HAVE you ever bagged such a bargain that you wanted to shout it from the rooftops?

Well, that’s the reality one savvy shopper found herself in after a recent visit to her local Boots.

Louise Mae joined money-saving Facebook group ‘Shopping tips, tricks and offers with yellow stickers‘ and proudly posted a photo of her mega harvest.

The bargains include nine Dove roll-on deodorants reduced to just 45 cents on sale, three bottles of SO…? rainbow sherbet body spray reduced to just £1 and two boxes of wax strips at 50p each.

The bargain hunter also bought two bags of Vow Nutrition pre-workout, which usually cost £24.99, for just £1.90, along with a 20p bag of crisps.

Alongside the post she wrote: “Some good bargains in Boots.”

But despite being delighted with her purchases, not everyone was impressed, with some calling her ‘greedy’.

Louise hit back at the trolls, writing: ‘You know all I’ve done is post what I’ve got and people are so awful, I’ve taken what I wanted and that’s why it’s on the shelves.

“There was still enough left and all those negative people should get a life.”

All the people involved in the comments, because the girl bought some bargains. You’re all just jealous. I would have bought them all too.”

Elsewhere, others were quick to defend her and condemn negative keyboard warriors for being ‘jealous’.

“I completely agree that she hasn’t been greedy at all,” wrote one.

It was a yellow sticker central in Asda – I found so much very cheap meat but it was busy, mind the time I went

A second praised: “Love it! And you still get boot points too!”

A third commented: “Excellent!”

And a fourth added: “Amazing!”

And Louise is not the only bargain hunter who has stolen all the offers with huge discounts from the shelves in recent weeks.

Fabulous previously told how shoppers kept shouting: ‘If you’re not quick, you’ll be last’ woman cleared away 14 bottles of drinks in Asda that is flogged for 37 cents.

Destiny Nicole Lawler raced online to the Facebook group Extreme Coupons and Bargains UK and posted a photo of the Starbucks Mocha bottles with yellow stickers she came across.

They were discounted from £1.25 to just 37p each, making an impressive saving of 88p per drink.

“I already got these 37p each from Asda, valid until April,” she wrote.

“Of course I would have picked up four and left the others for other people. But until I joined this group and saw how people are taking care of themselves, I decided to take all fourteen.”

Shoppers have breathed a sigh of relief after a bargain retailer confirmed it has saved one of its stores from closure.

The branch was due to close after 13 years due to a blow to the shopping street, but now appears to remain open.

The Original Factory Shop is keeping a store open in Pembrokeshire

The Original Factory Shop store in Milford Haven, Pembrokeshire, Wales, is said to be downing its shutters for good.

A spokesperson for the retailer, which has around 170 branches in the UK, told The Sun in January that it had made the decision to close the store and thanked customers for their support.

But in a surprising twist, the retailer has said it will keep the store open.

A recent post on the Milford Haven Original Factory Store Facebook page said: “We have fantastic news!! The store now remains open!”

Read more in Store Openings

The postal service said normal deliveries will resume in one or two weeks, and that the branch was holding a huge sale on women’s clothing, men’s clothing and children’s clothing.

Shoppers can find the sale items at the back of the store, with discounts of up to 50%.

Shoppers and locals alike are breathing a huge sigh of relief after finding out the branch won’t close as initially thought.

One said: “About time it stayed open,” while another added: “I had to hear this!”

The British retail apocalypse: why your favorite stores keep closing

Meanwhile, a third commented: “So glad you’re staying open.”

A fourth told branch staff: “I’m so happy for you all.”

It comes after The Original Factory Shop opened 16 locations between August and October as it expanded its retail arm across the UK.

It opened stores in Stonehaven, Castle Douglas, Perth and Lanark in Scotland.

It also raised the shutters for the first time on sites in Ashbourne, Attleborough and Blandford Forum, England.

But it hasn’t all been good news for the chain in recent months.

The retailer, which opened its first store in 1969 and now has more than 195 stores in the UK, has also closed branches.

Retailers often close and open branches in an effort to balance their portfolios and meet demand in certain areas.

The chain closed stores in Chepstow, Mildenhall and Bodmin in August last year.

In May, three months earlier, sites in Bideword and Stourport were also closed.

What other retailers are opening stores?

You might think it’s all doom and gloom and that the high streets are crumbling, with shops closing left, right and centre.

