Celebrity Big Brother fans have urged bosses to send Jedward and Gemma Collins into the house to confront housemate Louis Walsh.

Scandal erupted in the famed house when the talent show judge, 71, said that twins John and Edward Grimes, 32, were ‘vile’ in a conversation on the show, prompting the singers to hit back with a fiery exchange

When the scenes aired, Jedward were at former TOWIE star Gemma’s home, where the trio hit back on social media – something fans recalled this week.

Taking to Instagram ahead of Friday night’s final, fans demanded the brothers and reality great are sent into the house, with users writing: ‘Big Brother are losing out on TV gold if they don’t send Gemma Collins and Jedward to confront Louis Walsh’.

Another viewer wrote to Jedward: ‘Happy St Patrick’s Day to u both. U two and Gemma Collins should be in the CBBUK house instead of Louis’, while another fans echoed: ‘Or WITH Louis, now that would be good craic!’

The new demands come after Louis came under fire from Jedward after his scathing attack on Celebrity Big Brother, with the singing duo brand him a ‘snake’.

The talent show judge, 71, said that twins John and Edward Grimes were ‘vile’ in a conversation on the show, prompting the singers to hit back with a fiery exchange.

And now Jedward, both 32, have again slammed the former talent manager as part of a post for St Patrick’s Day.

‘Happy Paddy’s Day,’ the duo posted on X, formerly Twitter. ‘Hope St.Patrick slays Louis the snake.’

Former contestants of the ITV singing competition leapt to Jedward’s defence this week after Louis’s comments on CBB, hitting out at him on X.

Katie Waissel, who has previously claimed that her stint on the show back in 2010 ‘ruined her life’, accused Louis of being part of a ‘manipulative and coercive’ environment behind the scenes.

In an impassioned tweet on Wednesday, the show star stood up for Jedward as she doubled down on her claims that a public inquiry should be launched into the programme.

Katie shared: ‘@planetjedward firstly, having met you both personally, I can unequivocally state that you are by no means ‘vile’ , if anything you are both absolutely the contrary to this! I stand firmly behind you in your corner, always…

‘What I wish for the general public to take from this, is that Louis Walsh, former XFactor judge, has confirmed and revealed on national television, the tip of the iceberg of abuse, manipulation and coercion that went on behind the scenes on the XFactor, of which myself and many others have spoken publicly about.

‘By stating he (Louis Walsh) made £5million off of Jedward, immediately after calling them ‘vile’ and stating that they made ‘great tv’, in itself, only but further confirms how the show was disturbingly manufactured and manipulated.

‘This is not the first time a former judge has disclosed contradictory and manipulated tactics to secure contestants, all in the while, completely unbeknownst to the contestants themselves.

‘All contestants were lead to believe they entered a singing competition, as did the general public.

‘There are serious and significant issues that need to be addressed, and further remedied, by all parties involved in the making, producing and broadcasting of the now cancelled show, XFactor, as well as a public inquiry to be held, to ensure the future of music and television is protected through their findings, to update policy, regulation, and legislation. #CBBUK #LouisWalsh #Jedward [sic].’

As one one follower suggested they would like to see Katie and Jedward enter the Big Brother house to confront Louis, Katie revealed she had already approached them, tweeting: ‘I verbatim asked production to give me just five minutes.’

Steve Brookstein, who won the inaugural season of X Factor in 2004 with Simon Cowell as his mentor, also didn’t hold back with his criticism of Louis, claiming he had now been vindicated in branding the star a ‘c***’.

He tweeted on Tuesday: ’20 years ago I said Louis Walsh was a c*** and only now people are realising it. Better late than never.’

Steve has not been shy of sharing his thoughts on Louis and fellow X Factor judge Sharon Osbourne during their time on Celebrity Big Brother, previously sharing: ‘If people saw Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh for what they are – they wouldn’t be watching #cbbuk.’

MailOnline contacted Freemantle, Thames TV, ITV and Louis’ representatives for comment.

Louis has caused outrage after labelling the twin brothers, John and Edward Grimes ‘vile’, when he was quizzed on what he thought of them by his co-star Colson Smith.

The remarks were one of the latest in a string of bizarre rants about fellow celebs, which have also been aimed at Adele, James Corden and Ronan Keating.

During the exchange, Louis revealed that he had ‘made £5million’ from the double act during his time as their manager between 2009 and 2013.

Soon after the comments aired on ITV, John and Edward took X to dispute Louis’ claims and branded him a ‘cold-hearted b****d’.

Colson had asked Louis, who managed the pair four four years: ‘What were Jedward like?’

The Irishman replied: ‘They were vile.’

Colson said: ‘They’ve done well’, and Louis said: ‘I got £5million from them. I swear on my mother’s life.’

Clearly impressed, Colson quipped back: ‘B****y hell, I wish I had a Jedward.’

Doubling down on his opinion, Louis added: ‘And they were vile. But they were novelty. It was great for the show. It was all about the show.’

That saw the brothers – now 32 – launch into a series of scathing online accusations in response.

They kicked off by calling him a ‘cold-hearted b****d who didn’t even send us flowers when our mom died’ – the twins lost their mum Susanna to cancer in 2019.

Following the music manager’s remarks, Jedward insisted that ‘justice would be served’, as they continued the tirade on their X account.

One of the tweets shared by the brothers claimed: ‘Louis Walsh is an evil manipulator who forced us into an office to pay £70k from our bank account to one of his own PR workers.’

Another said: ‘Louis Walsh b****d and talked about us to our best friend Tara Reid and then we fired him!’

