The plush private jetliner used by Jeffrey Epstein to whisk his VIP associates around the globe will be torn apart and scrapped, DailyMail.com has exclusively learned.

The notorious Boeing 727 – nicknamed the ‘Lolita Express’ – hasn’t flown since 2016 and is racking up thousands of dollars in storage fees each year as it sits mothballed beside a Georgia runway.

Florida-based World Aviation Services paid an undisclosed sum for the decades-old tri-jet in March 2020 hoping to turn a profit or use the parts for a similar cargo aircraft in its fleet.

But after learning about the plane’s central role in Epstein’s sex trafficking empire, the company’s shocked boss has abandoned any hopes of finding a buyer and will instead strip it down for anything of value.

Jeffrey Epstein’s infamous ‘Lolita Express’ – a private Boeing 727 airliner that carried prominent passengers and allegedly underage girls – will be torn apart and scrapped

‘When I bought the plane I didn’t know who he was or what he did with it,’ the businessman told DailyMail.com in an exclusive interview.

‘My business is aviation – not this Epstein s**t. Of course, I wasn’t happy,’

As of December, there were just 35 Boeing 727s in service across the world, primarily serving as freighters, charter jets or military planes for countries including Colombia, Mexico and Burkina Faso.

A handful have been turned into novelty homes, glamping accommodation and even a hotel, with disused models selling at auction for as little as $2,000.

But in four years there hasn’t been a single offer for Epstein’s 54-year-old plane which once transported the likes of Bill Clinton, Britain’s Prince Andrew and actor Kevin Spacey, according to flight logs.

‘It will cost a lot of money to restore. There’s always crazy people out there but I just don’t see it,’ added the current owner, asking to remain anonymous for fear of reprisals.

‘It’s a rare plane. There are not too many of them flying around the world today. There is a lot of stuff in there that you can’t find on the market anymore – avionics, landing gear, windows, flaps.

‘I can recoup my money, I’m not that worried about it.’

Federal aviation records still list its owner as Delaware-based JEGE Inc., which is named in several lawsuits as a company linked to the 66-year-old financier, who hanged himself in August 2019 while awaiting trial.

DailyMail.com understands that the records are out of date, however, and that it’s changed hands several times since 2016.

Call sign N908JE took its final flight on July 11 of that year, taking off from Palm Beach International Airport at 11:39am and landing at Georgia’s Brunswick Golden Isles Airport 51 minutes later.

Since then, it’s been parked up near a maintenance hangar owned by Stambaugh Aviation, an independent jet maintenance firm which charges around $1,000 a month in storage fees.

It’s been unregistered since 2019, meaning it cannot be legally flown, a moot point since its three Pratt & Whitney engines were stripped and sold after it arrived in Georgia.

DailyMail.com first located the dormant jet in 2020, when we found the once-plush interior, including deep-pile carpets, throw blankets and fluffy pillows, infested with mold and mildew.

There were numerous creepy pointers to its notorious former occupant, including a garish red couch, mirrored walls, monogrammed tissues and a bottle of baby lotion stored in a wood-paneled bathroom.

Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre has filed various lawsuits against the pedophile and his jailed madam Ghislaine Maxwell, claiming she was recruited as a 15-year-old ‘sex slave’ and forced to ‘entertain’ a string of VIPs on board the jet.

She has settled cases with Prince Andrew and Alan Dershowitz, admitting last year that she might have ‘made a mistake’ when she accused the Harvard law professor.

But many more prominent Epstein pals have now been unmasked after previously sealed documents in the Maxwell lawsuit were made public Wednesday.

That suit was settled in 2017 but New York federal judge Loretta Preska ruled last month that the documents should finally be made public in January.

The process was thrown into chaos Wednesday when ‘Jane Doe 107’, a woman who claims she will be in danger in her ‘culturally conservative country if she’s unmasked, was granted 30 days to appeal the decision.

But Dershowitz, who negotiated a notoriously lenient 2008 plea deal when the warped financier was first accused of abusing girls in Florida, is among those calling for the names to be revealed.