High inflation over the past few years, coupled with consumers increasingly turning to online stores, has led to hundreds of businesses closing.

Why are retailers closing their stores?

RETAILERS have been feeling the pressure since the pandemic, as shoppers cut back on spending due to the rising cost of living.

High energy costs and the move to online shopping after the pandemic are also taking their toll, with many high street stores struggling to continue.

The high street has seen a slew of closures in the past year, with more to come.

The number of jobs lost in UK retail fell last year, but 120,000 people still lost their jobs, figures show.

Figures from the Center for Retail Research show that 10,494 stores will have closed for the last time in 2023 and 119,405 jobs will have been lost in the sector.

It was fewer stores than had been lost in recent years, and a decrease from the 151,641 jobs lost in 2022.

The centre’s director, Professor Joshua Bamfield, said the improvement is “less bad” than good.

While some big names on the high street were lost, including Wilko, many major companies had already gone bankrupt before 2022, the center said, such as Topshop owner Arcadia, Jessops and Debenhams.

“The cost of living crisis, inflation and rise in interest rates have prompted many consumers to tighten their belts, causing retail spending to fall,” said Prof Bamfield.

“Retailers themselves have faced rising energy and occupancy costs, staff shortages and declining demand, making rebuilding profits after extensive store closures during the pandemic exceptionally difficult.”

Besides Wilko, which employed around 12,000 people when it went bust, the biggest failures of 2023 include UK Flooring Direct, Planet Organic and Tile Giant.

The Center for Retail Research said most stores were closed as companies tried to reorganize and cut costs rather than face bankruptcy.

However, experts have warned that more bankruptcies are likely this year as consumers tighten their belts and borrowing costs for businesses soar.

According to official figures, about 14% of bankruptcies last year occurred in retail businesses.

High labor and energy costs have also increased pressure on retailers.

In January, the Center for Retail Research announced that more than 10,000 stores would close permanently by 2023, with the loss of nearly 120,000 jobs.

But despite the backdrop, some retailers have opened branches in the UK that offer rays of sunshine.

Asda has opened hundreds of convenience stores in recent months as it looks to compete with major players Tesco and Sainsbury’s.

Primark is also opening new branches and investing and renovating more than a dozen existing stores.

WHSmith has shifted its focus to the travel side of its business, with plans to open new locations at airports, train stations and hospitals.

In an update to investors in January, the retailer said it was on track to open 15 stores this year, with a further 15 to follow “each year over the medium term”.

Lidl also wants to open 12 new stores in Britain as the company looks to raise £91 million in funding from investors.

One savvy shopper took to a coupons and bargains page on social media to share the news and low price, much to the delight of Chupa Chups fans.

One Facebook user quickly exclaimed, “It’s delicious.”

In late 2023, Chupa Chups launched its new lollipop flavored popcorn in Carrefour supermarkets in France and Spain.

Their iconic sweet signature lollipop flavors – including apple, strawberry and cola – have been combined with premium air-popped popcorn to bring you these colorful treats.

A spokesperson for United Food and Beverage Group said: “During big birthday celebrations or intimate TV evenings for all the family.

“We are there together with iconic flavor Chupa Chups popcorn to celebrate true joy.

“We are excited about this great collaboration between partners who share the same values; bringing tasteful and joyful moments to families and friends around the world.”

While the Global Confectionery Group manager added: “We are very excited about the prospect of CRNCH Popcorn Concepts.

“We offer fans of our brand many moments of joy and pleasure with every crunch of this popcorn so expertly glazed in long-favorite Chupa Chups flavors.”

Since its launch in Europe, the lollipop-flavored popcorn has taken consumers by storm – finally making its debut in Britain.

The retailer is known for its value purchases and many social media users have started sharing their offers online.

Earlier this year a man bagged a huge amount of food for just £1.20.

Alongside the photo of the bargain purchases, Anthony French wrote: “Another good morning delivery of B&M items worth 10p. Total £1.20!”

Anthony managed to get his hands on two loaves of Warburtons fruit bread, which were reduced from £1.80 to just 10p each.

He also received two packs of Walls pork and pickle pies, which were reduced from £1.40 to just 10p a pack, two packs of plain chicken breast slices and a pack of chicken tikka breast slices, all costing 10p each from £ 1.25.