A final tweet read: ‘Louis reopened these wounds all by himself being spiteful and disrespectful we aren’t going to have our character taken. Justice will be served.’

During the episode, Jedward were having dinner with their close friend and former TOWIE star Gemma Collins.

Gemma quickly jumped to their defence on Instagram as she admitted she ‘couldn’t believe’ what was being said.

She posted: ‘Shocked to see what was said about my boys. They are the sweetest, talented, polite, educated, kind boys I’ve ever met hence why they are always in my company!! TEAM JEDWARD. #Jedward’.

The Irish music mogul Walsh managed the pair between 2009 and 2013, but things turned sour when, in 2016, Walsh described the duo as ‘the most embarrassing thing to happen to him’.

That’s despite boasting of making millions after Jedward’s first two albums went platinum in Ireland, while they also represented their country at Eurovision in 2011 and 2012.

Ironically Louis defended the brothers during The X Factor in 2009 when Simon Cowell called them ‘vile’ – the same term he used in the CBB house.

He argued that they were ‘innocent children’ at the time, when Simon hissed that they were ‘vile little creatures’.

Elsewhere in the Jedward biography, Louis continues to fawn over his charges. He said: ‘You either have that special something or you don’t and I thought that they had it in spades… they are nice to everybody, from the people on the street to the people in the record company – and that’s why they have so many fans.

‘Everyone wants to work with them because they are just so hard-working and genuinely nice. John and Edward make the people that they meet smile and they make them feel special – that is their secret and that is what sets them apart from a lot of people.

‘Their attitude is 100 per cent positive all of the time and that is why they are where they are now.’

Despite that, the twins say in the book that one of their manager’s primary pieces of advice to them was ‘always break the rules’.

John added: ‘Louis always tells us to never follow the rules and always break out and be different: but we don’t attention seek, things just work out well for us.’

But Louis maintained that the quiff-topped singers were the perfect pop stars to work with.

He said: ‘They never complain and they just want to work, work, work – how would I ever regret taking them on?

‘The boys are a manager’s dream and they are having the time of their lives… I wish every act was like that and then there would be no trouble: Jedward are the best-behaved group I have ever came across in 30 years in the business.’

Louis is even quoted backstage before a Dublin show boasting: ‘I have never seen either of them in a bad mood.’

The official book also reveals that in their first flush of fame Louis put the brakes on a proposed appearance for the twins on Celebrity Big Brother in 2010, stating: ‘They just weren’t prepared to give us enough money.’

He bragged by April 2010 that he was turning down countless jobs for Jedward as the money rolled in with the pair booked solid for months.

Louis said: ‘Everyone wanted them, from Celebrity Big Brother to huge magazines, and we have just had to turn down so many people.

‘They can’t be everywhere so we have to go with the best offers for them and things that are going to stand for John and Edward, long-term.

‘They are now signed to Next Models and this is going to be huge for them. If they weren’t pop stars, then they could easily be models – anyone can see that.’

But the brothers would go on CBB a year later – 2011 – alongside when they finished third and became best pals with US actress Tara Reid in the process.

Louis – who once claimed he turned down a million pounds to go in the I’m A Celebrity jungle – then followed suit by going into the house this year.

While furore over Louis’ comments continues to build outside the house, fears have been sparked that he could quit CBB following close friend Sharon’s exit.

It has been claimed Louis had made it clear he would not sign up for the show without Sharon – meaning he is now at risk of walking.

Sharon was in the house for a week as a ‘Celebrity Lodger’ and headed home on Tuesday night’s live show. It is thought she has been paid £500,000 for the stint.

If Louis does leave, he will still reportedly receive his full fee which is believed to be a whopping six figures.

A source told The Sun of his potential exit: ‘Louis would only go into the show with Sharon booked in there with him. CBB pulled out all the stops to make it happen.

‘They know Louis is a flight risk now Sharon is gone and no one would be surprised if he left. Louis will still receive his full fee, so he has nothing to lose.

‘Without Sharon he will be lost as they have such a close friendship in the house. Everyone is on high alert for Louis to throw in the towel, but he’s making such good television, the producers are praying that he will stay.’

A former U.S. ambassador to Bolivia accused of spying for Cuba for four decades told a judge Thursday that he sensationally admitted to the charges and said he had been gathering information for the rogue state since 1981.

Victor Manuel Rocha, 73, was arrested in December for what U.S. officials called “one of the most far-reaching and longest infiltrations of the U.S. government by a foreign agent.”

Rocha pleaded not guilty two weeks ago to charges of conspiracy to act as an agent of a foreign government, but he told Judge Beth Bloom during a pre-trial conference Thursday that he wanted to change his plea.

The court set a date of April 12 for Rocha to formally change his plea to guilty and for sentencing.

Rocha was appointed to Bolivia in 2000 by then-President Bill Clinton.

Victor Manuel Rocha, 73, was arrested in December for what U.S. officials called “one of the most far-reaching and longest infiltrations of the U.S. government by a foreign agent.”

Rocha's wife, Karla Wittkop Rocha (left), declined to comment when contacted by AP.

Rocha’s wife, Karla Wittkop Rocha (left), declined to comment when contacted by AP. “I don’t need to talk to you,” she said before hanging up

Rocha, a naturalized U.S. citizen originally from Colombia, is believed to have started helping Havana in 1981 as a secret agent for Cuba’s Directorate General of Intelligence (DGI), and according to U.S. authorities, his espionage activities continued until his arrest.

