A photo of the late Queen Elizabeth II with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was also manipulated, a picture agency has revealed.

The portrait taken at Balmoral in August 2022 shows the late monarch posing with eight of her 12 grandchildren and was taken just weeks before her death by Kate Middleton.

It was released by Buckingham Palace on April 21 last year to mark what would have been her 97th birthday.

Global picture agency Getty Images now says the heartwarming image was ‘digitally enhanced at source’ having undertaken a review following the recent fallout from the Princess of Wales editing a Mother’s Day photo of herself with her three children.

Several discrepancies, which include the line of the late Queen’s tartan skirt not matching, have been picked up by eagle-eyed members of the public.

The green Chesterfield sofa appears to have been spliced together, while there are black patches visible behind Princes George and Louis, suggesting the area has been edited, reported The Telegraph.

In the snap the late monarch appeared in her element with Lady Louise Mountbatten-Windsor, James, Earl of Wessex, Lena Tindall, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Isla Phillips, Prince Louis, Mia Tindall, Lucas Tindall and Savannah Phillips.

All the children are smiling sweetly as they surround the Queen, who was sitting between them on a sofa and wearing tartan at her beloved Aberdeenshire home.

A spokesman for Getty Images said: ‘Getty Images has reviewed the image in question and placed an editor’s note on it, stating that the image has been digitally enhanced at source.’

Suspicions were first raised about the portrait last year by tech CEO Christopher Bouzy who said he believed it had been photoshopped.

It will be further embarrassment for Kate, who was said to be ‘very distressed by the fallout’ of her Mother’s Day photo, according to the Mail’s royal editor Rebecca English.

Earlier this month the picture was released by Kensington Palace in what was seen as a bid to quash vicious conspiracy theories that had been swirling on social media about the Princess’ health after not being publicly seen since before her planned abdominal surgery in January.

Several of the world’s top news agencies took the extraordinary step to issue a ‘kill’ notice of the keen amateur photographer’s photo over claims it had been ‘manipulated’.

It prompted Kate to issue a statement on X hours later in which she said: ‘Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing.

‘I wanted to  express my apologies for any confusion the family photograph we shared yesterday caused.

‘I hope everyone celebrating had a very happy Mother’s Day. C.’

It comes after an ‘incredibly happy’ Kate was pictured by a member of the public on Saturday visiting the Windsor Farm Shop with her husband William, 41, a short drive from their Berkshire home.

Looking healthy, happy and relaxed, the princess carries her own shopping bag and laughingly chats with her husband as the pair exit the shop and return to their car, according to the image published by The Sun.

Kate and William were not accompanied by their three children, Prince George, ten, Princess Charlotte, eight, and five-year-old Prince Louis.

The couple have, in recent weeks, been left deeply distressed by wild social media speculation and gossip about Kate’s health and whereabouts.

However body language expert Judi James said tonight that Kate’s behaviour was a masterclass in ‘quashing all the toxic rumours’.

She told MailOnline: ‘It is completely stunning to see the most sought-after woman in the world and the subject of speculation and rumours on social media suddenly appearing like this looking not just healthy, full of energy and incredibly happy but also making no apparent attempt to hide while out in public.

‘Her head is up and her long hair is billowing while she wears a cheek-rounded smile that seems to signal she is completely upbeat and cheerful.

‘This is quite extraordinary body language behaviour for a leading royal out “incognito” in public and it suggests a point is, quite naturally, being made in terms of reassuring fans and quashing all the toxic rumours.’

Sources close to the Wales’ have told the Mail they have found the speculation hugely hurtful and hard to deal with, but were determined to focus on what was important to them – their family and the princess’ recovery.

It is anticipated that the new image, showing the couple going about their normal lives, will go some way to calming many of the wilder rumours that have gripped people across the globe.

The snap was taken at 12.43pm on Saturday by a member of the public who was also at the farm shop, just a mile’s drive from the Wales’ Adelaide Cottage home, on their Apple iPhone 12 Pro phone.