Anthony also got some super sweet treats – as he bought a tiramisu dessert, which was reduced from £2.60 to just 10p, and four packets of salted caramel Gu cheesecakes, which once cost £2.50 per packet but now only costs 10 cents. each.

What should have cost Anthony £22.75 actually set him back just £1.20, saving him a whopping £21.55.

Chocolate fans are also sprinting to their nearest B&M to get their hands on a famous soon-to-be-discontinued chocolate bar.

As other bargain hunters rushed to get their hands on Bluetooth wireless headphones, they were reduced to just 10p.

DISAPPOINTED shoppers called their high street a ‘ghost town’ as another bargain chain pulled down the shutters for good.

The popular company, with more than 500 branches, announced another permanent closure within hours.

The Works in Caernarfon, Wales today waves goodbye to loyal customers.

But it’s not all bad news for the discount craft retailer as staff are moved to nearby branches in Bangor and Llandudno.

A spokesperson for The Works said: “We can confirm that we will be closing our store in Caernarfon on March 17.

“We have loved being part of the local community and apologize for any inconvenience caused by this closure.

“We are working to redeploy all team members to local stores and customers can continue to shop with us at our nearby stores in Bangor and Llandudno.”

They continued: “We continually review our property portfolio to ensure we have the right mix of stores in the right locations to best serve our customers.

“This occasionally means that we have to close stores, but that we also have to improve our stores with renovations or relocations if a more favorable location becomes available.

“We are also always looking for new locations and have a handful of new openings planned in the coming months.”

Disappointed shoppers were quick to hail The Works in light of its closure.

“Such a shame. We go there often,” one wrote on Facebook.

“I was shocked to hear that The Works are leaving,” another added.

A third commented: “Oh no, what a shame, I always buy my books there, it’s always busy too.”

“Oh no. I love The Works, it has something for everyone, especially families and craft lovers,” someone else wrote.

“It will soon become a ghost town,” added another disheartened customer.

One user intervened, saying: “New businesses can’t afford to start up. It’s a vicious cycle destroying the high street.”

It comes as thousands of high street stores have said goodbye amid an epidemic of closures across the UK.

Even Industry giants have fallen victim in recent months.

British retailers saw the amount of goods sold fall last month, at the fastest pace in three years.

According to data from the Office for National Statistics, sales volumes fell 3.2% in December, compared to a rise of 1.4% a month earlier.

Body Shop bosses recently called in administrators with a “significant number” of jobs and stores at risk as the brand looks set to enter an insolvency process.

Meanwhile, popular beauty retailer Boots has also sadly announced it will close 300 stores this year, following several closures in 2023.

And discount store Lidl has also seen a large number of locations close.

The full list, of 1,168 locations, includes locations in all parts of Great Britain, including: 66 in Scotland, 83 in Yorkshire, 83 in central England, 91 in south London and 42 in south-mid Wales.

Bargain hunters were also devastated to hear that discount retailer B&M was closing another store.

Meanwhile, Argos, Next, Jack Wills and Poundland have all announced they will permanently close selected branches this year.

It follows rising costs of living, rising energy bills and even some businesses continuing to feel the knock-on effect of the pandemic.

Shoppers have been forced to cut back, while the costs of running stores have also risen.

Figures from the British Retail Consortium (BRC) this summer showed that Britain had lost 6,000 stores in a five-year period.

And shoppers can now buy 48 of the little chocolatey delights for less than £22.

The box normally costs £23.05 but has been reduced to £21.36 for a limited time.

That makes each Creme Egg just 45p, cheaper than Tesco, Asda and Morrisons.

Shoppers can pick them up for 50p each from Tesco and Asda or for 75p from Morrisons.

This would make each chocolate egg 30p more expensive, equating to a difference of £14.40.

The bulk box is an incredibly popular choice on Amazon, with more than 10,000 sold in the last month.

And the hitbox has achieved an impressive and near-perfect average star rating of 4.8 out of five from 17,956 reviews.

One customer wrote: “I got these because they were cheaper than in the stores.”

A second called the product ‘more cost-effective’ than buying it in supermarkets.

Irish supermarket chain is selling Cadbury bargains at ‘less than half price’ as shoppers rush to fill trolleys

They said: “You can’t go wrong with a box of these. It was great to give to my students around Easter… it was much more cost effective than the shops. I would buy it again.”