Rocha lived in the Miami area with his wife, graphic designer Karla Wittkop Rocha. The couple has two adult children together.

Attorney General Merrick Garland said in announcing Rocha’s arrest that he had “repeatedly referred to the United States as ‘the enemy’ and “repeatedly bragged about the significance of his efforts.”

Rocha joined the State Department in 1981 and rose through the ranks as a career diplomat, also holding posts in Havana, Buenos Aires, Mexico City, the Dominican Republic and Washington.

Rocha served on the National Security Council from 1994 to 1995 under President Bill Clinton’s administration and served as ambassador to Bolivia from 2000 to 2002 under Clinton and George W. Bush. He also served as an advisor to the US military command responsible for Cuba.

The indictment against Rocha details how, during multiple meetings with an undercover FBI agent beginning in November 2022, he “acted like a Cuban agent,” praising the late leader of the communist-ruled island Fidel Castro and using “the term ‘we’ used to describe themselves and Cuba.’

He admitted that he had traveled to Havana in 2016 or 2017 to meet his DGI handlers and asked the undercover agent to send “my warmest regards to the Direccion,” referring to the DGI.

Other Americans arrested for leaking secrets to Havana include Walter Kendall Myers and Gwendolyn Myers, who were indicted in 2009 on charges of nearly three decades of spying for Cuba.

Rocha also faces a lawsuit filed Thursday in Florida by the widow of Cuban dissident Oswaldo Paya.

She claims Rocha was responsible for the death of her late husband, the winner of the European Parliament’s 2002 Sakharov Prize for Human Rights, in a car crash in Cuba in 2012.

A court document alleges that “the Cuban terrorist dictatorship murdered Mr. Paya with impunity” as a direct result of Roche’s “actions as a covert agent for the Cuban terrorist dictatorship and its intelligence gathering mission against the United States.”

Another Cuban dissident, Harold Cepero, also died in the same car accident, while two others in the vehicle survived: Spanish politician Angel Carromero and Swedish conservative politician Jens Aron Modig.

Cuban authorities blamed Carromero, who was driving, but he claims the car was hit by a Cuban secret service vehicle.

In a report published last June, the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) concluded that Cuban state agents were involved in the dissidents’ deaths.

“I am seeking what I have always sought: for the truth, for justice and for the regime and its accomplices” to “stop acting with impunity,” Paya’s widow Ofelia Acevedo said in a statement.

Lauryn Goodman has been spotted for the first time since she branded Kyle Walker  a ‘pathological liar’ and branded the footballer ‘deluded’.

In a rare interview about his personal life, Walker was close to tears on the weekend as he confessed his two-year marriage to Annie Kilner is in tatters after he was named as the father of Goodman’s five-month old daughter.

While he insisted the affair was not a proper relationship, Goodman, 33, was quick to claim the footballer was lying, taking to Instagram on Monday to share a post detailing the definition of a ‘pathological narcissist’, who spend their lives ‘lying’ and ‘gaslighting’ those around them.

Meanwhile, Goodman’s representatives exclusively told MailOnline that she was ‘disappointed by his deluded version of events. ‘

Goodman appeared to be feeling the strain on Monday as she was spotted out in Hove after returning from the Dominican Republic with the two children she shares with Walker.

Lauryn Goodman has been spotted for the first time since she branded Kyle Walker a ‘pathological liar’ and branded the footballer ‘deluded’

Walker had claimed there was ‘no relationship’ between the pair, saying: ‘to have a relationship with someone… would she even know how many sugars I have in my coffee, if I have sugars? She couldn’t tell you.’

Yet the mother-of-two refuted this, sharing a ‘there are receipts’ meme while pointedly writing: ‘Flat white no sugars please’ in a nod to Walker’s comments.

Goodman’s representative told MailOnline: ‘While she does not want to get into the details of everything he has said at this stage, she is disappointed by his deluded version of events – which is dramatically different to her own recollection of their long-standing, intimate, loving and affectionate relationship.

‘Having read back through many years of messages sent between them to assure herself that her memory is accurate, she is confused as to how he has seemingly forgotten their many highly personal conversations and memories made with their children as a family.

‘The story that he is putting out to the public is not the reality.’

Prior to welcoming a daughter, Walker, 33, had already fathered a son, three year-old Kairo, with Goodman following an earlier separation from Kilner in 2020.

Goodman had dropped hints at her daughter’s paternity to the public and reached out to Kilner, 30, via Instagram message just after Christmas to let her know that her husband was the father of her second child.

Walker then moved out from his family home in Cheshire and is spending enforced time away from his three children with Kilner, who is currently pregnant with their fourth.

He told The Sun: ‘What I’ve done is horrible and I take full responsibility. I made idiot choices and idiot decisions. I can’t begin to think or imagine what Annie is going through. I’ve tried to ask her but there’s pain and hurt.

‘The man that’s meant to love, care and be there for her, did this.’

Walker, who is expected to play a pivotal role for Gareth Southgate’s England at the European Championships in June, admits he wanted to ‘curl up in a ball’ after his relationship with Goodman came to light in January.

He added: ‘When I met Annie at 17, I never envisaged my private life being like this. I never thought I would be a father of six.

‘The only person to blame is me. I have roles and responsibilities that I’m aware of and I’ve made stupid choices. But I need to own up to my mistakes — I owe it to everyone.

‘My actions have caused a lot of pain to a lot of people. I’m sorry because, as a family, this isn’t meant to happen.’

In 2020 Goodman confirmed the father of her oldest child, son Kairo, was Walker and the footballer broke the news to his devastated wife hours before it went public.

