The teenage sweethearts tied the knot the same year and had three children.

But last night Cassey confirmed at their country pile, complete with airstrip, that they are no longer living together.

Racing madman Matt, 34, has been on a date in his Maserati with new interest Amy Cox, with the pair sharing selfies outside the London Eye and on a ski trip.

He was seen picking up the mother-of-three from a £130,000 terraced house owned by her father, a builder in a village near Lincoln.

She drives a £5,000 VW Tiguan and a neighbor said: “I don’t think she has ever worked because she is busy looking after her children, who are all toddlers.

“She’s had a few boyfriends, so it would be like that Nice if she found happiness with Matt.

‘I don’t know how they met. We don’t see them outside very often.”

Another resident told us: “We had no idea he was a lottery winner. He gets around in his Maserati, so he must still have a few bumps.”

Details behind the split are sketchy, although Matt shared a cryptic message on social media in August saying, “Sometimes no matter how kind, gentle, caring and loving you are, it’s just not good enough for some people.”

In 2021, Matt was given a 16-week suspended prison sentence after admitting reckless driving following the death of Mary Regler, 75, in a car crash in North Cockerington, Lincs, two years earlier.

Matt last shared a photo of him and Cassey in July 2021 – four months after the sentencing at Lincoln Crown court.

Cassey has not made any public posts on social media since about the same time.

Last year, The Sun told how a zoo the couple bought in 2020 – Rushmoor Country Park in Louth, Lincs – had been ‘closed’ due to financial strains.

Questioned about the split yesterday, Cassey told The Sun: “Matt doesn’t live here anymore.”

When asked if she wanted to say anything about the breakup, she replied: “No, thank you.”

Making millions from the lottery isn’t banking on saving relationships – with several jackpot winners splitting.

They include Adrian and Gillian Bayford from Suffolk, who split 15 months after raking in a whopping £148million in 2012.

A year earlier, Scottish duo Colin and Christine Weir won £161 million. They divorced after 38 years of marriage, shortly before Colin’s death in 2019.

Karl Crompton, from Fylde, Lancs, won £11million in 1996 but his wife Nicole left him in 2020. And at least three more lottery-winning couples have split since then.

Blue’s Clues star Steve Burns has been praised for fans ‘checking in’ with them following the docuseries Quiet On Set: The Dark Side of Kids, in which Drake Bell detailed his childhood sexual abuse.

Drake & Josh star Bell, 37, identified himself as the minor who harassed dialogue coach Brian Peck on the Investigation Discovery series.

Registered sex offender Peck, 63, served 16 months in prison from 2004 to 2005 after being arrested on 11 charges – including sodomy, lewd acts on a child aged 14 or 15 by a person 10 years older, and oral copulation through anesthesia or controlled substances.

Burns, 50, who was the original host of the Nickelodeon children’s television show Blue’s Clues from 1996 to 2002, took to TikTok this week in a video saying, “Hey, I’m checking in.” Tell me, what’s going on?’

Burns — who was not referenced in the docuseries, then sat silently nodding as if listening to someone — as fans praised him for his empathy.

One wrote: “Thanks for being one of the GOOD parts of Nickelodeon, Steve,” while another typed: “Steve checking up on the now grown children he left behind is another full circle moment.”

Others wrote, “After the Nickelodeon thing, we need our Steve now more than ever,” “I feel like he knew the Nickelodeon fans needed this after the documentary came out. And this is the best answer: how are you? Are you OK?’

“Not that I’m sitting in bed in tears at almost 3am because Steve from Blues Clues shows up on my fyp and asks what’s going on? The only thing we have left is purely from our childhood.’

The four-part docuseries from Mary Robertson and Emma Schwartz describes Brian as “one of the cogs in the Dan Schneider machine,” as the Nickelodeon executive producer oversaw the crew accused of abuse, sexism, racism and inappropriate behavior on the set.

“That was probably the darkest part of my career,” the 58-year-old Emmy nominee — who left Nickelodeon in 2018 — admitted in a 19-minute DanWarp YouTube video on Tuesday.