The person concerned said they were visiting the shop to ‘kill time’ while on the way to meet someone to buy an item from Facebook when they recognised William and Kate and were struck by how ‘happy’ they looked.

Last April Mr Bouzy described the photograph of the late Queen as ‘beautiful’ on X.

Calling on people to ‘stop criticising’ snap, he added: ‘Yes, they Photoshopped it, and so what? It isn’t easy to get the perfect photo with 10 children. It appears they took multiple shots and then edited the photo to make it perfect. I would’ve done the same.’

In a later tweet about the snap, which was shared on the official social media accounts of The Prince and Princess of Wales, he wrote: ‘You can literally see where two sides of the sofa were spliced together, and there are pixels on the face that were not properly edited.

‘As I stated in my original tweet, I don’t see anything wrong with it. But to claim it’s not Photoshopped is false. It’s been edited.’

The latest series of MasterChef: The Professionals is proving to be a difficult task for some viewers, as participants falter under the extreme pressure of the jury’s gaze.

In the latest episode of the professional cooking competition, which sees chefs take on the terrifying ‘Skills Challenge’ – as Marcus Wareing, Monica Galetti and Gregg Wallace look on – before cooking two courses for them, half of the contestants were reduced to tears stirred.

In episode eight, Gabrielle, a 33-year-old private chef, couldn’t hide her emotions when the judges criticized both of her dishes – and Malta-born chef Giovann became so frustrated with his performance that he uttered through tears: ‘I can’ I don’t think I’ve failed that badly.”

After rocketing through the skills test, London chef Gabrielle came out crashing in the second challenge, with her two dishes – poached turbot with sliced potato scales and a pannacotta dessert – receiving mixed reviews.

Michelin star chef Wareing told her the accompanying croquettes were ‘a bit on the heavy side’, while all three judges were unenthusiastic about her pannacotta, with Monica and Gregg agreeing there was too much setting agent.

After struggling to hold back her tears – with Galetti asking if she was okay – Gabrielle was hugged by her three fellow contestants and later told the show: ‘The MasterChef kitchen is so much harder than any kitchen I’ve been in seated’.

She continued, “To have them look at you and question your dish is a kind of pressure I can’t describe.”

The moment aroused sympathy on social media. One person wrote: ‘Someone gives Gabrielle a big hug. How incredibly difficult it must be, like these young chefs, to put your heart and soul on a plate and then listen to the criticism from professionals.’

Meanwhile, Giovann was praised for his African-inspired rack of lamb, but none of the judges enjoyed his strawberry and almond tart.

He looked somber as Wareing told him, “Your cake is dense and heavy. It doesn’t work for dessert’.

Wallace enjoyed the flavors, but Galetti also said the dish didn’t work – the “over-churned” ice cream remained “grainy.”

Afterward, he said through tears, “The amount of hours I’m putting in is ridiculous, so it’s going to be really hard when I go home today.”

Last week, viewers saw another contestant, who had been tipped for the late stages of the show, break down in front of the trio of high-profile critics.

Welsh chef Ieuan was making a lemon tart with a sable biscuit base and Italian meringue, but had to quickly whip up a French meringue when his first attempt wouldn’t set.

“Do you understand what you did?” Last week, Marcus Wareing had to organize an intervention after chef Ieuan tried to serve a dish with French meringue – containing raw egg – on it

After piping the French meringue with raw egg onto his cookie bases, Wareing made an intervention, telling the nervous chef, “Ieuan, it’s raw. You cannot eat raw meringue. Do you understand what you did?’

The chef looked dejected and said, “I have no dessert on my plate. I don’t know what to do’… before steeling his nerves, scooping out the lemon and meringue and conjuring up a new dessert with lemon and piped cream.

He eventually made it to the table, and while the judges were sympathetic, it wasn’t enough to keep the chef in the competition.