He moved out of the family home to rental accommodation in nearby Hale, Cheshire before Kilner agreed to take him back, with Walker agreeing to sever all contact with Goodman beyond his ongoing financial commitments.

In August 2022 though Goodman revealed she was planning to relocate closer to Walker with son Kairo. Walker explained how he met her at a solicitors’ office to try to stop the move, which was when met his son for the first time and the couple resumed contact.

In early October 2022, the footballer travelled to London for groin surgery and met Goodman. He confirmed the pair ended up sleeping together.

Weeks later Goodman broke the news she was pregnant again, with Walker revealing he almost ‘fainted’ when she called during a training session.

Walker kept Goodman’s pregnancy a secret from his wife and has said it was Kilner’s own pregnancy which was ‘the straw that broke the camel’s back.’

While her footballer husband was away with his club, Goodman messaged Kilner on December 27 2023, revealing the truth about their relationship and the parentage of her second child.

Kilner, who is expecting her fourth child with the footballer, announced they would be separating earlier this month after 13 years.

The footballer has since moved out of their £2.5million home in Prestbury while Kilner remains at the property with their three sons.

‘My little boy goes to sleep with me every night and to not have him… I’m used to being away for long periods of time with England,’ he said, his voice breaking.

‘We say goodnight on FaceTime. But to know that I’m not with him because of my mistake – mistake is probably the wrong word, my choices  – that’s what pains me.’

The split was confirmed days before MailOnline revealed he was the father of Goodman’s daughter, known only as ‘KW’.

The 81-cap England international originally broke his silence by apologising to his wife for the ‘upset’ he’d caused her, a nod to his numerous cheating scandals.

Speaking on Sunday, he told The Sun: ‘How could I hurt someone I love so much? That’s something I need to find in myself.

‘I need to find out why I have done this and why situations have occurred. I am human and I’ve made mistakes on and off the field.’

Killner was last spotted heading to a Cheshire gym on January 19, still not wearing her wedding ring, as she continued to take time out of the relationship.

MailOnline can reveal that Walker is fighting to save his marriage. The pair tied the knot in November 2021, but he continues to live apart from his wife after she kicked him out of their £2.4million marital home.

He will be attending all of her future baby scans and continues to be present for their three children.

And Walker’s bid for a reconciliation with Kilner is further boosted by the fact she has yet to speak to any legal representatives about a future divorce.

A source close to the couple said: ‘Annie hasn’t spoken to one lawyer. At the moment, she’s concentrating on herself, her kids and ensuring her pregnancy runs smoothly.

‘The longer she goes without seeking legal assistance, it gives Kyle hope he can win her over again.’

Walker lavished Goodman with expensive gifts, whisked her away to five star hotels and even introduced her to his Manchester City team mates on FaceTime, MailOnline has been told.

Walker, who has split from wife Kilner after she learned he had fathered Goodman’s daughter, also hoped that he could juggle both families without being caught out.

One friend of Goodman’s even claims he mistakenly called her Annie on the night their second child was conceived.

The new revelations come after sources close to Walker insisted that their affair was short lived and brief following the news that Annie is pregnant with their fourth child together.

However, friends of the influencer have hit back, saying that the relationship spanned some years.

The friend said: ‘Kyle and Lauryn did a lot together. There was one night that they went to London for a night out together and he paid for them to stay at the Four Seasons Hotel.

‘Kyle told Lauryn that he loved her and they spent a lot of time watching videos of Kairo together.

‘Then not long afterwards they went to Cheshire and stayed at an AirBnB for a week, on the banks of a lake. Annie was supposed to be away and the plan was for Kyle to be staying with him.

‘Annie didn’t go away though so Kyle had to go back and forth every day, though Annie kept questioning him about his whereabouts. It was like a family trip with Kairo and of course there was a lot of romance.’

Walker, who has three sons with Kilner, also paid for Goodman to go to the Maldives with Kairo while she was expecting their daughter.

A source added: ‘There was lots of FaceTiming between him and Lauryn, there was even phone sex together.

‘Lauryn was pregnant and was sending him bump and scan pics. They already knew that Lauryn was expecting a girl as they had done an early scan.’

Walker also allegedly funded a trip to Cancun in Mexico for Goodman and their son.

Sources also say that far from trying to keep Goodman a secret, he introduced her to his team mates Jack Grealish and Phil Foden while they were away in Europe celebrating Manchester City winning the treble.

A friend told MailOnline: ‘After they won there was obviously a lot of excitement, they were away partying so they were all on a high. Then Kyle FaceTimed Lauryn while he was with Jack Grealish and Phil Foden.

‘Lauryn was taken aback. Phil went onto the phone and saw Kairo. He commented to Kyle about how beautiful he is.’

While away with England last summer, Walker also FaceTimed Goodman to say: ‘I love you, but sometimes you make me hate you.’

Their relationship was so strong that during the World Cup in Qatar which took place in November- December 2022 shortly after Goodman became pregnant for the second time, Walker FaceTimed Goodman on a daily basis from the team hotel – on one occasion after an evening with his teammates he told her that he loved her.

He took a World Cup football home for Kairo and bought him a £700 Moncler jacket for Christmas and last April he bought Kairo an iPad and several outdoor toys for his birthday, the source added.

Sources close to Goodman also claim that Walker would say to her that he would want to get ‘everything in place for all of the kids.’ At one point he told her: ‘Money isn’t everything for me. My life is over.’

Walker, who is living in a flat close to his family home in Prestbury, Cheshire, would also beg Goodman to keep their secret romance – and their children quiet.