‘Waiting the last two nights has been very difficult. I am confronted with my past behavior, some of which is shameful and which I regret. I definitely owe some people a pretty strong apology.”

Brian was also an associate of canceled director Bryan Singer, who infamously hosted Hollywood parties full of underage boys, and his career ended in 2019 after he faced a slew of sexual abuse allegations.

Sadly, Bell continued the cycle of abuse by pleading guilty to ‘attempted endangerment’ in 2021 [of] children and distributing material harmful to young people.’

The Princess of Wales today said she is ‘doing well’ as she bravely opened up about her cancer diagnosis.

Kate Middleton, 42, was admitted to a London hospital in January for a planned operation and returned to Windsor to continue her recovery.

However, doctors discovered an unspecified form of cancer in tests taken after her surgery.

Today, Kate revealed in a video message that the diagnosis ‘came as a huge shock’ but she was now in the ‘early phase’ of preventive chemotherapy treatment.

Here MailOnline describes her health history.

A two-inch scar on the head

Kate has a three-inch scar on the left side of her head, dating from childhood.

It was first noticed in 2011 when the Princess officiated her first solo royal engagement at a private black tie dinner at Clarence House.

It was confirmed that it was the result of a surgery performed when she was a young child.

An official statement explained that “the scar was related to a pediatric operation,” but that the details of the operation were a private matter.

Royal sources confirmed it had been ‘a very serious operation’ but declined to comment further.

However, surgeons said at the time that the scar is unlikely to be the result of a tumor and may have been caused by the removal of a mole.

Morning sickness

The princess was hospitalized for three days in 2012 due to severe morning sickness while pregnant with Prince George.

She was admitted to King Edward VII’s Hospital, a private hospital in Marylebone used by the royal family for more than a century.

Kate suffered a recurrence of hyperemesis gravidarum (HG) while pregnant with Princess Charlotte in 2014 and Prince Louis in 2018.

This condition caused the princess to announce her later two pregnancies prematurely, before reaching the crucial twelve-week stage.

However, while she was transporting Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, she was cared for at Kensington Palace rather than hospital.

HG can lead to severe dehydration and puts both mother and baby at risk of being deprived of essential nutrients because they are unable to keep food and drink down.

Patients can vomit up to 30 times a day, with exhausting and dangerous consequences.

Kate revealed in 2020 that she used meditation and deep breathing to manage her symptoms.

Abdominal surgery

The princess was scheduled for major abdominal surgery in January and spent two weeks in hospital.

Kate was admitted to the London Clinic in Marylebone and returned home to Windsor to continue her recovery with the support of her family.

At the time, her condition was not thought to be cancerous but no other details of the operation were given.

She was advised to recover for two to three months.

Her absence from the public eye sparked a social media firestorm and a number of baseless conspiracy theories.

It was alleged that at least one employee of the London Clinic tried to access her medical records.

Three employees have been suspended while the hospital investigates the claims.

In a video message released today, Kate said her medical team had advised her to undergo a preventive course of chemotherapy. “This obviously came as a huge shock, and William and I have done everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family,” she added.

Cancer diagnosis

The princess announced today that she is in the “early stages” of treatment for an unspecified form of cancer.

No tests prior to her abdominal surgery had confirmed the presence of cancer.

However, doctors discovered the disease in tests taken after her surgery.

In a video message released today, Kate said her medical team had advised her to undergo a preventive course of chemotherapy.

“This obviously came as a huge shock, and William and I have done everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family,” she added.

“I am doing well and getting stronger every day by focusing on the things that will help me heal: in my mind, body and spirit,” she said.

Kate also recognized others whose lives have been impacted by cancer.

“To anyone facing this disease in any form, please do not lose faith and hope. You are not alone.’

Kate’s battle with cancer in her own words: Full emotional video statement from the Princess of Wales

I wanted to take this opportunity to personally thank you for all the wonderful messages of support and for your understanding while I was recovering from surgery.