A third wrote: “If you have a large family the Easter hunts can be expensive so putting these in packs of 2+ in sandwich bags or party bags in different colors made it a fun day, worth the money and will make this event keep it going.

“Saving a lot of money also made the children happy.”

However, one Amazon customer said: “It’s not much, but that’s not the point: there should have been 48, but there were 46.

“I was suspicious because the polyethylene covering the cardboard outer box had clearly stretched and let’s say two eggs had fallen out somewhere.”

TO LOOK FOR EASTER EGGS

With Easter fast approaching, there’s not much time left to grab a bargain on your favorite chocolate.

Retailers have been competing for the best deals on sweet treats since the start of the year.

Tesco has slashed the cost of 22 extra-large Easter eggs, including many Cadbury varieties.

For example, Clubcard customers can buy a 232g Cadbury Dairy Milk Twirl Easter Egg for £3.50.

But if you are not signed up for the loyalty program, you will have to pay a fiver.

A number of Easter eggs at Asda were reduced from 60p to their original prices of £1.25 and £1.50.

Despite Asda ending its deal offering 60p eggs on March 10, it is still the cheapest place to buy a 96g Freddo Easter egg.

It comes with a small egg and a selection of iconic Freddo chocolates inside and retails for £1.25.

Asda is selling a 190g KitKat Chunky egg carton for £3, the same as Tesco and Ocado.

Meanwhile, Morrisons and Iceland are the next cheapest option, selling these for £3.25 and £3.50 respectively.

Elsewhere, Sainsbury’s has several discounts on Easter eggs for Nectar card buyers.

This includes a large 195g Lindt Easter egg with a salted caramel golden bunny, which retails for £9 with a Nectar card, and £11 without.

Morrisons are also offering discounts and special bundles on Easter eggs and treats.

Peacocks fell into administration in 2020 and was forced to close just over 200 of its 400 stores.

The chain was rescued in April 2021 and was able to keep its remaining stores open, saving 2,000 jobs.

But now the retailer has had to close more doors in a desperate bid to stay afloat.

The latest to bite the bullet is the Peacocks branch at Clarendon Square Mall in Hyde, which will close for good on Saturday, March 16.

read more problems on the street

According to Tameside Correspondent, the nearest branch is now Ashton-under-Lyne.

The Peacocks branch in Hyde even had a closing sale in 2020, although it reopened after Covid restrictions were lifted.

Now it appears the closure is permanent.

It is not the only Peacocks store that will disappear from the high street in the coming weeks.

The retailer has announced it will close its store on Wales’ high street Merthyr Tydfil on March 23.

However, the cheap fashion chain will close with a bang and keep a mega discount of 30 percent on all sales.

Meanwhile, the store at Ashford’s County Square Shopping Center in Kent will also close on March 23.

The unit has just reopened after ‘essential electrical work’ kept it closed for more than a week.

Elsewhere, Peacocks in Camborne, Cornwall, will close on April 3.

In addition, it is also closing its branch in Boscombe, Bournemouth on April 6, which is a blow to locals.

The retailer announced news of the closure on its Facebook page, where a closure notice was also displayed in the branch window.

Peacocks fell into administration in November 2020 and closed half of the 420 stores they had at the time, dealing a major blow to the high street.

The fashion retailer went bankrupt after struggling to do business during the coronavirus pandemic and multiple lockdowns.

However, it has slowly returned to the high street and has built its portfolio back up to around 350 stores.

And in October last year, the chain announced plans to open seven new stores in Wales, England and Scotland.

It has not confirmed the exact opening dates for the new stores.

Which Peacocks stores will close?

PEACOCKS will close almost six stores in the coming weeks.

View the full list below:

  • Clarendon Square Mall, Hyde – March 16
  • Merthyr Tydfil, Wales – March 23
  • County Square Shopping Centre, Ashford, Kent – March 23
  • Camborne, Cornwall – April 3
  • Boscombe, Bournemouth – April 3

It comes as several other major chains have taken serious hits on the high street.

Last year, popular retailers such as Wilko fell under administration and disappeared from the shopping streets for good.

Body Shop also recently went into administration and announced it would close almost half of its 198 stores.

Seven branches have already closed with immediate effect, but administrators of the major retailer said they wanted to “safeguard the future of the brand” with the restructuring.