The friend said: ‘Kyle would say to Lauryn that it should stay between the two of them, that they had done that in the past and it is best for everyone if it is kept quiet.

‘Kyle promised to be there for Lauryn and that he would juggle the two families.

‘Lauryn would often tell him to leave her alone, that he was only around when he wanted something. The whole thing is a mess.’

Walker and Kilner married in secret in 2021 after a decade together. They have three sons.

Announcing their separation in January, Kilner told Instagram followers: ‘Sadly, after many years of marriage and three wonderful children together, I have decided to take some time away from Kyle.

‘I do not wish to comment on the position any further. For now, I ask that the privacy of myself and my three young children be respected during this difficult time.’

It is understood that both are now both being represented by PR guru Rachel Monk, who helped guide Coleen Rooney through her High Court trial with Rebekah Vardy.

Kilner has also enlisted the services of litigator and sports lawyer Paul Lunt.

A Jamaican MP who posed with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at a film premiere this week warned just months ago that it was ‘time to say goodbye’ to the monarchy.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex joined Marlene Malahoo Forte, minister for legal and constitutional affairs, in Kingston to promote new Bob Marley movie One Love.

It comes eight months after Mrs Forte said Jamaica could ‘sever ties’ with Britain’s monarchy by the end of 2024 and the nation’s future should be ‘in Jamaican hands’.

She also criticised the Royal Family’s ‘own set of issues internally’, said Jamaicans in the UK had suffered from ‘racist’ policies and claimed that people in her country ‘do not identify with King Charles – he is as foreign as it gets to us, plain and simple’.

And back in June 2016, Mrs Forte also hit the headlines when she criticised the US Embassy in Jamaica for flying a rainbow flag following the deadly mass shooting at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida – saying it was ‘disrespectful of Jamaica’s laws’.

But her post on Twitter – which was later removed – received a huge backlash online, including from the US Embassy itself which replied: ‘We’re listening. Explain the legal reasoning? It was an attack of terror !!and!! hate, targeting the LGBT community.’

After her appearance on the red carpet with Harry and Meghan on Tuesday night, Mrs Forte later tweeted a photo of the trio, prompting an X user to say: ‘Even more hilarious: the person with them here is the minister in charge of changing the constitution and making us a republic.’ Ms Forte replied, saying: ‘This is #OneLove!

She also met Prince William and Kate during their visit in March 2022, saying at the time that they were both ‘very charming and extremely delightful to interact with’.

During Harry and Meghan’s surprise appearance on Tuesday night, they were also photographed with Jamaican prime minister Andrew Holness, who is pushing ahead with plans to make the nation a republic.

He told the now-Prince and Princess of Wales during their 2022 tour that his country is ‘moving on’ and intends to ‘fulfil our true ambitions and destiny as an independent, developed, prosperous country’.

Also at the time of that trip, Mrs Forte tweeted a picture of her meeting William and Kate, saying: ‘#RoyalVisitJamaica HRH the #DukeofCambridge asked me what my work involved as Minister of Legal and Constitutional Affairs.

‘I will say this much: I found them both very charming and extremely delightful to interact with.’

Last May, Mrs Forte told Sky News ahead of the King’s Coronation that an ‘urgent’ referendum could be held as early as 2024 to ‘sever ties’ and remove Charles as Jamaica’s monarch.

She claimed that republicanism is ‘about us saying goodbye to a form of government that is linked to a painful past of colonialism and the transatlantic slave trade’.

Mrs Forte said in an interview with Sky News in May 2023 that Jamaica could 'sever ties' with Britain's monarchy by the end of 2024 and the nation's future should be 'in Jamaican hands'

During the May 2023 interview with Sky News, Mrs Forte criticised the Royal Family's 'own set of issues internally', said Jamaicans in the UK had suffered from 'racist' policies and claimed that people in her country 'do not identify with King Charles - he is as foreign as it gets to us'

Mrs Forte said Jamaica was looking to write a new constitution, adding: ‘The people of Jamaica are saying the time has come. Jamaica in Jamaican hands.

‘We have to get it done, especially with the transition in the monarchy. My government is saying we have to do it now. Time to say goodbye.’

The former attorney general said: ‘A lot of Jamaicans had warm affection and identified with Queen Elizabeth II.

‘When Jamaica became independent, Queen Elizabeth was already on the throne.

‘But they do not identify with King Charles. He is as foreign as it gets to us. Plain and simple.’

Mrs Forte also said Jamaica’s desire was partially influenced by the Royal Family’s ‘own set of issues internally’ – adding that these ‘issues’ had been ‘playing out in the news’.

And she said William’s acknowledgment of slavery but lack of apology during the 2022 tour was ‘a step in the right direction, but not far enough at all’.

In June 2016, Mrs Forte also hit the headlines when she criticised the US Embassy in Jamaica for flying a rainbow flag following the shooting at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida - saying it was 'disrespectful of Jamaica's laws'. This tweet from the embassy at the time shows the flag

During William and Kate’s visit in 2022, protesters held signs during the visit demanding the pair apologise for slavery – and at a formal state dinner, William expressed ‘profound sorrow’.

But he stopped short of a formal apology, as did his father, Charles, who spoke of his ‘personal sorrow at the suffering of so many’ in an address to Commonwealth leaders later that year.

Charles also acknowledged growing republican sentiment in some Commonwealth nations and said it was for them to decide their constitutional arrangements.