Badly behaved British tourists face being banned from the Balearic Islands under controversial new proposals being studied by regional government leaders.

The island’s head of tourism, Jaume Bauza, appeared to confirm that holidaymakers who break strict rules put in place to tackle anti-social visitors could be blacklisted.

In early 2020, a decree on drunken tourism was agreed for certain areas such as Magaluf in Mallorca and the West End of San Antonio in neighboring Ibiza.

It included fines of up to £50,000 for holidaymakers caught jumping from their hotel balconies and limits on the amount of alcohol served with meals at all-inclusive hotels.

The new right-wing regional government of the Balearic Islands has already announced its intention to change the name of the decree against excessive tourism to that of the ‘responsible tourism’ decree to avoid negative connotations.

In early 2020, a decree on drunken tourism was agreed for certain areas such as Magaluf (pictured) in Mallorca and the West End of San Antonio in neighboring Ibiza

Holidaymakers who flout the rules can already be evicted from their hotels, including holidaymakers who jump between balconies in a dangerous practice known locally as 'balconying'.

Holidaymakers who flout the rules can already be evicted from their hotels, including holidaymakers who jump between balconies in a dangerous practice known locally as ‘balconying’.

It also plans to eliminate the current situation where only some streets in certain resorts, including Magaluf and San Antonio, are covered by the rules, meaning action could potentially be taken against violators on any of the four islands that make up of the Balearic Islands.

But in a major announcement yesterday, Mr Bauza also appeared to admit that, as part of a package of tougher measures being prepared against anti-social visitors, a proposal to put some of them on planes home and ban them from visiting certain time to return, period is considered.

Holidaymakers who flout the rules can already be evicted from their hotels, including holidaymakers who jump between balconies in a dangerous practice known locally as ‘balconying’.

Speaking after a meeting yesterday of the Commission for the Promotion of Citizenship in Tourist Zones with representatives of the four municipalities affected by the current decree on excessive tourism, the island’s head of Tourism confirmed that the idea of a blacklist is being considered .

When asked by local press whether the tougher action the government was planning against antisocial tourists included the possibility of expulsion from the islands and a ban on return for a certain period, Bauza said this would depend on the “crime or offense that has been committed’. ‘

Explaining that it would be ‘addressed in the decree’, he was quoted by the respected island newspaper Diario de Ibiza as saying: ‘I have expressed the main points and nothing is being ruled out or confirmed at this stage.

‘Then a legal framework will be needed.

“The most important thing is that we also focus on companies, but especially on the people who behave in a way that is intolerable, here and everywhere.”

The party resorts of Magaluf and part of Playa de Palma east of the island’s capital, which is also one of the areas covered by the decree on excessive tourism, have been rocked this summer by several alleged sexual attacks involving foreign tourists, including gang rape.

A British 18-year-old was allegedly raped in a hotel in Magaluf in the early hours of August 14.

Five French nationals and one Swiss national were arrested and remanded in custody pending an ongoing judicial investigation, and a further two suspects were subsequently detained in France on European arrest warrants.

The incidents put the spotlight on resorts such as the British-popular Magaluf, which has tried to improve its international image in recent years.

Prostitutes and some pickpockets have been granted restraining orders by the court banning them from setting foot in Magaluf, so taking measures to declare certain individuals ‘personas non grata’ is not new in the area.

Any attempt by the Balearic government to blacklist anti-social tourists will clash with EU free movement law, with the holidaymakers coming from EU member states.

Although the right-wing Popular Party won the May elections in the Balearic Islands, Spain’s left-wing caretaker Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez currently has the best chance of forming a national coalition government that would exclude the right.

In August, it emerged that four of the five tourists given five-figure fines this summer for climbing between balconies at hotels in Magaluf were British.

The municipality of Calvia, responsible for the party resort, said on August 21 that five foreign holidaymakers had been fined for ‘balcony use’.