It’s been an incredibly tough few months for our whole family, but I’ve had a fantastic medical team who have taken great care of me, for which I am so grateful.

In January I had major abdominal surgery in London and at the time my condition was deemed to be non-cancerous. The operation was successful. However, tests after the surgery revealed that cancer was present. My medical team therefore recommended that I undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of that treatment.

This obviously came as a huge shock, and William and I have done everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family.

As you can imagine, this has taken time. It took me time to recover from major surgery before I could start my treatment. But the most important thing is that it took us time to explain everything

George, Charlotte and Louis in a way that suits them, and to reassure them that I will be fine.

As I told them; I am doing well and getting stronger every day by focusing on the things that will help me heal; in my mind, body and spirit.

Having William by my side is also a great source of comfort and reassurance. As does the love, support and kindness shown by so many of you. It means so much to both of us.

We hope you understand that we as a family now need some time, space and privacy while I complete my treatment. My work has always brought me a deep sense of joy and I look forward to being back when I am able, but for now I must focus on making a full recovery.

At this time I also think of all those whose lives have been touched by cancer. To anyone facing this disease in any form, please do not lose faith and hope. You are not alone.

A childhood favorite is back on B&M shelves after 20 years – and shoppers are delighted.

Malted drinks retailer Horlicks brought back its popular ‘malt tablets’ last year, but customers are only just discovering them.

Horlicks have brought back their chewable tablets

The tablets were originally launched in the 1930s and were supplied to British and American troops as energy-boosting treats during World War II.

They were last available around the turn of the century, but were popular among fans in the 1980s.

The malted beverage company reportedly said it has brought back the candies “in response to unprecedented demand from consumers across the country.”

And it seems like it was the right decision as Facebook users are raving about the treat and some are even experiencing a wave of nostalgia.

“I need these!”, one wrote, “I love them so much. When I find them I’ll clear the shelf,” said another.

A third added: “I had these when I was little after swimming.. wow I have to go get some.”

Even consumer champion Martin Lewis is a fan, joining a group calling for their return.

He posted on X, formerly known as Twitter: “I was just craving Horlicks tablets.

‘I haven’t had one in twenty years. I don’t think they exist anymore. Does anyone know?’

Other fans said: “If I am Prime Minister – and according to recent evidence anyone could be – Horlicks tablets will be distributed to all households.”

BACK IN ACTION ‘I need these’ scream B&M shoppers as they only just see their childhood favorite back on the shelves after 20 years

Another wrote: “I miss Horlicks tablets!!!”

A third posted: “I’m still sad they’ve stopped the Horlicks tablets.”

While a fourth said on Facebook: “We would buy them in bottles! We miss these SO much!!!!! PLEASE please make them again!”

And a fifth wrote: “We used to buy them from the pharmacy as a kid, miss them and still have a teaspoon from a jar of Horlicks every now and then, please return them.”

The treats were originally marketed as an energy booster and were found in pharmacies with products including Lucozade tablets.

But many seem to have enjoyed them as a malty sweet, with some comparing them to the inside of a Malteser.

Shoppers will soon be able to pick up the tablets at discount chain B&M.

They will be launched in all B&M stores next week. You can find the nearest one using the store locator on the website.

The tablets are said to have “the delicious, malty taste and texture of the original.”

They even come complete with all-new, modernized cans. You can buy a pack of 20 tins for £1.75.

Horlicks isn’t the only chain to bring back old favorites recently.

Shoppers are rushing to supermarkets to get their hands on a ‘discontinued’ fan favorite from Nestle that has been spotted on store shelves.

Nestle’s KitKat ice cream tray has been spotted on the shelves of Farmfoods.

Fox’s has brought back its seasonal sticky toffee pudding Crunch creams and shoppers are happy about it.

Lucozade fans literally couldn’t wait to discover a favorite flavor disappearing from supermarket shelves.