The Windrush scandal that emerged in 2017, in which hundreds of immigrants to Britain were detained or deported after living there for years, has added to the grievances of those in Jamaica.

Mrs Forte told Sky News: ‘Jamaicans living in the United Kingdom have experienced the worst of policies that can be regarded as racist.

‘Windrush was personal for our people. Personal. Many [affected] are our families, our friends, our people.

‘Unfortunately, the UK government got it so wrong. For people who went there to build up the wealth [of Britain]. The policies are racist and unjust – by virtue of nationality, ethnic background, and the colour of your skin. It’s just not right.’

Mrs Forte became minister of legal and constitutional affairs in January 2022, having previously served as attorney general, health minister and foreign affairs minister.

She has studied in both Britain and the US – gaining a law master’s degree from King’s College London as well as a master’s in public administration from Harvard.

Jamaica, which is a former colony of Britain, has begun the process to sever ties with the British monarchy, following in the footsteps of Barbados.

Its history of slavery and a plantation economy made some Britons wealthy but left many Jamaicans impoverished.

Jamaica first came into England’s hands in 1655 when it was seized from Spain, which had brought over the first Africans as slaves.

It gained independence in 1962 but retained the British monarch as head of state and stayed in the Commonwealth.

Waves of immigration to Britain kept the links alive as did an affection for Queen Elizabeth II, who was on the throne at the time of independence.

But even before her death in September 2022, republican sentiment was increasingly gripping the Caribbean region.

Barbados ditched the monarchy in 2021. Antigua and Barbuda, Belize, and the Bahamas have all expressed an interest in cutting ties with the British crown, while Trinidad and Tobago and Dominica are already republics.

When he assumed the crown on his mother’s death, Charles became head of state not only of Britain but 14 other realms, including Canada, Australia and Jamaica.

In order to become a republic Jamaica’s Constitution requires a 2/3 majority in both the elected and nominated Houses of Parliament and a simple majority in a general referendum.

However, if it obtains a 2/3 majority in the elected House but only a simple majority in the nominated House it will require a 2/3 majority of the electorate in a referendum.

About 600,000 Africans were brought to Jamaica as slaves between the 15th and 19th centuries to work on sugar, cotton and banana plantations.

The British government was involved in the Atlantic slave trade and reimbursed plantation owners for the loss of labour that occurred when slavery was outlawed in 1834.

And while to audiences it might look similar on the surface, it’s been tumultuous few years behind the scenes following a bombshell report in the Los Angeles Times.

The 2021 report found that there were no black members in the Hollywood Foreign Press Association – which votes on the awards.

Stars and studios boycotted the Globes and NBC refused to air it in 2022 as a result.

In June, billionaire Todd Boehly was granted approval to dissolve the HFPA and reinvent the Golden Globes as a for-profit organization.

Its assets were acquired by Boehly’s Eldridge Industries, along with Dick Clark Productions, a group that is owned by Penske Media whose assets also include Variety, Deadline, The Hollywood Reporter, Rolling Stone and Billboard.

In mid-November, CBS announced that it would air the ceremony on the network on Jan. 7. It will also stream on Paramount+.

The group nominating and voting for the awards is now made up of a more diverse group of over 300 people from around the world.

Matty Edgell was crowned the winner of this year’s Great British Bake Off on Tuesday.

In Tuesday’s grand final, Matty beat off stiff competition from fellow finalists Dan, 42, and Josh, 27, to triumph in the choux pastry signature bake challenge and the celebration cake showstopper.

After host Alison Hammond announced Matty winner of the show, Dan and Josh ran up to him to give him a hug.

Matty said: ‘People said I should go on Bake Off and I never really listened to it. I never thought I’d get on it, let alone win it!’

He added: ‘There’s been so many ups, there’s been so many downs. There’s been so many times when I’ve had to be pulled through it by the people around me… It still doesn’t feel real.’

Matty Edgell was crowned the winner of this year’s Great British Bake Off on Tuesday after impressing with his showstopper

Dan said: ‘I had a feeling Matty was going to win… I’m so happy for him.’

‘Without a shadow of doubt I was the official underdog throughout the series so I think everyone was surprised when I made it to the final and then won it, including me,’ he said after his win.

He added: ‘I hope GBBO might just change my life a little bit, but being a PE teacher is something I really enjoy at the moment.

‘I loved being in the tent and another of my happiest life moments was when I got engaged in Sorrento to my fiancée Lara.

‘I am not sure what’s next for me, but my next big baking project is making our wedding cake. I am just going to keep enjoying it.’

Talking about being crowned star baker during chocolate week and party week, he said: ‘I don’t think the power of being star baker can be understated.

‘It was a huge confidence boost for me in week four as the imposter syndrome was in full force at that stage.

‘Being told I was star baker gave me a bit of reassurance that I probably needed.

‘Getting it again on party week was also really important for me, again, giving me the confidence I needed going into the semi-final.’

Judge Prue Leith said she had never met a ‘more cheerful , smiling uncomplaining and willing baker’ who just ‘had such a good time’ and learnt ‘as much as he could’.

Post-doctoral research associate Josh, who was crowned star baker during the semi-final show, said the final was like three friends ‘entering the tent for a final time’.

The 27-year-old from Leicestershire said: ‘The nerves were actually all right.

‘I was just so proud of myself and the journey I had made en route to the final, with so many bakes behind me, there was really nothing to worry about.

‘Like every other week, I mounted a lot of pressure on myself to try and deliver the best bake I could on the day and be proud of what I’ve made.

‘Throughout the series it never really felt like a competition.

