

The brand extension Cosmopolitan in service is called piggyback marketing; it made for a disappointing product launch and was the only marketing the product saw. “Although there isn’t much information about the details of Cosmos failed venture, it is clear that the product suffered from a significant lack of connection with the Cosmos brand and its other products. Finally, brand extension (or piggyback marketing) was tried Cosmos was too big a step.” Cosmos had created an overpriced product in a saturated market and ignored a potential demographic, leading to the most epic failure.[5]

5 Google Glasses, 2012

Project Glass is a “Moonshot” technology developed under the Google (GOOG) X initiative. The product was mismarketed, giving the public a distorted view of what to expect from Glass. Initially it was going to be promoted as a futuristic prototype, but a hype arose around the launch, coupled with a high price tag. Glass subsequently failed to meet expectations.

Google has spent hundreds of millions of dollars rolling out this product between research, development and marketing. Unfortunately, they spent little to no money explaining it. The product was unintuitive and did not deliver what the consumer thought they were being promised. In just three years, Google discontinued the product; the marketing team had dropped the ball. There was no actual launch, explanation of the product or regular advertising, and it was difficult to buy. While this product had potential, it was an epic failure.[6]

4 Mobile ESPN, 2006

Introduced in January 2006, ESPN Mobile was a short-lived “mobile virtual network operator,” or MVNO. ESPN’s idea was to sell phones that exclusively offered ESPN content and video, renting network access from Verizon Wireless. But ESPN only had one phone at launch, an overpriced Sanyo device. No one bought the product, even after ESPN poured $150 million into it, including a reported $30 million for a Super Bowl ad. Despite the investment, the project achieved only six percent of the sales forecast.

The idea was scrapped in late 2006, less than a year after launch. Mobile ESPN may be the biggest failure in the company’s history, but it also paved the way for ESPN to dominate the industry. Although the service was considered too expensive and a failure, in retrospect the actual data, audiovisual backbone and software behind the service would be successfully re-adapted for the smartphone era several years later, regardless of any specific carrier.[7]

3 Gerber Singles, 1974

In 1974, Gerber Foods decided to innovate the baby food industry with food aimed at… adults. They produced small pots of burgundy beef, Mediterranean vegetables and blueberry delight. Since Gerber has been making baby food since 1927, it seemed like the 1970s was the perfect time to move into adult food. One small problem: no one wanted a spoonful of cream of beef.

While the logic makes sense, something about eating from a small glass jar proved unappealing to even the loneliest of people. Gerber’s marketing team believed the product would work based on the lower birth and marriage rates of the time. They saw 40 million singles, accounting for approximately $205 million in unsold profits. Although a valiant effort, Gerber Singles was an epic failure.[8]

2 Ford Edsel, 1957

Bill Gates cites the Edsel as his favorite case study. Even the name ‘Edsel’ is synonymous with ‘marketing failure’. Henry Ford was the original car manufacturer and Ford Motors created some of the most classic cars in history. In 1957 they introduced the Edsel, an expansion of the Lincoln-Mercury Division to three brands: the Mercury-Edsel-Lincoln Division. The model is named after Ford’s son, Edsel Ford.

Americans wanted smaller, more fuel-efficient cars. However, Ford Motors executives failed to define the model’s niche in the automotive market. The prices and market target of most Edsel models were too high for a product that consumers did not want. It was withdrawn from the market in 1960.[9]

1 Betamax, 1975

In the 1970s there was a huge rivalry between home video formats, VHS versus Betamax. Beta was released in 1975 and allowed consumers to record up to an hour of television footage, while the VHS equivalent released in 1977 allowed for two hours, and the war between the two began. This feud lasted for over a decade, and while both recording formats have their unique qualities, they are very similar, causing the format war to continue for years.

In the end, VHS won even though Betamax had a higher resolution. VHS was preferred by most consumers due to its affordability and recording time. Despite being somewhat popular for almost a decade, many people today have never heard of Betamax; it is the greatest epic failure of all time.[10]

The Dutchman only ultimately took victory on lap 37 of 50 when he passed Charles Leclerc’s Ferrari in a haze of increasing inevitability.

His win comes after the 26-year-old criticized the Las Vegas event ahead of the race, saying: ‘It’s 99 percent show and one percent sporting event.