The soft drink company’s popular Caribbean Crush was temporarily discontinued last December after problems with the bottle supplier.

Cadbury has brought back a discontinued product that last hit supermarket shelves a decade ago and shoppers are going wild.

Food fans were devastated when the company stopped distributing Christmas chocolate tokens in 2014.

Earlier this year, Home Bargains shoppers rushed to buy a bag of classic ’90s candies, including a discontinued ‘staple’.

The discount store is now stocking a mixed bag of Barratt’s favorite lollipops, including the discontinued Frosties flavour.

Meanwhile, B&M shoppers are excited about a new ‘heavenly’ McVities biscuit flavor hitting shelves.

Plus, Cadbury fans are “obsessed” with a new chocolate bar launching in Britain in December.

Robert Downey Jr. finally won the illusive Oscar in the Actor in a Supporting Role category for Oppenheimer after host Jimmy Kimmel made a very awkward quip about his drug use.

The 58-year-old veteran actor – who has acted for over five decades –  took home the Academy Award over stiff competition including Sterling K. Brown, American Fiction, Robert De Niro, Killers of the Flower Moon, Ryan Gosling, Barbie, and Mark Ruffalo, Poor Things.

The talented star took to the podium to showcase his signature wit and even joked about his ‘terrible childhood’ while accepting the honor.

He said: ‘Thank you, thank you. Ah — thanks, Sam, thanks, fellas. You only flubbed one line. I’d like to thank my terrible childhood and The Academy, in that order.

‘I’d like to thank my — veterinarian — I meant wife, Susan Downey over there. She found me a snarling rescue pet and you loved me back to life. That’s why I’m here. Thank you.’

Robert Downey Jr. finally won the illusive Oscar in the Actor in a Supporting Role category for Oppenheimer

The talented actor went on talk about how much he needed his role in Oppenheimer while thanking director Christopher Nolan and castmates Emily Blunt and Cillian Murphy.

He continued: ‘Here’s my little secret. I needed this job more than it needed me. Chris knew it, Emma made sure that she surrounded me with one of the great casts and crews of all time, Emily, Cillian, it was fantastic.

‘And I stand here before you a better man because of it. What we do is meaningful, and the stuff that we decide to make is important. So, back to my publicist — my agent, Phillip Raskin is here and Andrew Dunlap, my den mother joy Feeley, thank you.

‘I want to thank my stylist, in case no one else does. Thanks, Erika, thank you very much. And I’m just going to say this. My entertainment lawyer Tom Hanson, or 40 years, the half of which he spent trying to get me insured and bailing me out, thanks, bro. Avery in India, this one’s for you.’

One noticeable omission from his acceptance speech was Mel Gibson who he has previously credited with his comeback when he helped him land a role in 2003’s The Singing Detective.

Gibson’s, now 68, fall from grace began in 2006, when the actor was pulled over for speeding. After the police on the scene found an open bottle of alcohol in Gibson’s vehicle, the Braveheart actor launched into an angry tirade filled with anti-Semitic slurs and sexist overtones towards the arresting officer.

In a police report leaked by TMZ, Gibson allegedly shouted to the arresting officers: ‘“F*****g Jews. . . The Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world.’

Gibson issued apologies through his publicist and in an interview with Diane Sawyer, during which he described his behavior on the night of his arrest as ‘despicable.’

The actor/director later pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor drunken-driving charge and was sentenced to three years probation.

It may not have been a wise decision to thank Gibson who famously used those anti-Semitic  slurs as Oppenheimer follows the story of American scientist J. Robert Oppenheimer and his role in the development of the atomic bomb which was used during World War II amid the Holocaust.

In Oppenheimer Downey Jr portrays as Rear Admiral Lewis Strauss, a retired Naval officer and high-ranking member of the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission (AEC).

Earlier in the evening, Jimmy Kimmel roasted Robert’s manhood and past drug use in his bombshell opening monologue.

The host, 56, returning for the fourth time, left the A-listers grinning and cringing in equal measure as he took to the stage.