‘All 12 of us are winners just making it to the tent itself. We all know the journey we made to get to the tent so when it came to actually baking, it was just like baking alongside your best friends.

'Without a shadow of doubt I was the official underdog throughout the series so I think everyone was surprised when I made it to the final and then won it,' Matty said after winning

‘For the final, it was exactly the same – three friends entering the tent for a final time.’

Civil engineering resource planner Dan, from Cheshire, said the final ‘felt really surreal’.

‘Knowing I had actually made it this far, never did I imagine it happening, it was such a proud moment for me and my family,’ the 42-year-old said.

Meanwhile, it wasn’t just Matty’s baking ability that made an impression on this year’s Great British Bake Off, he also appeared to have made quite an impact on new host Alison Hammond.

Some viewers believed Alison, who made her debut in the tent this year alongside Noel Fielding, was enamoured with Matty and had spent the series flirting with him.

The Cambridgeshire-born PE and science teacher certainly seems to have won the affections of the This Morning host, who viewers believe has a crush on him.

Alison, who is single since splitting with landscape gardener Ben Hawkins earlier this year, was said by those watching at home to be so taken with Matty that they compared Bake Off to a dating show.

‘Alison and Matty are in love and I cannot blame them,’ said one viewer, while another wrote: ‘Alison coming on to Matty is better than any dating show we’ve ever watched.’

Meanwhile, one fan says he hopes that the This Morning host, 48, and Matty have a future together, saying: ‘When they do the “What the contestants have been up to” segment, I hope Matty and Alison have run away and opened a patisserie in the south of France.’

Aliso’s flirtations with Matty became a talking point not just for viewers but also those who worked on the show.

One insider said: ‘When it was recorded earlier this year, we all knew that the chemistry would become a thing.’

Alison isn’t the only one to take a shine to Matty – the show’s fans have also been smitten.

One wrote: ‘Sexy Matty having the best sausage rolls… Matty’s sausage wins.’

A video reveals the moment a woman throws a hot cup of coffee at a man wearing a Palestinian scarf and his child at a Brooklyn playground – labeling them terrorists.

The playground fight reportedly started when an unknown woman confronted 40-year-old Ashish Prashar on a basketball court in Brooklyn on Tuesday while he was with his son.

Prashar told Dailymail.com that his 18-month-old son was playing basketball with the woman’s child when she came up to him and asked if Prashar supported Hamas.

When Prashar told the woman he didn’t want to answer, she started shouting at him to get away from her and her child.

“She very aggressively told me to get out of here, my son was behind me,” he said.

This prompted Prashar to take out his phone and film the woman as she approached him, throwing a cup of coffee and her phone in his direction.

Ashish Prashar told Dailymail.com that his 18-month-old son was playing basketball with the woman’s child when she approached and asked if Prashar supported Hamas.

When Prashar told the woman he didn't want to answer, she started shouting at him to get away from her and her child.

When Prashar told the woman he didn’t want to answer, she started shouting at him to get away from her and her child.

Prashar claims the woman called him a terrorist before throwing the drink, but the video only captures the part where she says, “Go away, go away, get away from me.”

When Prashar stopped recording, he said the woman continued to approach him and hit him on the hand several times.

“When someone asks you a proactive question, they’re not looking for a real answer,” he said. “I wanted to de-escalate.”

“I am saddened that my son was the target of a hate crime at the age of 18,” he said. “He knew something was wrong, he knew something wasn’t right. I held him there and told him he was loved.”

Prashar is originally from London and has previously served time in prison. He now works as a political strategist and criminal justice activist. He said he currently works for an organization calling for a ceasefire in Israel.

Prashar said politicians are responsible for creating tension in the city in the wake of the Oct. 7 Hamas attack — and urged state and federal leaders to tone down the “good versus evil” narrative.

The woman, wearing sweatpants and a black and white baseball cap, has not yet been identified and police are offering a reward of up to $3,500 for any information leading to her arrest. No other witnesses have come forward yet.

The incident happened around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday at Edmonds Playground on DeKalb Ave in Fort Greene.

Prashar told CNN: “She threw her hot coffee in my face. I had just put my son to sleep. It would have hit him in the face. I was stunned.’

The father wore a keffiyeh scarf, a popular Middle Eastern headscarf.

“My whole goal was to protect my son,” Prashar added. ‘At first there was disbelief when she called me a terrorist. But then it got worse and more serious. I had to protect my son and keep him at a safe distance.’

Hate crimes, especially a rise in anti-Semitism, have increased dramatically since the Hamas terrorist attack in Israel on October 7.

There were at least 82 anti-Semitic incidents in New York City between Oct. 7 and Monday, compared to 31 during the same period last year.

There have been four incidents involving Palestinians or where the attackers believed to be Palestinian, Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny told the Daily News.

Last month, a six-year-old boy, Wadea Al-Fayoume, was killed by landlord Joseph M. Czuba, 71, who rented the family a room in his home in Plainfield, Illinois.

The boy’s mother, Hanan Shaheen, survived the attack and later told police how Czuba showed up at their door and uttered hateful, anti-Muslim insults.

According to ADL, anti-Semitism has risen 388 percent since the brutal massacre in Israel.

Last week, an elderly Jewish protester in California died after allegedly being hit with a megaphone by a pro-Palestinian protester, which police classified as a murder.

Paul Kessler, 69, was caught in a violent clash with pro-Palestinian protesters in Thousand Oaks on Sunday when he fell backwards and hit his head.