Struggling fashion brand Superdry is also exploring various “cost-saving options” after reports it is considering a major restructuring.

A Sports Direct branch in Stroud, Gloucestershire, will pull down the shutters for good at the end of March – after closing its branch in Central Six Retail Park, Coventry, at the end of January.

Supermarket chains such as Lidl, Tesco and Iceland have been closing their stores since the beginning of 2023.

And budget retailers such as Poundstretcher and Argos are also struggling to keep some of their own stores afloat.

A BARGAIN chain has suddenly closed a city center store – but shoppers are ‘buzzing’ about its ‘great’ replacement.

Poundland has around 800 branches across the UK, including in major cities such as London, Leeds and Birmingham.

But Norwich shoppers can no longer visit Poundland in St Stephens Street after it closed for the final time this weekend.

However, it is not all bad news for shoppers, because the chain will open a new store around the corner from the old location on March 30.

Customers flocked to social media to share their excitement about the new store.

One Facebook user said: “I can’t wait. I’m dying to open this.”

Another wrote: “It will be so good to see it open again!”

While a third said: “I wouldn’t miss this opening to the world, I’m soooo excited!!”

A Poundland spokesperson said the chain’s new store will open on the site of a former store. Primark.

They added: “The new store will give us the space to bring our best offering to the city – including great Pepco clothing for all the family and our all-new general merchandise ranges.

“Of course, we also carry customers’ favorite groceries – all at the great price we promise customers.”

It comes just weeks after Poundland revealed it is embarking on a major new makeover project that the chain is calling “Project Evo”.

Shopping Discounts – How to Save and Find the Best Bargains

The stores will also have fresh new signage, flooring and lighting.

After the adjustments, all stores will offer more baby and children’s clothing for parents on a limited budget.

The introduction of chilled food will give shoppers the chance to pick up items from Poundland’s popular frozen range.

Nearly a dozen stores have been renovated so far, including those in Darlington and Plymouth.

But in the future, 150 stores will get a makeover.

Poundland has also revealed it is launching thousands of new products, including homeware and bathroom decoration lines.

Shoppers can pick up the new items at more than 850 branches in Great Britain and Ireland and online.

Pepco, which took over Poundland in 2017, revamped its clothing departments in Poundland stores last year.

More than 550 stores with clothing ranges were redesigned, doubling the amount of space for baby and children’s clothing.

Meanwhile, Poundland is expanding its store portfolio after opening more than 85 stores in just 70 days before Christmas.

It included 10 branches that welcomed customers for the first time over two days in December, on what was dubbed “Super Saturday”.

The retailer has opened stores across the UK, including in Falkirk, Scotland, Birmingham and Plymouth.

Some of the new locations have been acquired from former rival Wilko, which went into administration in August last year.

In November, Poundland said it expected to have opened stores in 64 former Wilko locations before Christmas.

It came after Wilko’s last remaining stores closed for good in early October.

The openings come as B&M makes similar moves, announcing earlier in January plans to open 17 new locations by the end of next month.

Branches have already opened in Stourbridge, Wigston and Loughborough, with more set to open in London, Castle Douglas and Beaumont Lays.

The retailer shuttered its branch in the Chineham Shopping Center near Basingstoke on December 31.

A spokesperson said it was closing the location because the lease could not be renewed.

Meanwhile, Poundland closed its store in Colwyn Bay, Wales, on January 5, leaving locals devastated.

Poundland opened its first store in Burton-upon-Trent in 1990 and today has opened more than 850 stores across Britain and Ireland.

The retailer employs 18,000 employees and serves seven million customers per week.

Full list of renovations in Poundland

POUNDLAND will renovate 150 stores as part of “Project Evo”.

Below is a full list of locations that have already had a makeover:

  • Urmston
  • Keynsham
  • Darlington
  • Plymouth
  • Keighley
  • Leeds Crown Point
  • Coventry
  • Chatham

What other stores are opening stores?

A number of retailers are expanding their store portfolio after positive sales periods.

More than a dozen chains, including household names such as Primark and B&M, are bucking the trend and opening branches in the UK.

Asda, Primark, Nike and Sainsbury’s are all bringing new stores to shoppers in the coming months and years.

Asda opened 110 smaller Express convenience stores in February as part of major expansion plans.

Primark confirmed plans to open new branches and invest and renovate more than a dozen of its existing stores.