Downey Jr. 58, who is nominated for Best Supporting Actor for Oppenheimer was stony-faced as Kimmel made a crass joke at the start of the ceremony – referring to the reformed coke addict’s past addictions.

He said: ‘And Robert Downey Jr., one of the highest points of his career. But Robert has been’ – as RDJ pointed at his face, leading Kimmel to add: ‘Was that too on the nose or a drug motion you made?

‘But look at him, he’s so handsome, so talented, he’s won every award there is to win. Is that an acceptance speech in your pocket or do you just have a very rectangular penis?’

The joke fell flat as RDJ looked somber while staring at the camera while fans slammed Kimmel for his ‘bottom of the barrel’ jokes about substance abuse.

Downey Jr. had previously spent time behind bars in 1999 after a long period of substance abuse which stifled his career.

He added: ’20 years ago, Robert played the villain, and correct me if I have this wrong, in a movie where Tim Allen turns into a dog, right? And if you ever decide to remake that film, I have just the guy to play Tim Allen.

The actor’s legal troubles began in 1996 when he was stopped for speeding and authorities found of heroin, cocaine and an unloaded .357 caliber Magnum. A year later, he skipped a court-ordered drug test and spent nearly four months in the Los Angeles County jail.

Following this, he then skipped another drug test and was sentenced to three years of prison in 1999. During this time, Downey Jr. served 15 months in state prison in Corcoran, California.

A few months after his release, he was arrested on Thanksgiving weekend for alleged cocaine and Valium possession and being under the influence of drugs.

The valium charge was eventually reduced to a misdemeanor, he pleaded no contest to the remaining charges and avoided more jail time.

In 2001, he was found walking bare foot around Culver City, Los Angeles, and was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of drugs.

Following year of substance abuse, arrests, rehabs and relapse, Downey made a full recovery and has since gone on to achieve global recognition.

‘I thank you to all the people who have stepped in my path and have been there for me, who has ushered me and guided me. I am so grateful to all you beautiful people out here. For so long, I’ve always wanted to be different, and now, I realize, I just need to be myself. And I thank you. I thank you for seeing me.’

Da’vine definitely did not forget where she comes from as she thanked her acing coach Ron Van Lieu.

When I was the only Black girl in that class, when you saw me and you told me I was enough, and when I told you, I don’t see myself, you said, that’s fine, we’re going to forge our own path. You’re going to lay a trail for yourself. I’m so grateful to all the women who have been by my side, Colleen, Barbara, Tracy Brennan, Sarah Fargo.

‘I have to give a special shoutout to my publicist. I know you said don’t say anything about your publicist, but you don’t have a publicist like mine. I’m forever grateful. I pray to god that I get to do this more than once. I thank you for seeing me. Have a blessed night. Thank you so much.’

During his acceptance speech Cord said: ‘that worked on the film. I’ve been talking a lot about how many people passed on this movie in discussing it, and I worry sometimes that sounds vindictive. I don’t want to be vindictive, I’m not a vindictive person anymore, I’ve worked really hard not to be, and it’s more a plea. A plea to acknowledge and recognize that there are so many people out there that want the opportunity that I was given.’

The 96th Academy Awards honors the best films of 2023 – with the glittering ceremony held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.

The most hotly anticipated movies of the past year – Barbie and Oppenheimer – lead the nominations.

Oppenheimer has bagged 13 nods, including best picture and best actor for Cillian Murphy – who is favorite to win the major category after scooping a BAFTA, a Golden Globe and SAG award for his role as physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer.

The impressive total – which also includes best supporting actor and actress for Robert Downey Jr. and Emily Blunt, as well as best director for Christopher Nolan – is just one nomination short of the all-time record set by Titanic in 1998.

Last year’s other smash hit movie – Barbie – was nominated for eight awards, but also fell victim to notable snubs from the Academy.

Its star Margot Robbie was not nominated for best actress, while Greta Gerwig was not nominated for best director.