Video shows him lying on the ground in his final moments, bleeding from his head. Moments later, the pro-Palestinian demonstrators continued their demonstration, while the blood was still wet.

The man police have questioned in connection with his death is a 50-year-old university professor, DailyMail.com can reveal.

Loay Alnaji, who teaches computer science at Ventura Community College in California, allegedly knocked Paul Kessler to the ground with a bullhorn.

Police raided his home on a quiet cul-de-sac in Moorpark, California, on Sunday evening, we have learned.

“My husband was coming home from Costco when he saw a SWAT team, six officers with guns and full gear. Their vehicles were not police cars, they were unmarked,” neighbor Milli Revezzo told DailyMail.com.

Alnaji is unapologetic in his support for the Palestinian cause, posting a video online in which activist Shahid King Bolsen compares the terrorist group Hamas to historic icons of civil rights.

“If someone asked me to condemn Hamas, I would say: what’s the rush?” says Bolsen in the video posted on Instagram. ‘Let’s let history decide.

“You condemned Nelson Mandela until you didn’t, until he became a hero,” he adds. “You condemned Mahatma Gandhi until you didn’t.”

Hamas tortured, raped, kidnapped and murdered innocent babies, women, men and the elderly during their terrorist attack on October 7.

Hamas massacred 1,400 Israelis and kidnapped more than 200 civilians – including at least 13 American citizens and 23 Thai farm workers.

The Hamas co-founder vowed to cleanse the world of Christianity. He called for a world without Zionism or treacherous Christianity, saying full Islamic control of the planet will guarantee justice.

Hamas’s founding documents clearly state Hamas’s intentions regarding “genocidal ideology.”

‘The entire 510 million square kilometers of planet Earth will perish [a system] where there is no injustice, no oppression, no Zionism, no treacherous Christianity…,” said Hamas co-founder Mahmoud al-Zahar.

Channel 4’s shiny new cooking show has been labeled ‘pretentious’, ‘tin-eared’ and ‘obscene’ for showcasing meals costing tens of thousands of pounds amid the cost of living crisis.

Five Star Kitchen, which aired last night, follows the contestants as they try to impress a panel of judges including Ravneet Gill, Michel Roux and Mike Reid with outrageously expensive dishes.

Last night’s episode featured a £21,000 taco from Mexico and a £1,700 pizza from New York as examples of the “pure luxury” the competitors should be emulating.

But viewers watching at home slammed the show on Twitter, calling it “out of touch” in the wake of the cost-of-living crisis.

As the show’s second episode kicked off last night, the judges encouraged contestants to use expensive ingredients to market their food to upper-class diners who had cash to spare.

Airing last night on Channel 4, Five Star Kitchen follows contestants as they try to impress a panel of judges including Ravneet Gill, Michel Roux and Mike Reid with outrageously expensive dishes but left viewers hungry for more – as some put it’ pretentious’. ,’ and ‘tin eared’. “Today is all about money,” said pastry chef and restaurant consultant Ravneet Gill.

Luxury hotels like this are playgrounds for the rich and famous. Money is not a problem for them,” she added.

The chef added that contestants had to use the “best ingredients money can buy” to “attract diners who just want to splurge and create buzz around their menus.”

Global restaurateur Mike Reid explained that the contestants had to find that one dish that “exudes pure luxury” to stand out from other restaurants.

“Think of New York’s 24-karat pizza, which costs just under £2,000,” he said, referring to Industry Kitchen’s £1,700 pizza, which is inspired by Wall Street and covered in gold leaf.

“On to the Grand Velas taco from Mexico, which is wrapped in a gold-infused tortilla,” he said of the delicacy served at the Grand Velas Los Cabos resort for the super-rich.

The taco, which is made from a gold-infused tortilla and topped with gold leaf, is considered the most expensive taco in the world.

Both dishes went viral in 2017 thanks to their eye-watering prices.

“These dishes will make your brand stand out,” Mike added.

During the episode, contestants tried to come up with the most insanely expensive dishes they could think of.

A restaurateur told the judges she hoped to charge the customer £2,500 for a canned caviar ceviche served on an ice sculpture of a mermaid.

Meanwhile, a chef named Jordan drew derision from the judges when he revealed he hoped to sell a yellowfin tuna blue corn taco for an eye-watering £500.

But for viewers watching at home, the show left a lot to be desired and failed to impress with its painful pricing.

‘Channel 4 peak viewing tonight – 8pm Five Star Kitchen’s task of making the most expensive dish (example being a taco costing thousands of pounds); 9 p.m. Britain’s most expensive houses. Lost contact?’ asked one.

Five Star Kitchen on Channel 4 is a one-star serving of pretentious food and huge egos. Also vulgar in a crisis of the cost of living. When is MasterChef back on?’ said another.

Viewers called out Channel 4 for broadcasting the show, saying they couldn't read the room as several families across the country are dealing with the difficult financial climate

“What a bunch of pretentious bastards,” said one.

“I can’t help thinking that in a country where there is so much disadvantage [people] are unable to buy the basics to feed themselves, the presentation of dishes costing many thousands of pounds for a single course is woefully guilty of rough ears,” said another.

Good God Channel 4, the average person doesn’t have the money for this kind of food. Absolutely ridiculous,” said one.

‘Here I struggle to feed my family and there are shows like this!! Who thought commissioning this show would be a good idea?’ asked one.

And one person even argued that the person who commissioned the show should be fired because he was “tone-deaf in the current climate.”

They argued, “Parents can’t afford to feed their kids and peddle it with a $25,000 taco.”

Femail has contacted Channel 4 for comment.