‘I want everything out, every document, every piece of paper, half-truths or lies, and I wanted them out for personal reasons because I know that they would prove what I’ve said from day one, that I did nothing wrong, and the woman who accused me later admitted that she may have misidentified me, confused me with someone else,’ he told NewsNation.

‘There are some people who may be ashamed of the fact that they hung out with Epstein but remember a lot of people hung out with Epstein before he was convicted.’

Documents containing names of dozens of public figures linked to accused sex offender Jeffrey Epstein have been unsealed.

The first of what is expected to be several batches of documents was released in federal court in New York on Wednesday, January 3, after the federal judge Loretta A. Preskas Statement of December 18. The documents were initially filed in 2015 as part of a lawsuit against Ghislaine MaxwellEpstein’s ex-girlfriend, who was convicted in 2021 of participating in Epstein’s sex crimes.

Forty pieces of evidence were released in Wednesday’s filings. Although information about the case has been made public before, this is the first time the documents have been released through the legal system.

The documents include excerpts of depositions and motions from the case, including a deposition of Virginia Giuffrewho alleged that Epstein sexually abused her as a minor and that Maxwell assisted in the abuse.

While Hollywood may seem all glitz and glamor at first glance, the industry has seen its fair share of scandals over the years. The New York Times and the New Yorker first published investigative pieces in 2017 accusing disgruntled film producer Harvey Weinstein of decades of sexual assault and harassment. Shortly afterwards, Weinstein stood trial and did so […]

In her statement, Giuffre alleged that Maxwell directed her to have sexual contact with several public figures, including Prince AndreasGovernor of New Mexico Bill Richardson, a “nameless prince,” the “owner of a major hotel chain,” and more. (The documents do not indicate whether Giuffre had sexual contact with any of the accused parties.)

Giuffre settled her lawsuit against Maxwell in 2017. Four years later, she sued Prince Andrew for alleged sexual abuse. The lawsuit was settled in early 2022, with Andrew vehemently denying any wrongdoing. Andrew later stepped down from royal duties in 2019 after his association with Epstein made headlines.

“It has become clear to me in recent days that the circumstance regarding my past association with Jeffrey Epstein has become a major disruption to my family’s work and the valuable work being done in the many organizations and charities that I proudly support . “, the prince wrote in a statement at the time. “I have therefore asked Her Majesty if I may relinquish public duties in the near future, and she has given her permission.”

Wednesday’s documents also include a 2016 statement from Johanna Sjöberg, who allegedly recruited Maxwell to work for Epstein. In her statement, Sjoberg claimed that Prince Andrew put his hand on her breast in a “joking” manner while posing for a photo. Sjoberg also claimed that Epstein spoke to her about the former president Bill Clinton, saying: “He said Clinton likes them young, referring to girls.” When asked if Clinton was a friend of Epstein’s, Sjoberg claimed the pair had “intercourse” with each other.

Clinton’s spokesman Angel Ureña denied claims regarding Clinton’s involvement with Epstein in 2019. “President Clinton knows nothing about the terrible crimes to which Jeffrey Epstein pleaded guilty in Florida several years ago, or the crimes he has recently been accused of in New York,” she wrote via X (formerly Twitter) at the time.

Donald Trump, Michael Jackson And David Copperfield are among other public figures whose names have been revealed in the case. Once released, the total sum of documents is expected to reveal more than 200 of Epstein’s associates.

Authorities began investigating Jeffrey’s sexual abuse in 2005. Three years later he was convicted of recruiting an underage girl for prostitution and recruiting a prostitute. He served 13 months behind bars before being rearrested in July 2019 on federal charges of sex trafficking of minors. A month later he committed suicide at the age of 66.

New documents from Jeffrey Epstein have further revealed the pedophile’s relationship with Bill Clinton – and suggested that Ghislaine Maxwell may have had a relationship with Clinton’s aide.

Maxwell, who is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence for sex trafficking, was questioned under oath about her relationship with pedophile Jeffrey Epstein and his associates.

On Wednesday, a trove of 946 pages of court documents from that 2015 case – filed by Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre – were unsealed, detailing how Epstein emailed Maxwell to insist that Stephen Hawking not participate in an underage orgy on his Caribbean island in 2006.