Another surprise saw America Ferrera nominated for best supporting actress over her role in Barbie, with pundits saying her character’s impassioned speech on feminism had sealed the deal.

Barbie’s other nominations include best picture, best supporting actor for Ryan Gosling and two nods for best song – including Gosling’s famed ‘I’m Just Ken.’

The second most-nominated movie was Poor Things, a graphic art house movie starring Emma Stone that has wowed critics but so-far failed to set the box office alight.

Stone plays a sex-crazed young woman, with her performance wowing critics. She previously won best actress in 2017 for her performance in La La Land.

For best actor in leading role Bradley Cooper and Cillian Murphy are set to duke it out for the award. Colman Domingo, Paul Giamatti and Jeffrey Wright received nominations as well.

Leonardo DiCaprio was not recognized for his acting on Killers Of The Flower Moon.

Christopher Nolan's historical epic Oppenheimer leads the Oscar nominations with a whopping 13 nods including Best Actor, Best Director and Best Picture - can it beat the record off 11 wins in one night?

Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon and Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer were nominated for best directing, snubbing Greta Gerwig’s Barbie.

Gerwig was nominated for best director in 2018 for her solo directorial debut, Lady Bird. Only three women have won Oscars for best director – Kathryn Bigelow, Chloe Zhao and Jane Campion.

Though Nolan is regarded as the big-budget auteur of his era, he’s never won an Academy Award, nor have any of his films won best picture.

Bradley Cooper was not nominated for directing Maestro but he was recognized for his acting in that bio movie.

American Fiction, Anatomy of a Fall, Barbie, The Holdovers, Killers of the Flower Moon, Maestro, Oppenheimer, Past Lives, Poor Things and The Zone of Interest landed best picture nominations.

IPL 2024 is touted to be the last year for Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni in cricket. Who knows, he might prove everyone wrong with his fitness.

MS Dhoni will lead Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2024.

Ranchi: MS Dhoni can play one more season in the Indian Premier League after the 2024 edition purely on the basis of his fitness, childhood friend Paramjit Singh has revealed. There has been discussion about Dhoni’s retirement from cricket in recent years. The former India skipper is currently in Jamnagar attending Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding festivities.

Dhoni has led CSK since its inception in 2008 and is an emotion for Chennai Super Kings fans. But every human body has a time limit. Dhoni’s fitness and his decision not to play domestic cricket after his international cricket retirement are the two main factors that keep him running even at the age of 42.

In an interview, Paramjit was asked about Dhoni’s future in IPL to which he replied, “I don’t think this (IPL 2024) will be his last season. He is still fit and can easily play another season or two.”

For the unknown, Paramjit owns a sports accessories store in Ranchi called Prime Sports. The two-time World Cup-winning skipper recently sported the Prime Sports sticker on his bat. It is understood that Dhoni is likely to use the Prime Sports logo in IPL 2024 as well.

Earlier, after last year’s IPL final, Dhoni had declared that he would play another year. “The easy thing for me would be to say ‘Thank you very much’ but the difficult thing for me is to work hard for another nine months and come back and play at least one more season of IPL,” he had stated after coaching CSK to fifth IPL title.

“A lot depends on the body. It will be more of a gift on my part, it is not easy for me, but it is a gift. The way they showed their love and affection, I think I have to do that for them.” Meanwhile, Dhoni is likely to join the CSK camp, which started next Saturday. India pacer Deepak Chahar and opener Ruturaj Gaikwad were in the spotlight during the training, along with a host of local stars.

Players CSK bought in the IPL 2024 auction: Rachin Ravindra (Rs. 1.8 crore), Shardul Thakur (Rs. 4 crore), Daryl Mitchell (Rs. 14 crore), Sameer Rizvi (Rs. 8.40 crore), Mustafizur Rahman (Rs. 2 crore), Avanish Rao Aravelly (Rs. 2 crore), 20 lakh).

During a tour of her apartment, the 25-year-old showed off the mix of colors she used for the doors: blue, purple, pink, green, yellow and orange.