It comes as part of a £75 million investment in its UK shopping complex.

Primark previously announced that new stores will open in Bury St. Edmunds, Teesside Park and Glasgow Fort in 2024.

Wilko has already launched a comeback on the high street, opening stores in Plymouth, Luton and Exeter before the end of 2023.

The retailer, which went bankrupt in August last year, has plans to further open the shutters.

CDS Superstores, trading as The Range and Wilko, has previously said it could reopen dozens more Wilko branches.

In January, B&M said it had plans to open 17 new locations by 2024, some of which would open soon.

The Sun has compiled a full list of chains opening stores.

TYSON and Paris Fury went shopping in Asda in a way that would have made Boris Johnson ‘proud’.

The heavyweight world boxing champion gave his 6.9 million a glimpse into a day in his life.

In between training sessions and healthy meals, the Gypsy King showed off his beautiful green £190,000 Lamborghini Urus.

And the father-of-seven – who lives in a £550,000 Morecambe mansion – also took the rubbish out by the skip.

But to end the evening, Fury and his wife Paris visited Asda – their favorite supermarket since they married 16 years ago.

The boxing superstar filmed childhood sweetheart Paris looking for pajamas for one of their children.

And he insisted Lancashire cheese – which cost £2.75 – was “the best”.

Fury then hilariously refused to pay the £6.10 premium for Nutella spread, opting for Asda’s own spread instead.

He said: “Decisions, decisions. Do you spend £6.10 on a jar of Nutella or spend £1.85 on chocolate spread? I think we’ll take this one, Paris.”

The couple instead settled for Asda’s cheaper hazelnut chocolate spread, which cost £2.75 and saved £3.35 at Nutella.

Paris said: “Boris Johnson would be proud.”

Fury continued his savings campaign after refusing to let Paris buy a box of Ferrero Rocher popsicles for £5.

Tyson Fury races off in a stunning £190,000 Lamborghini, then heads to the skip to throw away the car full of rubbish

He said, “Put them back! They cost a fiver for a couple of popsicles. I don’t think so! Five quid for a couple of popsicles, buy the one pound one.”

They opted for a £1 Vimto lollipop after Fury said: “Value for money.

“After spending all the money on the Lambo in Paris, I think we should save some money on groceries.”

Ultimately it came down to paying the bill and Fury joked about the price increases over the past twenty years.

He said: “Paris, we have been coming to this Asda for 16 years since we got married.

Fury joked how the store went from £40 to £140

“We built our first shop here and it only cost about €40 for the two of us, but with all those children it doesn’t cost €40 anymore, does it?

“Costs about £140! But there you go, married all these years and we still shop in the same store in Paris, in the same location, Paris”

The happy couple welcomed their seventh child in September: son Prince Rico.

He joined Venezuela, 13, Prince John James, 11, Prince Tyson II, seven, Valencia Amber, five, Prince Adonis Amaziah, four, and Athena, two.

Despite a day of sober savings, Fury then showed off a private jet with the caption: “Business call.”

The two-time champion returns in an undisputed title fight against Oleksandr Usyk, 37, in Saudi Arabia on May 18.

The fight was scheduled for February 17 until Fury suffered a cut in sparring, but he has insisted the cut has healed and training is back on.

However, they can cost you quite a penny, with some costing up to £74 for full price.

One savvy shopper posted a photo of a cheap Oodie dupe they found at supermarket Farmfoods for just £4.99.

In the Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains they wrote: “I went to Farmfoods for cheesy pasta and came home with an Oodie.

“How could you not, for £4.99? It’s so cozy and very spacious.”

Fellow bargain hunters on social media rushed to the comments to share their thoughts on the find.

One wrote: “I have one of those too! I was skeptical because it came in an airtight bag, but wow!!

“Super comfortable and large. Definitely a bargain!!”

Another said: “It’s beautiful.”

While a third added: “I got one yesterday too. Mine is gray with stars, so comfortable.”

This deal was at Farmfoods in Bo’ness, Scotland, so if you’re considering going to your local store, remember that there’s no guarantee it will be in all stores.

Save money on your energy bill with these cold weather tips

You can find your local Farmfoods using the locator on the supermarket’s website.

While it’s tempting to pick up a bargain, keep in mind that you’ll only save money if you need it in the first place.