The five were each fined €36,000 (£30,720) and evicted from their hotels.

The fines were imposed under a regional government decree aimed at eradicating drunken tourism and passed just over three years ago.

Earlier the same month, a company that offered British holidaymakers illegal booze cruises in Magaluf was fined almost £140,000 under the same decree.

Council chiefs in charge of the Mallorca party resort said company bosses were caught red-handed when they escorted around 130 tourists, who had paid almost £40 each, to a boat where loud music would be played and alcohol offered.

The groundbreaking crackdown on excessive tourism put an end to pub crawls, happy hours and cheap 2-for-1 drink deals in areas such as Magaluf and San Antonio’s West End.

The concession of new permits for ‘party boats’ was also suspended, with boats that already had a permit no longer being allowed to embark or disembark tourists in the affected areas.

The new mayor of Calvia, Juan Antonio Amengual, said earlier this month, after it emerged that the ‘exclusion’ of certain areas that critics of the regional government decree have complained about would be halted: ‘What you notice at the moment is that on the one hand from the street you have the strict rules and on the other side you don’t.

“We want everything to be the same.”

Tony Hudgell, who had his legs amputated after suffering horrific abuse at the hands of his parents, may soon be able to walk unaided and realize his dream of running as he undergoes ‘life-changing’ surgery.

The nine-year-old boy from Kent has had prosthetic legs and crutches since he was a toddler, but his adoptive mother says this could change everything for him.

Paula Hudgell, 56, who adopted her son in 2016, revealed in an interview that her son Tony has insisted on having the operation, which will be his 28th, despite what will be an incredibly painful recovery process.

Tony’s biological parents, Anthony Smith, 47, and Jody Simpson, 24, were jailed for 10 years each in 2018 for the torture they inflicted on their 41-day-old son in 2014, which left him with injuries including broken fingers and toes and torn fingers. ligaments.

Despite suffering such unspeakable abuse in the early days of his life, little Tony has grown into a kind and determined boy who has raised around £2 million for charity by walking great distances on his crutches.

Nine-year-old Tony Hudgell, who was so brutally abused by his biological parents that both of his legs had to be amputated, can soon realize his lifelong dream of running as he prepares for ‘life-changing’ surgery

Speaking to the Mirror, Paula revealed that Tony will soon undergo surgery that will allow him to walk on his prosthesis without having to use his crutches – but it will be a difficult time with a long recovery process.

She explained that the surgery involves removing his left femur and replacing it backwards, encouraging it to become the same length as his right femur, causing his legs to rise.

However, as he recovers from the surgery, he will have a cage on his left leg for a year, requiring him to use a wheelchair.

He will also have to return to the hospital every week to have his thigh realigned, which is likely to be extremely painful for the nine-year-old.

Paula Hudgell, the adoptive mother of Tony Hudgell (pictured together) who lost his legs after abuse by his biological father, has expressed her relief that he will remain behind bars

Paula Hudgell (pictured with Tony) campaigned for Tony’s law, which is named after her adopted son. The law increased the sentences given to child molesters

Paula said: ‘It will be very difficult and painful. But if it works, it will be life-changing. Tony desperately wants to run and this operation will give him that chance.”

The operation is currently scheduled for January at Sheffield Children’s Hospital, about 150 miles away from his home in southeast England.

What is Tony’s Law?

Tony’s Law is an amendment to the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill, voted on by ministers on November 30, 2021.

It is named after Tony Hudgell, who was abused by his parents as a baby and suffered life-changing injuries.

His parents, Tony Smith and Jody Simpson, were both sentenced to 10 years in prison, which was the maximum sentence at the time.

The amendment will increase the maximum penalty for causing or permitting serious bodily harm to a child from ten to fourteen years, while causing the death of a child will increase from fourteen years to life in prison.