And she couldn’t help but compare it to the multi-coloured houses on CBeebies hit Balamory, as she belted out the theme tune during her video.

Parents across the country will fondly remember the program for its iconic song: “What’s the Story in Balamory, Wouldn’t You Like to Know?”

The show followed life in a small Scottish town and its various characters, including Chewin’ the Fat star Julie Wilson Nimmo as schoolteacher Miss Hoolie.

Filmed on Tobermory, it was a huge hit during its four seasons from 2002 to 2005 and has remained a great source of nostalgia for those who grew up with the programme.

Four years old when the show first aired, YouTuber and podcast host Megan clearly still has fond memories of it – and of the colorful houses.

Megan said her own home is all about “fun and colour”.

“There’s not really a color scheme, it’s a bit multi-coloured as you would think,” she said.

She shared her Balamory-inspired house tour with her 78,000 followers on TikTok (@meganowelsh).

It has been viewed almost 100,000 times, with one social media user saying it “takes them back to childhood memories”.

Balamory fan was shocked to see a ‘rude and inappropriate’ scene while rewatching a children’s show

Another wrote: “You made me want to paint all my doors.”

A third added: “Your house looks so nice.”

Meanwhile, a fourth said: “Love the colors of the doors.”

Influencer Megan returned to TV screens earlier this year when the second season of reality show The Agency: Unfiltered aired on BBC Scotland.

The new series followed again Aquarius CreativeScotland’s largest influencer agency, founders Kirsten Cameron and Amy Moore, and their clients.

Since airing, series one and two of the show have now reached a total of over one million streams.

Kirsten said: “We are very humbled by the response to the series. I think its success lies in its ability to share the authentic side of the influencing world. It reveals the reality behind the messages.”

Amy added: “It means so much to us that audiences are coming out in such numbers and resonating with them so much.

“We never expected the series to be such a success, so it’s truly amazing to see both series reach over 1 million streams.”

The first and second seasons of The Agency: Unfiltered can be viewed on BBC iPlayer.

It has been known for some time that grief exceeds the emotional toll and can cause physical health problems.

But what about the very specific grief caused by the loss of a parent in childhood?

Dr. Sohom Das is a forensic psychiatrist from London, who also shares mental health and other related content on YouTube.

In a recent video on his channel A Psych for Sore Minds, he addressed the topic of what can happen to children who lose a parent to death.

He said in his video that this type of sadness can lead to a range of negative emotions, including anxiety and depression.

About five percent of children lose a parent before they reach adulthood, according to psychiatrist Dr. Sohom Das (stock image)

The video is titled The Effect of Losing a Parent Before Parenthood and also includes statistics on how many children lose their parents.

LOSING A PARENT

Parents are important figures in life. Whether you were close or had a more difficult relationship, dealing with the death of your mother or father can be very difficult.

As people get older, it’s common to think that you don’t have to be as angry as when your parent dies. This may be because it’s considered more ‘normal’ for this to happen as you progress in life, but it doesn’t mean your feeling is wrong.

It is never childish to feel affected by the death of a parent, and it is okay to feel upset. Parents are parents and you will always be their child.

“About five percent of young people lose a parent before they reach adulthood, which is actually surprisingly high, higher than I expected,” he said in the video.

The psychiatrist continued: ‘Early parental loss is associated with negative outcomes.

‘[These can include] tension, depressionprolonged grief response and negative effects on self-esteem and sense of self.”

The negative effects can last into adulthood, he explained.

Dr. Das said, “There is also an increased risk of suicide in the future and substance abuse.”

He explained that it can also affect relationships in the future.

According to Dr. Das in the video, “It can even affect the way a child approaches relationships with adults in terms of bonding and emotions.”

His video ties in with a March 2023 study in which researchers from the Karolinska Institute in Sweden looked at grief.