‘I just stood there and looked like a clown. I think they (F1) are still making money whether I like it or not. So it’s not my fault. But I’m not going to fake it.

‘I give my opinion on positive and negative things. That’s just how I am. And you know, some people like the show a little more. I don’t like it at all.

“I grew up looking at the performance side of things. And that’s how I see it too. I like being in Vegas, but not so much for racing.”

Brad Pitt, Rod Stewart and Gordon Ramsay led the stars who headed en masse to the Las Vegas Grand Prix on Friday.

Celebrities have flocked to the opening event, as drivers race against the backdrop of several Vegas landmarks, including the Bellagio Fountains, Mandalay Bay, Caesars Palace and the new spherical MSG Sphere.

Hollywood star Brad, 59, led the finish line as he cut a casual figure in a gray jersey as he stood in the pit lane at the Heinekin Silver Grand Prix of Las Vegas ahead of Saturday night’s big race.

Brad is set to star in a Formula 1-based film, and filmed footage on location during the first half of the F1 season, including shots of him driving a Formula 2 car with an added Formula 1 aero package at the Silverstone Circuit in July.

He visited the Grand Prix amid his busy schedule shooting with director Joseph Kosinski for the untitled film, in which he plays a Formula 1 veteran who comes out of retirement to train an up-and-coming driver.

Brad was seen stopping to have a chat while watching Friday’s practice, which descended into chaos when a drain cover came loose on the track.

Elsewhere, singer Rod, 78, and celebrity chef Gordon, 57, were also seen in the Red Bull Racing garage.

Rod looked suave in a vibrant yellow velvet suit, which he teamed with a patterned waistcoat and white shirt.

Opting for a more casual figure, Gordon wore a white T-shirt and marl cardigan as he chatted to Rod, who posed playfully for the cameras.

Rod was also joined by his wife Penny Lancaster as they visited the Grand Prix ahead of the star’s performance in Las Vegas.

The rocker is currently performing his The Hits residency at Caesars Palace, with Formula 1 also taking place in Sin City on Sunday, November 19.

Meanwhile, Gordon – who recently welcomed his sixth child, a boy called Jesse James, with wife Tana, 49 – was joined by his daughter Holly, 23.

The Grand Prix was packed with entertainment as Kylie Minogue took to the stage as the main act during the opening ceremony on Thursday.

The casinos and clubs have packages for fans looking for something to do while they wait for the cars to hit the track each night, including Kylie’s show.

Other acts at the glitzy ceremony included Tiësto, John Legend, Journey, Keith Urban, Jared Leto, Steve Aoki, J Balvin and Andra Day.

The Las Vegas Grand Prix events are scheduled for November 16-18, with the race itself taking place on Saturday evening.

The last time the city hosted an F1 race was in 1982, when it was home to the Caesars Palace Grand Prix.

However, Friday descended into farce when practice was halted after just eight minutes when a drain cover came loose on the track, causing significant damage to Carlos Sainz’s Ferrari.

And angry fans – some of whom paid $200 to attend – were kicked out before the second session could start at 2.30am local time, two and a half hours later than scheduled.

But the drivers returned to the circuit on Saturday evening, with Ferrari favorite Charles Leclerc claiming pole ahead of his stricken teammate Sainz.

The Spanish driver even kept his promise to appear at a fan event in the city and seemed to be having a great time with fellow Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc.

Event chiefs will pray that Thursday’s on-track fiasco becomes a distant memory by the end of a weekend that saw 105,000 F1 fans – including some paying up to $185,000 (£150,000) – take to the Sin City circuit.

Sainz was assessed a 10-place grid penalty for repairs required to his car after driving over the drain cover. This drops his starting position to 12th, even though the accident was not his fault.

When he talked about it earlier on Friday, he looked much less happy than he did during his fan event appearance.

He said: ‘Unfortunately the team told me when the session ended that I was given a 10 place grid penalty for something that was not my fault and the team’s fault and obviously this has completely affected my mentality and my opinion of the weekend and what the weekend is like changed. go from now on.

‘You won’t see me so happy this weekend. What happened for me today is a very clear example of how this sport can be improved in so many ways.”