The tougher planned sentences could mean that anyone who causes or allows the death of a child or vulnerable adult in their care could be jailed for life, instead of the current maximum of 14 years.

As such, Paula, her husband Mark and Tony are raising money for the family to rent a house near the hospital for up to a year while the nine-year-old recovers.

Tony was previously hailed as a hero by Prince William and his wife Kate for his extraordinary fundraising walks to help vulnerable children.

He wanted to raise £500 for the hospital that saved his life in 2020 by walking 10km in 30 days, after taking inspiration from Captain Sir Tom Moore, who raised more than £33 million while walking in his back garden.

In 2021, a foundation established in his name to improve the lives of children affected by physical, emotional or psychological abuse provided more than 700 Christmas presents to young people in need, and the tradition continued last Christmas.

The nine-year-old’s phenomenal fundraising achievements come despite an incredibly difficult start to his life, which led to him undergoing 23 operations and eight blood transfusions.

The horrific abuse he was subjected to by his biological parents caused serious injuries – and the child also developed blood poisoning because Smith and Simpson waited ten days before taking him to hospital.

His fortunes turned around after his life was saved by specialists at the Evelina London Children’s Hospital, of which the Princess of Wales is an official patron.

Then, in 2016, he finally found a loving home with Paula and Mark, who have campaigned tirelessly for Tony’s interests since welcoming him to the family – including a bid for Tony’s Law, which introduced tougher penalties for child abuse.

They also encouraged his fundraising efforts to help other children, which brought him into contact with very famous figures.

After completing his big walk, Tony met the Prince and Princess of Wales who were chatting to the youngster for ‘ages’ as the couple attended the Together At Christmas carol concert at Westminster Abbey last year.

He has also met Prince Harry, along with a string of celebrities, and earlier this year he was singled out by then Prime Minister Boris Johnson for his inspiration.

Despite the attention Paula said of Tony: ‘He takes it all in stride, so to speak. He’s just great.

‘He’s a real people person. He can take up a room of people and talk to them all.”

‘His skin melted’: Mom reveals how her son got so burned by a popular snack that he needed pig skin grafts

A mother has revealed her horror after a ‘normal day’ turned into a nightmare when her son scalded himself with a boiling hot cup of takeout noodles.

Nicole Lego, who regularly uploads stories about her family’s life in the US in TikTok, urged parents to heed her warning after her son was rushed to intensive care with second-degree burns.

In her video on TikTok, Nicole told her followers, “If you’re a parent of little kids, really college kids, or even just an adult, I want you to listen to this.”

The clip, filmed in her car, has since gone viral and has since been viewed 8.4 million times.

Clearly emotional, she said, “I only come here because I don’t want any child to ever go through what my son has been through for the past three days.”

Nicole Lego, believed to be from the US, shared the terrifying story of how her son put a cup of noodles in boiling hot water on his lap

“My son has been in the ICU for burns because of something I never imagined could happen in my entire life.”

She explained that her son loves supermarket noodles, which are usually bought dry in a cup and then filled with boiling hot water. However, his favorite snack took a terrifying turn when he accidentally “dropped the whole cup of noodles on his lap.”

Describing the moments after, she said, “Immediately he screams at the top of his lungs, he takes off his pants, all the skin melts away like a little ice cream cone, everything starts to melt away.”

“We didn’t know he already had deep second-degree burns. Many people don’t realize that a burn like that doesn’t stop burning, it burns for 72 hours.”

At the hospital, she said, “No medicine would stop the screaming. He had surgery today to get pigskin grafts to seal off the nerves and let them heal.”

Those who commented on the video said they’d had similar experiences.

One wrote: ‘This happened to me as a young child and I will never forget it, I hope he heals soon.’

A grateful parent wrote, “Thank you for your courage. This must be so painful to talk about on a social media platform…. but you have given so many the gift of prevention.”

Another person suggested dropping ice cubes into the boiling water used for noodles to cool it down faster and avoid accidents.