According to Dr. Dang Wei, an epidemiologist at the Karolinska Institute who was involved in the study: ‘We found that individuals who lost a close relative (for example, a child, partner, parent, brother or sister) had a higher risk of atrial fibrillation, heart disease , myocardial infarction (heart attack), stroke and heart failure than those who had not lost a close relative.’

Likewise, he said parents who lose a child are at risk for many of the same negative health outcomes.

The scientists looked at data from the parents of more than 800,000 children born between 1973 and 2016 and concluded that grieving parents “could benefit from more support from family members and health professionals.”

Dr. Dang Wei said his simple conclusion is: ‘[A] broken heart breaks heart.’

Other conditions he listed included an increased risk of conditions from heart disease and cancer to memory problems, digestive problems and autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis.

Museum guides don’t usually sing when they give tours, but that happens when I visit Bob Marley’s former home in the Jamaican capital Kingston.

‘No woman… No cry…’ 24-year-old Oneika Young sings with passion and reminds visitors of one of the reggae star’s most famous hits.

Next to me in what is now the Bob Marley Museum is a fascinating parade of memorabilia, from tour posters and props to his denim-covered bed and the Land Rover, customized with red, gold and green striped seats, in which the singer drove around. .

Such details shape a soulful artist who rose from rural poverty to superstardom, playing to audiences of more than 100,000 people. Tragically, it all ended abruptly when Marley died of cancer in 1981 at the age of 36, leaving behind great music that is as popular as ever.

The late singer currently has more than eight million Instagram followers and is back in the spotlight with the release of biopic Bob Marley: One Love, which hits UK cinemas on Wednesday.

Jammin’: A new Bob Marley biopic features ‘alluring’ images of the star’s homeland of Jamaica. Above is the coastal town of Ocho Rios, where some Bob Marley tours depart

His eldest son, Ziggy, also a major reggae artist, says audiences can expect an exploration of “his pain, his sadness, his joy and his redemption.”

With its alluring images of Jamaica’s beaches, waterfalls and mountains, the film will undoubtedly encourage us to visit Marley’s charismatic homeland. The island has long been popular with British travelers and aims to attract a record 250,000 travelers annually by 2025.

Stretching over 145 miles, Jamaica offers everything from spicy jerk dishes prepared at roadside barbecues to visits to coffee plantations in the lofty Blue Mountains and sunset parties on Negril’s Seven Mile Beach. But it is Bob Marley who remains Jamaica’s most famous export. Here’s how to pay tribute.

WHERE IT ALL STARTED…

The village of Nine Mile, a 90-minute drive east of Montego Bay, is where Bob Marley was born in 1945 and is a popular excursion from the resorts along Jamaica’s north coast.

His parents were a 60-year-old white plantation overseer, Norval Marley, and 17-year-old Cedella Malcolm (they later married when she was 18) who moved to Kingston when her son was 12.

Tours of the shrine-like complex begin at her home and then move uphill to Mount Zion, home to a small Ethiopian Orthodox church and the rudimentary two-room house in which Marley grew up, plus a marbled mausoleum where Bob and Cedella are buried. . A five-hour group tour from Ocho Rios costs from £93 pp including lunch (islandroutes.com).

Number 56 Hope Road is a sprawling 19th-century mansion in central Kingston, where Bob Marley lived from 1973, surrounded by fellow musicians and Rastafarians. A highlight is the wood-lined studio where hits like Buffalo Soldier were recorded, along with bullet holes left after a 1976 assassination attempt.

For the richest experience, book a combined tour visiting the atmospheric recording studios of Tuff Gong, a short drive away, where you can see rehearsal rooms and vinyl record pressing machines (tours from £20, bobmarleymuseum.com).

STRAWBERRY HILL

This wooden luxury hotel is owned by Chris Blackwell, the Jamaican record producer who brought Bob Marley and The Wailers to the world’s attention. It is located at an altitude of 950 meters in the majestic Blue Mountains, an hour’s drive northeast of Kingston.

Music fans can visit a Gold Room with awards presented to Blackwell’s label, Island Records, including some from Marley and his band.