Hawking, the celebrated wheelchair physicist who died in March 2018 at the age of 76, was among the guests at a barbecue during a conference on the island sponsored by Epstein.

Another document, which argues that Maxwell should be forced to appear for further testimony, reveals that Maxwell said under oath that she ‘couldn’t remember’ being in London with Virginia Giuffre and Prince Andrew – despite photos showing the three can be seen together.

The documents also show Maxwell confirming that Bill Clinton dined on Epstein’s private jet while he traveled the world, and denying that the former president ever visited Epstein’s Caribbean island, Little St James.

Bill Clinton is seen with Jeffrey Epstein at the White House in 1993, during an event for donors to the White House Historical Association. Epstein attended the event after donating $10,000 to the fund. Ghislaine Maxwell is pictured next to Epstein

Maxwell is asked in the April 2016 deposition about her travels with Epstein and Bill Clinton — whom Epstein is known to have visited at the White House several times.

“The claim that Clinton ate on Jeffrey’s Island is 100 percent false,” Maxwell said.

“I’m sure he ate on Jeffrey’s plane.”

She said she did not know how many times Clinton had flown on Epstein’s plane.

Maxwell was also asked about her relationship with Doug Band, a lawyer who helped rebuild Clinton’s post-presidency image after the Monica Lewinsky scandal.

Band worked in Clinton’s White House office and served as deputy assistant to the president before becoming his chief adviser from 2002 to 2011.

With Band’s help, Clinton forged a new role for his post-presidency with his Clinton Global Initiative, which donated millions to charities.

Yet Band was also with Clinton during some of his meetings with Epstein and was on the infamous 2002 trip to Africa on the pedophile’s private jet, which included Kevin Spacey and Chris Tucker as passengers.

Photos from the trip show Clinton receiving a massage from Chauntae Davies, an Epstein victim who worked as a flight attendant on the plane nicknamed the “Lolita Express.”

Clinton afterwards called Epstein a “highly successful financier and a committed philanthropist with a keen sense of global markets and a deep knowledge of 21st-century science.”

Asked if she knows Band, Maxwell replies, “Yes,” adding that she knew him through his work with Clinton.

When asked if she has ever had a relationship with Band, she replies: “We are talking about adult consensual relationships, it is off the record.”

When pressed on the relationship, Maxwell says the attorney should define the term “relationship.”

“What do you mean by romantic?” Maxwell asks. “I was friends with Doug, but you’re implying something more, so I want to be clear about what you’re actually asking me.”

The lawyer, Sigrid McCawley, responds: “You defined it. You said you were friends with him. If you were, that’s all I need to know.”

The long-awaited ‘list’ of 187 previously unknown Jeffrey Epstein associates was revealed today.

The files were made public by the Southern District of New York on January 3, after the appeal deadline had passed, around 6:30 pm on Wednesday evening.

DailyMail.com is now reviewing the documents. Investor Glenn Dubin is the first name to appear in a transcript of a recorded statement with Ghislaine Maxwell in which Maxwell was asked if Epstein accuser Johanna Sjoberg was ever asked to massage Dubin.

Maxwell replied, “I don’t believe it, I have no memory of it.”

Many had already been linked to Epstein and some are the names of previously identified victims.

Three people filed an appeal and one of them was granted: that of Jane Doe 107. Another appeal, filed by John Doe 110, is currently under review.

Doe 110 is said to have been widely associated with Epstein in the past, but filed a last-minute request to remain anonymous.

They are described in court documents as an “alleged Epstein affiliate.”

The names were all redacted in a 2015 lawsuit filed by Virginia Giuffre against Ghislaine Maxwell.

The case was settled in 2017, but the names remained secret until now.

Judge Loretta Preska finally agreed to unseat the documents last December, ruling that there was no longer a legal need to keep the names hidden.

Some have been calling for their release for months.

Among them is Alan Dershowitz, a former Epstein associate who says releasing the documents puts all the information in the public forum and “proves” he did nothing wrong.

Ghislaine Maxwell, who was sentenced to 20 years in prison in June 2022 for her role in the sex trade, has “no say” in the files, according to her lawyer Arthur Aidala.