Buying something just because it’s on sale won’t necessarily save you money.

It’s also good to shop around, especially at this time of year, as prices and stock levels can change daily.

The Sun used Oodie dupes from Primark, Asda and Silentnight to prevent the heating from coming on.

While we think £4.99 for an Oodie will be a hard price to beat, we’ve had a look around online to see what other retailers have to offer.

Dunelm is currently selling a leopard print Oodie for £4.50, reduced from £18, which is slightly cheaper than the Farmfoods deal.

But remember that if you want to order it online, you will have to add a small fee for delivery.

Marks and Spencer sells a variety of hooded blankets ranging from £25 to £59.

Keep in mind that you often have more choice in the store, so it’s worth keeping an eye out when you’re out.

Meanwhile, shoppers are rushing to buy a £3 energy-saving essential from Home Bargains to dry laundry at super speed.

If you’re watching the pennies and want to know which bills will rise this year, we’ve got the full list – along with some tips on how to avoid paying more.

How can I save on my supermarket shopping?

There are plenty of ways to save money at your grocery store.

You can look for yellow or red stickers on products, which indicate when they are discounted.

If the food is fresh, eat it quickly or freeze it for another time.

Making a list should also save you money because you’ll be less likely to make hasty purchases when you go to the grocery store.

Choosing your own brand can be an easy way to save hundreds of dollars a year on your food bill, too.

This means ditching the ‘best’ or ‘luxury’ products and instead opting for ‘own’ or value-for-money lines.

Many supermarkets have shaky fruit and vegetable programs where you can get cheap prices if they are misshapen or imperfect.

For example, Lidl runs its Waste Not scheme, offering 5kg boxes of fruit and vegetables for just £1.50.

If you’re on a low income and a parent, you could potentially get up to £442 a year in Healthy Start vouchers, which you can also use at the supermarket.

In addition, many municipalities offer supermarket vouchers as part of the Household Support Fund.

The brand was founded in 1980 and has become a permanent fixture on the shopping street.

But now the chain has announced plans to down the shutters of its branch in London’s Erith Riverside Shopping Center.

A statement on the store’s official Facebook page read: “Unfortunately, it is with great regret that we have to announce that we will be closing our doors next month!

“Select Erith would like to thank all our lovely customers who have shopped with us over the past few years.

“Erith Select has been providing services to our customers for 10 years and will be missed by many.

“We hope that our customers will continue to shop with us, long after we have left our website or other branches.

“Come select yours and get a bargain while you can!!!”

Shoppers rushed to the comments section to share their sadness over the decision.

One said: “It will soon be a ghost town.”

Another wrote: “That’s sad, another nice store is leaving.”

Shopping Discounts – How to Save and Find the Best Bargains

The Sun has contacted Select and the Riverside Shopping Center for comment.

The brand has launched a closing sale, with a sign in the store advertising ‘crazy offers’.

It reads: “Crazy deals. This store is closing.”

It comes after Select announced it would close its store in Ashford’s County Square shopping center in Kent.

The branch closed for the last time at the end of February.

What other changes are taking place on the high street?

The main street is almost unrecognizable compared to what it once was, with some locals describing their town as more of a ‘ghost town’.

Shops, pubs and restaurants are all falling victim to the rising cost of living, with high rents and bills making it impossible to survive.

Shoppers no longer have the cash to splash like they used to, with many just managing to get by after paying for essentials.

Last year, popular retailers such as Wilko fell under administration and disappeared from the shopping streets for good.

Fans were devastated by the discounter’s demise, but it appears the retailer is making a comeback.

The Range took over the website and brand name last year and has since started opening a number of new concept stores, much to the delight of fans.

Wilko stores have already opened in Plymouth, Exeter and Luton and the opening dates of a further two locations have recently been announced.

The stores in St. Albans and Rotherham will open at 9am on Good Friday, March 29.

Meanwhile, it’s not such good news for Body Shop fans as the iconic beauty retailer recently went into administration and revealed it would be closing almost half of its 198 stores.

Seven branches have already closed with immediate effect, but administrators of the major retailer said they wanted to “safeguard the future of the brand” with the restructuring.

Struggling fashion brand Superdry is also exploring various “cost-saving options” after reports it is considering a major restructuring.

However, some retailers are bucking the trend and opening in new locations.

Primark said it will open five new stores, with one coming within weeks.