However, Aidala said the papers may disappoint many who think they will reveal a conspiracy or previously unknown names.

Former President Bill Clinton had long been expected to be one of the names.

Former President Donald Trump would also be present.

Prince Andrew is said to be ‘utterly anguished’ as he braces for the scandal over his links to pedophile Jeffrey Epstein to flare up again in the new year.

The Mail on Sunday has learned that the Duke of York’s name will appear alongside those of dozens of Epstein’s powerful friends – some of whom have not previously been publicly identified – when a series of court documents are published.

The prospect of being under intense scrutiny again over his friendship with Epstein is said to have plunged Andrew into deep despair ahead of Christmas, which he is expected to spend at Sandringham with his brother King Charles and other Royals.

“Andrew’s name is in there,” the source said. ‘He is beside himself over this latest development and everyone around him is concerned for his mental well-being.

‘He is at his wits’ end, completely tormented. He’s going into his second Christmas without his mother and now the new year starts and his name is being dragged through the mud again.’

The documents are part of a US defamation case that Andrews’ accuser Virginia Roberts has brought against Ghislaine Maxwell

US Judge Loretta Preska ruled last week that documents relating to more than 170 people who were associates, friends or victims of multi-millionaire sex offender Epstein must be made public in early January.

The documents are part of a US defamation case brought by Andrew’s accuser Virginia Roberts in 2015 against Ghislaine Maxwell, the British socialite who provided Epstein with underage girls.

While the case was settled out of court two years later, The Miami Herald successfully fought to have the papers made public.

The first set of documents was released in 2019, less than 48 hours before Epstein hanged himself in a New York jail while being held on child sex trafficking charges.

The MoS has been told that other names that will be made public in the new documents include Wall Street bankers, business leaders and major politicians and academics.

Ms Roberts claimed she was forced to have sex with Andrew when she was 17 – allegations that Andrew has vehemently and consistently denied. A civil lawsuit she filed in the US was settled out of court, without Andrew admitting to her wrongdoing.

A source said: ‘Every time Andrew hopes to put his association with Epstein in the past, it flares up again.

“It doesn’t matter that he was never charged, let alone convicted, of any wrongdoing; his name keeps getting dragged through the mud.

‘This will hang over his head all Christmas. You have to wonder when it will ever end.”

Epstein was accused of sexually assaulting numerous teenage girls, some as young as 14, at his homes in New York and Florida and on his private Caribbean island.

Judge Preska gave those named in the documents 14 days to formally object to the release of their names.

Only a handful will remain secret – many of whom are minors or possible victims.

Roberts, 40, who now lives in Australia and goes by her married name Giuffre, celebrated the judge’s ruling on social media last week, saying: ‘There will be a lot of nervous people over Christmas and New Year, 170 to be precise. who’s on the naughty list?’

She called Preska “a seeker of truth” and “a maker of justice.”

Hamas-linked financiers made hundreds of millions of dollars in profits by shorting Israeli stocks before the Oct. 7 massacre, two analysts say.

An unidentified trader ‘shorted’ 4.43 million shares in Israel’s largest bank, Leumi, between September 15 and October 5 – meaning they gambled that the price of Leumi’s shares would fall.

Indeed, after the October 7 attack, Leumi’s share price plummeted as operations were paralyzed, netting a $900 million profit for the trader, who is believed to have ties to Hamas.

The trade and others were unearthed by Robert J. Jackson, Jr., of New York University School of Law, and Joshua Mitts of Columbia Law School.

On Monday they published a report on their findings titled: ‘Trade in terror?’

They have speculated that the money may have been funneled back into Hamas operations. Jackson and Mitts did not identify who was behind the transactions, but noted they were highly unusual.

“Our findings suggest that traders who were aware of the coming attacks took advantage of these tragic events, and consistent with previous literature, we show that this type of trading occurs amid gaps in U.S. and international enforcement of legal bans on informed trading.” , they write.

The Leumi bank, the largest in Israel, was shorted by a trader from September 15 to October 5, netting the trader $900 million.

Joshua Mitts (left), of Columbia Law School, and Robert J. Jackson, Jr, of New York University School of Law (right), published their analysis of the transactions on Monday

“We contribute to the growing literature on trade related to geopolitical events and offer suggestions for policymakers concerned about profitable trade based on information about the coming military conflict.”

And another trader on October 2 executed as many as 227,000 short trades against the EIS – the Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS), a security traded on the New York Stock Exchange.

The EIS gives investors exposure to Israeli exchange-traded funds.

The value of EIS fell 7.1 percent on October 11 – the first day the US market was open after the terrorist attack – and lost 17.5 percent of its value within the first month, meaning that one trader profited handsomely from the transactions of October 2.

Jackson and Mitts concluded, “It is extremely unlikely that the volume of short selling on October 2 was due to chance.”

The pair said the transactions raised suspicions that they could have been carried out by someone with prior knowledge of the Hamas attack.

“While we do not see an overall increase in shorting of Israeli companies on US exchanges, we do identify a sharp and unusual increase, just before the attacks, in trading of risky short-dated options on these companies that expire shortly after the attacks,” they wrote. .

Hamas, which has been banned as a terrorist organization by the United States since 1997, cannot transact on the open market.

Any Hamas figure who tries to do this risks having his assets frozen by the US Treasury Department.

But the group has benefited from innovative financing systems, such as cryptocurrency.

A report from the Wall Street Journal found that three terrorist groups – Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad and its Lebanese ally Hezbollah – collectively received more than $134 million in crypto between August 2021 and June 2023.

Hamas received about $41 million in digital currencies over the past nearly two years, the Journal reported.

Islamic Jihad received $93 million.

The holidays are a hectic time of year for everyone. But for those who work in retail and logistics, yes the busiest time. From selecting the Christmas carols to play in the store to identifying the most eye-catching places to display toys to getting those Amazon packages delivered to your door on time, there are thousands of people responsible for making shopping merry during the holidays. Here are a few of their stories.

When shoppers across the country walk into a Nordstrom this week, they will encounter twinkling lights, streamers hanging around the store and Mariah Carey singing that all she wants is for Christmas youuuuu.

But the planning needed to create an experience that puts shoppers in the holiday spirit begins a year in advance, when department store executives select the overall theme, which sets the tone for the décor, says Paige Boggs, vice president -president of retail environment. at Nordstrom.

This year’s theme at Nordstrom is “Home for the Holidays,” a nod to nostalgia and the traditions surrounding Christmas. Late last year, the store’s in-house design team and a group of engineers began creating decor around this theme, including holiday villages and candles in windows. Those larger items will be manufactured and shipped to Nordstrom’s 93 stores in August, Ms. Boggs said.

However, the actual setting up of the stores does not begin until the Monday evening before Thanksgiving. Over the coming days, teams in stores will be working feverishly to set up 3,500 trees and hang 3,900 streamers, 4,350 wreaths and 95,000 twinkling strings of lights – all in preparation for Black Friday. For many retailers like Nordstrom, the day after Thanksgiving is the start of the biggest sales weeks of the year.

And contrary to popular belief, Nordstrom doesn’t pump fragrance into its stores during the holidays. “Our goal is the absence of odor,” Ms. Boggs said. “Fragrance is a very polarizing thing,” she continued, adding that the store even uses unscented cleaning products.

The day after Thanksgiving is also the day Nordstrom will play holiday music in its stores. But to keep store employees from going crazy with an endless loop of “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” the department store has 30,000 songs in rotation. On Black Friday, the retailer will play holiday-themed music 50 percent of the time, before scaling back to 20 percent the next day and slowly building back up to 50 percent by mid-December. “My goal,” Mrs. Boggs said, “is that you don’t hear the same song twice in one day.”

During the holidays, toys at Target are moved outside the designated aisle to other areas of the store. The category is big business for the retailer, and while the season’s popular toys are largely already known (hello Barbie and LEGO), executives are constantly discussing how much space to give toys this time of year. There are ways to “cheat space,” says Tara Russell, vice president of visual merchandising and styling.

Toys are placed at the ends of the aisles and in the main hallway. A large red bin in the shape of a train holds small stuffed animals and other trinkets to draw shoppers in. FAO Schwarz toys are also displayed throughout the store.

“I’m sure our toy team would like even more space,” Mrs. Russell said with a smile. “But they maximize what they have, and then we make sure that we help find a way to give them more and more space.”

Sometimes the team unpacks large items, such as a play truck, to give parents an idea of how big it is. Children also immediately get the chance to play with the items. But shoppers have told Target they don’t like having too many toys out of the box. “Our guest doesn’t like distractions as much as he used to,” she said.

Instead, Target executives want customers to feel like they can easily walk through the store while checking off their wish lists. Signage plays a role in this.

“We know what the top 10 toys are, so we make sure you know where they are,” Ms Russell said. “We want you to be able to find the things that are probably on your list more easily, and the top 10 toys are much more likely to be on your list than, say, the 100th toy.”

The week after Black Friday, Kraig Kuban, an Amazon driver, usually has a good idea of what shoppers in and around St. Petersburg, Florida, bought for Christmas gifts. He is one of several hundred drivers at the e-commerce giant trained to deliver the heavy items, sometimes weighing as much as 300 pounds, to customers’ homes. It is his fifth holiday period in which he does this work.

Throughout the year, he delivers a steady stream of bed-in-the-boxes, Peloton exercise machines and equipment. He’ll still be delivering these in the run-up to Christmas, but he’ll also be loading more Power Wheels cars and kitchen playsets into his truck. Then there are the artificial Christmas trees.

Before Halloween, he packed the first Christmas tree into his truck. Now there are at least one or two trees on his truck every day. “We’ve delivered so many, and it’s just a little more monotonous,” said Mr. Kuban, 50. “Put it in the truck, let’s go deliver it.” (He’s thankful he hasn’t had to deliver a real, spiky tree yet.)

On average, Mr. Kuban and his partner deliver 15 to 30 packages a day, sometimes setting up the treadmill or air hockey table they deliver. This time of year, parents will meet him outside his truck and ask him to be discreet because the package is a gift for their child – so he will drag the item to the garage to help them put it away.

And despite jokingly calling himself a “Scrooge” when it comes to his own Christmas shopping, his job and his truck make it impossible to escape Christmas. “The antenna on our trucks broke, so as soon as we get a little bit out of the area the only station that comes on is the one that plays Christmas music,” Mr Kuban said. “So we listen to it.”

The racks of cozy knit sweaters and shiny sequined dresses now on display at local Macy’s arrived at the company’s distribution centers toward the end of the summer. Making sure those sweaters and all the other items at Macy’s stay in stock is part of the complex Tetris game that Sean Barbour, Macy’s senior vice president of supply chain, and his team are accustomed to.

It is Mr. Barbour’s fourth vacation with the company; During that time, he and his team survived the Covid pandemic, global supply chain bottlenecks, and last year’s intense winter storms.

“We are good at solving challenges, no matter what form those challenges take,” he said.

Behind the scenes, the company’s supply chain monitoring team determines which items – and how many of them – should be stocked in Macy’s more than 560 department stores in 43 states. The same goes for Bloomingdale’s stores, which are owned by Macy’s parent company.

The team spends the weeks leading up to Christmas using cutting-edge technology to monitor a wide range of real-time metrics that help predict how long it will take for a store to run out of a particular product. The goal is to get more of that merchandise into stores before that happens.

“We position stock and range in those regions, in those stores, ahead of the season,” Mr Barbour said. Macy’s maintains product reserves at nearby fulfillment centers so it can quickly deliver items to the stores that need them.

Delivering the same number of items to each store would cause some of that merchandise to languish. “It’s not really our intention to have a huge amount of Christmas sweaters in Hawaii,” Mr. Barbour said.

Despite the advanced modeling, a snowstorm can hit a region and delay delivery times, or an item can unexpectedly fly off the shelves. Mr. Barbour’s team must be agile in such situations.

“We will really go to whatever lengths necessary,” he said. “We will change delivery schedules. We send inventory from another location. We will literally do whatever it takes to support that store.”

Asked what time he wakes up on Black Friday, Mr Barbour said: “That assumes I went to sleep.”
